A few game notes: Floyd is starting to become one of the better players on this D. He is all over the place, Since he got the cast off, he has 4 sacks, 1 interception for a TD and plays the run exceptionally. MT was calm and consistent, his running skills are amazing and keeps drives alive. One of the reasons for this run is the fact we have good luck with injuries, the best in the league for lost starter games.

The reason I became a Bears fan was in my teens watching Sayers and Butkus and the asshole neighbor Packer fan. Cohen isnt Sayers, but a very good player and is the most important weapon on the field. Dont get me wrong, A-ROB is a #1 and we have good skill players, but he makes all DC know where is on the field. He makes the rest of the offense go. Very important to this offense.

All of this was suppose to be next years results. Since we have come this far, puck it, might as well make a SB run.

I know when these gadget plays fail it makes Nagy look bad but Nagy's play calling has given life to this offense and a few misses isn't going to be a big deal. It will come in to play that ones of these type of plays might lose us a game but some of those type of plays have won us games to. He is way ahead of the curve on those fluffy plays. MT was quite back in the groove, not great but consistent and no TOs. My only complaint(we won) is he is using Mizzell to much, I dont get it. Cohen and Howard both are much better players.

Next year we have 26 million if we just cut Sims. Enough money to bring back Amos and Callahan. I would say Long comes back but they will have someone in line to take his pace because of his injury history. Along the line we have Sowell, Coward, and Willie Beavers to take Massies place. They are all signed for next year(Beavers is on the PS). With Long back we still have need a backup which may be Wizzman comes back but that would be cheap. Also Dejoin Allen is on the PS, he may be a starter after next year for Long. I think they are grooming him to possibly be a starter, I heard they like him but needed to put on weight and get stronger. We also need to resign Lynch for a backup which will have a low salary. I think next year that Nall could get boosted to take Howards place and they trade him at the draft for a low round pick.(we dont have a 6th, that may get it done) The draft will get us some needed depth at S and OL, and maybe another OLB. They could also grab a RB or CB, although we have 4 CBs on the PS plus Tolliver, so the backups may come from that group.

I would say he should be playing well at that time and 23 would be a cheap price for a quality QB.

AZ if they pick up MTs 5th year option we get him for one more year. I tried to find the cost of which that would be. Do you know what that would be? 2017 23 $465,000 $465,000 $4,813,625 $0 $0 $0 $5,278,625 3.2% 2018 24 $892,238 $1,784,656 $4,813,625 $892,328 $0 $0 $6,598,281 3.7% $23,753,811 ($17,155,530) 2019 25 $152,156 $3,104,312 $4,813,625 $1,552,156 $0 $0 $7,917,937 4.2% $17,155,530 ($9,237,593) 2020 26 $2,211,984 $4,423,968 $4,813,625 $2,211,984 $0 $0 $9,237,593 4.6% $9,237,593 $0 Total $3,721,378 $19,254,500 $4,656,468 $0 $0 $29,032,436

I think the problem is their are some positions you have to have cheap options when the big contract kicks in for Mack. We have Coward behind Massie,, so that would be an easy transition but little depth behind Calalhan and Amos. Hopefully we can get favorable contracts from them going forward, I suspect they will want to stay here.

I think this is a best choice to replace. He has played as well as anyone at slot corner all year but will be doable overall. Better than Prince, Fuller, or Jackson getting injured.Probably even Amos considering we have no depth at S. We have signed Marcus Williams to replace him on the roster but will definitely see McManis starting until further notice. Other options are Tolliver.

thank you, remember I am not the one that started this thread going, just added my opinion just like you and everybody else. There is two ways to look at things in life, some people look at something to find fault and some people look at things to feel good about.

Bill, MT is being developed. Since we have a dominate defense, it seems like now MT is expected to be good every game. Developing a QB does not work that way. Next year he will be more consistent and make less mistakes, unfortunately their is no fast track to making a QB good, it takes several years. He had his worst game of the year coming back from an injured shoulder. Ride his ass after a few games if he isnt playing better, dont think is the game we start the a dump Trubisky swansong. Keep in mind with a new coach, new system and several new players, we were not suppose to be good until next year, this is just a bonus, enjoy it.

This is stupid to be talking about you being a negative person, everybody has known that since you have been on here. Its ok to criticize , we all do , its just your theme song. You have made comments all day and no one said anything. The comment Mongo was referring to was at the end of game. Look at the timeline. You should learn to enjoy life a little, we beat a very good team and everybody was excited, and you throw your little comments in and then spend days trying to back pedal. Posted Sunday at 09:41 PM Somebody tell me again how much better Trubisky is at running the Offense than Daniel? If it weren’t for the D...this game would be a pure disaster.
-
MT deserves to be criticized, I think the general consensus here is we just beat the best team in the NFL, just rushed for a ton of yards , and had a dominate defensive effort against the highest scoring team in the league, and the first thing out of AGs mouth is (to criticize MT)? I think most people would be excited about the victory and you can do the criticizing later in the week. Its fine to want and expect more out of MT, but he is a developing QB, he will have good moments and plenty of bad ones. He just come off a injury, two weeks off and it was freaking cold out. Those are all components of having a bad game.
-
Blah blah blah, MT played a lousy game, coming off of missing 2 weeks, an injury and it was cold for him too. So lets get back to the point, we won the freakin game, deal with it.
-
A weird game, Rams 6 points, the only TD was by a OL, and our QB had a lousy game. Sounds like a good scheme to me.
-
When I said you were a negative person, this is the perfect example of it. We hold the top scoring team in the league to 6 points and your complaining about MT. Seriously
-
The difference is, Aaron has been playing in GB for ages.
-
I do not want to come across as a asshole, but Kenny Clark got hurt in the Alt game. Hopefully he will not make it back for our Bear game in next week.

Why the Bears have a chance? Was listening to the SCORE this morning and Greg Gabriel was on and made some good points. He thinks the D will dominate tonite. Coming off of the 3 games in 12 days, he thinks the team was fatigued in the second half of the Lions game and then in the second half of the Giants game. The only way for the Bears were to stay fresh was is Daniel dominated the time of possession on offense. Chase played like shit and the Bears D dominated in the first half. In the second half you seen sloppy tackling and it ended the way it did. He says they all should be recovered 17 days later. Also LA played on the road in Den and had the lowest point total of the year. This is the second game in two weeks on the road for LA and it will be colder. MT has the ability to keep drives going with his running so it will keep the LA D on the field longer. Also Goff is a fair weather guy, lived in Cali, went to school in Cali and plays in Cali, he is not use to cold weather. The Rams D has big names but have a poor set of LBers. He thinks Nagy will construct the game to attack the middle of the field and keep LA running sideline to sideline the weakness of the Rams D. Cohen will be hawked but Miller and Burton should have big games and then that will open up the up the middle running game that will get Howard involved in the game. I would say 23-20 Bears but do not be surprised it you see a 27- 16 score.

this is excellent, good call. Pace had some iffy picks the first two seasons but boy is he rolling now on the last two drafts. He picked MT, Cohen and Jackson on a draft he gave away draft capital. This year: Smith is a potential game changer going forward and leads the team in Ts. Daniels is a 10 year starter at LG. Miller is the future star on this team. Joel Iggy will end up taking Trevathan place in two years. He needs to build up his body and experience. Nichols is already in the rotation as a rookie and making plays. Fitts needs time to develop but has the body of a starter. Wims made the roster as a rookie and will get more playing time next year. I will contend that Pace has had the best drafts in the last two years and that is with trading draft capitol that everybody complained about. Next year we will a 3rd, 4th 5th and 7th and I have no doubt at least 3 will up for a roster spot.

Im a plumber and I was in the back of my truck getting a chain to pull out my car I got stuck in the snow. I am really good at pushing buttons with her. She picked up a crowbar and said I out to hit you with it, and I dared her. Not the personality type you say that to.
