His highlight film looks good as do many prospects. I listed him because him and Sternberger were the only 2 TEs they brought in a private visit. As you said you didnt like him I viewed many draft profiles and he is more of a 4th or 5th round pick but has good catching ability.

Since Pace is going to go with the BPA, here is my list of players I would be happy with with draft value around that spot in the draft. Henderson/RB Sanders/RB Sternberger/TE Oliver/TE Howard/OT McGovern/OG Jordan/OG Miller/edge/Ala Walker/edge/Georgia Savage/S Hooker/S Johnson/CB/Ken Long/CB Obviously there are some higher ranked players that would be good, but I doubt if any of the top 50 would drop that far.

If we take Love , 5th at the earliest, prefer 7th.
-
The problem is you have to trade draft capital of which we dont have and also a 4 to 5 mil contract. Not likely.
-
NIchols is a player, there is usually a big jump between the 1st and 2nd year.
-
I think if Sanders or Henderson is there we take them in the 3rd. In the fourth Singletary, or Williams In the fifth I think they like Armstead or Weber In the 7th James Williams or Mattison. I actually think if we didnt draft a RB we would be fine with Nall moving on the roster and Patterson taking 40 reps.
-
The more tape I watch the more I get confusion. I have been watching some tape on R. Anderson and he looks pretty good, minus the injury worries. Also Mattison from Boise State, has a good highlight film.I am not sure why but I keep thinking R. Armstead will be our pick in the 5th.

depending on draft value for the round hes picked in but a nose tackle backup not as a 5T.
-
We have cap money, but someone like Suh would probably demand a 8-10 salary for one year. He made 14 mil last year.
-
I think he goes with BPA in the first 3 rounds , so anybody we dont get a depth positions we miss in draft we will definitely find after vets are released.
-
He is listed as a starter and started the last 5 games. There is usually a big jump from year 1 to 2 because of adapting to playing at NFL speed and the fact they get stronger on a program. Yes a stud there would upgrade the front 7 but there is no guarantee one will be there in the third round.. Anybody as BPA Im ok with. If LDT, or OLB, but I really dont see a WR or NT at that spot.
-
Why will he cost to much, you mean as a 3rd pick? Personally want them to grab a 5th round pick.

Since I am not very bright, I look to the Bears and their visits to give me clarity in the RB choices. 4 RBs came in for a visit after viewing them at their pro day. The Bears have to make an effort to go to a pro day as in having players come in for a visit. Williams Singletary Weber Lexington Thomas There are 5 players that we used a visit and had back for a private work out Sanders Williams Singletary Weber Armstead So to narrow down who we may draft, early rounds would be Sanders, and Williams, maybe Singletary I can see us waiting until the 4th or 5th and grabbing Weber, Singletary or possibly Armstead. Something that makes me curious is we have not visited with Henderson, who I personally thought was the best fit for Nagy's offense. So I think the Bears like Williams and Sanders the best. I leave Singletary out of the conversation because his lack of speed takes away the explosive plays they want in the RB situation. If they wait until after the 3rd, I think Singeltary is a possible pick if he slips to the 5th I also think they are high on Armstead and Weber in the 5 th. So my conclusion is Williams in the third or Weber in the 5th.

I think we could already have some of the replacements on the roster to replace the players you mentioned. Joel Iggy, Coward, and Tolliver. We do not Know what the Bears thing of them. We lack backups at S and OL so I think those could be more priority.
-
With limited picks, I see us concentrating on the offensive side of the ball.Except for one DB and maybe a OLB.
-
As much as i like all the picks, I think that draft a OL somewhere in the draft. The defense is borderline the best defense with filling two positions with decent replacements. We have Ted Larson, ( very average) and Sowell ( very average) as our backups . I see us drafting someone like Max Schraping that could fill backup at both positions and possibly taking over for Long after this year. Nagy claims we have a great defense but a poor offense so I see up adding to the offense more as a priority. So a RB, TE and OL help first. I absolutely think we may trade back and get more picks. Mid range picks are strong at RB, OG and TEs, so I see us addressing those early. RB- Jacobs, Mongomery, and Sanders will be gone. Possibly that Henderson and Williams will be borderline at our 87th pick. So that leaves us Singletary, Weber, Armstead, Hill, Harris, Snell, Ozigboh, and Mattison. OL- in our draft value range Dieter/OG, Edgoa/OT, Samia/OG, Howard/OT, Little/OT, Daley/OT. Later in the draft-Edwards/OT, Schraping/OT-OG, Evans/OT-OG, Powers/OG, Jordan/OG, Bars/OG. I think Schraping and Evans fit our situation in a 4th round range. TE- Oliver, Wilson, Smith, Sternberger,Knox, Warring, Moreau, Raymond, Mack. If we trade back(good idea) and end up with a 3rd, 2- 4ths 5th, 2- 7th. Williams-3rd Schraping-4a S or CB-4b 5th- Warring 7th- OLB 7th-CB or S

The starters are Hicks, Goldman, Nichols. Backups are RRH and Bullard. Bullard is very average and has not shined. But RRH and Nichols have looked good. That also resigned Nick Williams to back up Goldman for the second year. So they must like him a little. Yes they could use one strong draft pick but I think they will draft some depth players in positions where we could have cap casualties next year. To replace Long, Prince and Trevathan because of their high price contracts. Plus they will definitely draft a RB even thou you won't like it. I just seen a mock draft that satisfied a few needs that look good to me. Hooker in the third which can play S or CB . Max Scharpling in the fourth who can play OG or OT. Which could end up taking Longs place or be a swing OT backup. Mike Weber in the 5th round. I have been watching a lot of tape on him and I have to admit he looks pretty good. We actually have met with him 3 times. 7a Carl Granderson/edge 7b Mark Fields/CB.
-
Those are definitely all the positions we will draft. I dont think Crosby would last that long but I would get on board with that draft. With all the RBs we have met with, I do not think we have a visit with Henderson , which I think is odd since he probably best fits our RB traits they look for.

When I say Davis is #1 back I do not mean as a traditional #1 with 250 to 300 carries. I refer to him as the lead back of a committee. Davis 150 to 175, rookie 100, Cohen 75 to 100, and Patterson 20 to 50. I also think Nall finally makes the everyday roster. With Patterson and Cohen, Nagy will like to play with his toys as the others fill their roles. If we had signed Hunt, I think he would have been more of the 200 to 250 type of player with the others filling their. roles. Its going to be interesting to see how the carries play out, but I think Davis has more of a role than we originally thought when we signed him.
-
here is a mock I did on Draftnetwork that I could get behind. 87 Deionte Thompson , S Alabama 126 Devin Singletary , RB FAU 162 Kendall Sheffield , CB Ohio State 222 Shareef Miller , EDGE Penn State 238 Alex Bars , IOL Notre Dame

Last year we were saying they have such a tough schedule and they went 12-4. I can see them still being a better team and going with 10-6 or 11-5. Injuries and development of MT will be the key factors in winning less than 12 games again.
-
If the Bears view Davis as the #1 back then I think they draft a RB as a RBBC type. Williams probably fills that role the best. If they take BPA in the first few rounds, I can not see that being a RB.I think Hooker is an excellent choice the 3rd if he is there. Can play a S or CB slot and take over next year as HaHa seeks a new contract or Skine does not pan out. Also if a edge rusher slips a round, I can see them valuing that as a priority because of the questions still related to Floyd not taking a next step. So I do not see them grabbing a RB until the 5th round .
-
With Miller in the slot, I see no way we draft a slot WR in any round.
-
I am not sure why, but I keep thinking Armstead is going to be our RB pick especially as a later round pick. Not my favorite back.I like Henderson first , then Williams.
-
Because of his health. More as a WR maybe in the slot or catches as a RB.
