  1. I am not sure why, but I keep thinking Armstead is going to be our RB pick especially as a later round pick. Not my favorite back.I like Henderson first , then Williams.
  2. Because of his health. More as a WR maybe in the slot or catches as a RB.
  3. RB distribution; Davis - 175 Rookie-100 Cohen -75 Patterson-40 Nall-50 Trubisky-40 Last year we had 467 rushing plays. I think we have a uptick in rushing (480) with the offense being more efficient.
  4. I went over 5 big boards on websites I like , example: GBND and draft countdown, Bleacher report-Matt Miller At 87 here are some draft picks I think we are interested in M, Jordan /OG M. Crosby/EDGE T. Howard/OT D. Singletary /RB D. Montgomery/RB M. Dieter/OG D. Knox/TE J. Oliver/TE Evans/OT D. Savage/S A. Hooker/SS-CB B. Benzschawale I. Johnson/CB At pick 126 J. Steinberger/TE T. Williams/RB J. Jelks/EDGE K. Boyd/CB C. Miller/EDGE S. Smith/EDGE at pick 162 M. Scharping/OT E. Banogu/EDGE J. Moreau/TE T. Armstead/RB J. Jackson/CB As far as getting value with our picks that apply to our depth.( I think they consider players that they may need to replace current vets for future cap decisions that also add depth at those positions. With pick 87 I think they take A. Hooker than can play both SS and SCB. That gives up potential of replacing those currently on our roster at those 2 positions we added. With pick 126 I think they take a edge rusher, C. MIller fits the athlete with upside. Later rounds have less value at this position. With pick 162 I think they take Armstead to fill out their need at RB. Also they have had 3 visits with him. In those rounds it could also be a CB, OG and TE. I think they draft Alan Bars/OG with one of their 7th round picks. I also think they address CB in the last round with a J. Moreland and D. Long could still be there. We have Coward being developed that could man the OT spot so that makes that position less draft able. Also we could use a blocking TE which I think we can find as an UDFA. Lets see who you take, here's my draft. 3- Hooker/SS-CB 4-Miller/EDGE 5-Armstead/RB 7- Bars/OG 7- Moreland/CB
  5. I think the possibility exists we could move back in the 3rd and pick up a 5th or 6th round pick. I'm to lazy to look up the trade value is.
  6. If he goes BPA, it won't be a RB in the 3rd. I think Jacobs, Sanders, and Mongomery are off the board in the second round. Williams and Henderson go ahead of us in the third so the value won't be there with our pick. I think it will be Singletary in the 4th or Armstead in the 5th.
  7. The bears are going to draft a RB. I personally think they would be fine with Davis, Cohen, Nall and Patterson getting 40 carries but I think Nagy wants a guy he thinks fits his offense 3 rd Hooker/ S 4th Miller/OLB 5th Armstead / RB They have met with Singletary 4 times and Armstead 3. I think Singletary will be gone but Armstead is still there.
  8. I agree, they like to use their RBs differently when running the offense. I am not sure why so many fans hang on to players like their part of their family. Nagy is 12-4 as a head coach. I trust him to get better so have to trust what type of players he wants. We may not have the same record as last but could be a better team.
  9. I read where we are getting a 4th round comp only. Also players may be on the roster already to replace the expensive free agents. Joel Iggy could be taking Trevathans place if he continues to develop. A sure drop off but you have to have some cheap contracts with Trubisky contract coming in 20. I think we draft a CB and S as potential Dix and Prince replacements next year. Also tolliver and Joseph are still here. As some newer players get better , cheaper ones will be replacing expensive vets, just the way it works.
  10. Anybody that is mad about the Howard trade just need to watch these tapes and it is all explained. The Sobel tape is excellent. As far as watching tape on draftees, Henderson and Williams seem to fit the scheme the best. More than Sanders and Montgomery .
  11. I like the fact we're getting players that are hungry for a fat contract. If he stays healthy for a whole year, he could get 6 sacks and a long term contract somewhere.
  12. That's a good article. I can him getting some reps there. Also I heard they were going to give reps to Coward at RG. Might as well use assets and move them around.
  13. Its about this year and depth, not comp. picks.
  14. I think Nagy wants to expand his offense and Howard limited his options. Howard has value to someone just not in our offense. He excelled under Fox but we we were a losing team. Now we're winning so let Nagy do we he wants.
  15. This offseason is working out nicely. Something to consider is having Mack and Smith around for the whole year should have a uptick to the other players with their work ethic. We added a little more speed. A better SS, a more physical slot corner and a full year of Smith.
  16. If they draft a TE in the 3rd or 4th, I would say they have doubts about Sheehan.
  17. A 6th was all they got. So that is his value. They said last year they had an offer of a 3 but they a good record and didn't have his reply. This year they will add 3 new RBs and still have Nall.
  18. There going to sign a OLB, and TE yet in free agency. I think they are focused on a RB, but if a OLB or OL are their at 3 , they may jump on it. Matching what Nagy wants , I would say T. Williams, D Henderson, Sanders all fit . Hard to say on how they grade them but they may like a lower rated RB they think they can get in 4 or 5. I think thinking ahead they need to replace Long (another injured year will decide his fate), or Trevathan as far as projecting the cap savings. I think Joel Iggy is designed to take over for Trevathan so OLB , could definitely be a target.
  19. I think they know what their doing. You can not assume prejnjuries. What if they keep Howard and he got hurt? You can apply coulda to everything. It makes little sense to hang to someone you clearly don't want and let him leave with nothing in return.
  20. There doing Howard a favor and at least getting something for him. If he gets X number of touches, it ramps to a 5th rounder. His touches were going to go down, so it created less value for jordon on the open market. Nagy wants to push the offense forward, he thinks Howard bogs it down.
  21. He made many mistakes in his first few years but he is rolling now. Last 2 years have given us players that have us on the brink of the SB. The first year he had the old regime scouting dept. Also until last year he had Fox in his war while drafting. Anyone going to disagree those are 2 negative aspects of what he did.
  22. The best safeties in nfl history was players that had turnovers and impact plays. Amos isn't in the conversation. HaHa can do this. So maybe he is a slightly less at tackling, how much does that matter. Although last year and in his career, he has less missed tackles. Haha
  23. I like the website firstpick.com. it allows trades us using many different grading sites instead of just one.
  24. I like that one, not sure we draft a WR .
  25. 2 years 24 mil and a starter. We were never in the mix.
