  1. I think in a game situation, he is not throwing 30 passes in 30 snaps. In the preseason he had chemistry with Trey Burton but you will notice, Burton only had one catch. If I was head coach, I would have played him more in every game, but I am just a fan and my decisions will not cost my job as a fan.
  2. True, but if he had more time simply working with the offense in 'game time' mode, he'd be that more in tune and better prepared to deal with changes like that. Just to be clear, I don't blame him (Trubisky) solely for the loss, Nagy had a lot to do with it. And yes, I feel the Bears must win next week against Seattle to not only redeem themselves but not make Mack think he made a mistake in signing with this team. lol. I do not believe 30 more snaps matter to the development of MT. As I look at the landscape, we are the healthiest we have ever been going into the season. Remember if we played MT, then the other starters would be out there and maybe a key injury. I think Nagy knows it will take some time for all of this to fall in place so he was cautious. In the overall picture, it just doesn't matter.
  3. 28-20 Seahawks Can I suggest taking an antidepressant drug. Wilson's Oline sucks, I suspect Fangio has Smith shadowing all day, so not much in the running game for him. The running game isnt very good for Seattle. The only way this game goes the wrong way is if we have several TO's. The only vet in the DBackfield for Seattle is Thomas. They will get touched today. Oh by the way, Wright and Wagner arent playing today. This will not go well for Seahawks.
  4. I'm calling 30-16. SeaHs get a late TD after we get tired. I think they try to get Burton heavily involved and Robinson scores a TD. Howard goes over 100 and 5 PCs. 1 TD. Cohen scores a TD and the defense scores again.
  5. I doubt if they give him 100% of the snaps but would rather have a inexperienced Smith than a slow Kwiat
  6. Another note, RR-H can play. Had several pressures plus the sack. Need to mention Mack is all world. I can't wait until he is playing 90% of the plays.
  7. I live and die with our wins, do I get angry, no, just feel bad. Very excited after the first half, but when I seen Rodgers come back in, I knew this was going to be close game. Their is a handful of plays that turned the game. If we just got one of them that went our way, we would have won the game. We are very close. Many are saying this is the same old shit. It is not even close. Our defense will be dominate in a couple of weeks. Nagy will make some mistakes but I believe he will improve on his play calling. MT is going to be good and bad , that will take some time but with the improvement of the rest of the offense, his learning curve will be much quicker. The lost is the only thing that is SOS, be patient its coming sooner than we may expect.
  8. I bought the NFL game pass this year because I will be spending a lot of time in Thailand so I can watch the games. I have been watching the tape of the game in a condense state and have a few observations. I only have watched the first half several times not into the second half yet. On the one play that we ended up kicking a FG, MT moved to the right in a passing situation. He turned and threw to Miller that didnt advanced, Cohen slid out to the right to the goal line and was wide open. It should have been a TD instead of settling for a FG. Both OTs looked good in these drives. our DEs got held a lot on passing downs, particularly Floyd, they were bear hugging him almost every time. its amazing more holding penalties were not called. Kwiat took a lot of bad angles to the RBs and was out of position when in coverage. He is a backup, PERIOD You can tell the club on Floyds had is bothering him a lot, you can't control your rushes when you only put one hand on a OT to make your second moves. Hicks is a beast was double teams consistently.
  9. This is nothing like our recent past, the losing is but this is a whole different offense that will not be fully functional until at least mid season if not next year. The defense will be up to speed once Mack and Smith are up to speed, 2 more weeks for that. The offense will have good times and bad times, but the pieces are in place for a full arsenal of good. It is just going to take time. Nagy is learning so he will screw up to but he's not John Fox or Trestman. We're walking up the stairs, its one step at a time.
  10. This was on Nagy. In his last two games that count.(last year in KC) He shit the bed. Hope he learns fast. actually in the KC game a sideline reporter stated that Reid took over play calling in the second half of that game that was not on Nagy but this game was.
  11. First of all after getting by the disappointment, we were playing ARod in GB, the outcome is usually very bad, this looked a little better. I think the defense got fatigued in the second half and showed in a lack of pass rush and some blown coverage's We were a Kyle Fuller dropped INT away from winning that game.MT had to much adrenaline at the end of the game and missed on several game ending plays..( he's not ready yet to take over a game) but the arrow is pointing up. I think if we had given Howard the ball more at the end of the game we would have won the contest. I think if MT had rolled out on those late pass plays he would have had a good option to run when no one was open. It may have turned out different. We were a few individual plays away from winning that game. Mack besides Aaron Donald the best D player in the league. He walked out of a gym and put on a D onslaught in limited snaps. Smith will make tackles that Kwiat couldnt get to . Nagy gets a C+ for play calling but I will say we have a legitimate NFL offense now. I get drunk with Koolaid every week so I always think we should look like we did in the first half but the truth is, I just wanted us to look respectable playing in GB in our first game. I think we accomplished that. Lots to complain about but now we have many things to look forward to. Mack Smith Allen Rob Howard Cohen RHH Hicks The defense is two weeks away from being dominate. (as Smith and Mack gain their football speed) The offense has lots to look forward to.
  12. I think Blair Nichols is going to end up contributing a lot this year, enough that they dropped J Jenkins who instantly got picked up.
  13. With total high expectations, even if they win, I will have some disappointment. Only blowing them out will satisfy my excitement. I have never told anyone that I thought I was very smart. I see the first play on offense: RIII and Gabriel sprinting downfield, Miller and Burton going underneath routes and Tariek Cohen coming out of the backfield to take a pass and going all the way.
  14. I think with the improvement of the front 7, he probably more than anyone will see a uptick in performance. You have to worry about the OLBs, Hicks and will be getting more from the right side I think with R R-H than Bullard. He should be single team every time and that will bode well for his performance. I know NTs don't usually see a large stat sheet, but the best in the league are better pass rushers than Goldman.
  15. If I am drunk on Koolaid, I say we win 38-23 but the sober me suspects 24- 16 Bears. Defense starts to shine, offense starts to show some pop.
  16. I would have liked him to have taken the next step forward before a big contract. I am not saying he is bad, but with that kind of contract, I would expect better stats.
  17. I would love to see 38- 23 but realistically it all comes down to being mistake free and having only a few penalties. I suspect their will be some turnovers and those will tell the story.
  18. This is what Pace has did in his 4th year for our starters, their are some competent backups but it is far from perfect, enjoy the good. Burton is going to be a top 6 TE, sometimes you have to look at the system and the intent , it isn't all black and white. Sims is a good blocker but is not your pass catching TE although he can do that. He sucked last year because he wasn't used properly.
  19. I am drinking a lot of blue and orange colored liquid. I see us as 10 to 11 wins this year. This sounds stupid for predictions but after going 3-1 in the first quarter of games, you guys will understand where I am coming from. Mack and the D will put the offense in great field position for most of games and Nagy will know what to do in the red zone this year after the grey Fox put us into a coma.
  20. first of all, the price, the contract doesn't matter because the most important players on this team are far away from a second contract. MT-Floyd-Smith- Miller(yet to be proven). This put us in the position to be the elite defense in the league. Bringing Mack in will line Floyd up to make a pro bowl with all attention going to Mack. Pressure from both sides. Smith will develop into a pro bowl player, making potentially 3 pro bowl LBs with Trevathan as a very good player still. Then we have 2/3 of a stellar DL with Hicks , Goldman and the developing Bullard or Roy R-H. Our DBs ended up being a strength of the D last year and they will have another year together. Barring injuries, defense will rock. Imagine Hicks and Mack on the right side tearing up the OL. As far as the draft picks we are virtually trading Mack for 2019 first rounder. We give up a 2020 for a second and a 3rd for a conditional 5th. Considering we will be drafting no lower than a 15 in the next few years, and Raiders will have higher picks, this trade does not look as a bad value at all. Remember we are getting a top 5 player in return that is being put on a Vic Fangio defense, that will be like Fangio going to heaven. Mack-Floyd-Smith-Hicks- Goldman, this is an elite defense and Fangio will know how to use them. Give this 2 weeks for Mack and Smith to blend in before the monsters come to play every Sunday.
  21. So anyone guess the player traded? I'll go out on the limb and say Nick WIAT
  22. I have never seen Ryan Pace naked but I bet he has big balls.
  23. Does anyone want to complain about Cam Merideth not being here anymore? He had 2 catches for 72 yards and a TD for the preseason. I think he does okay but his injuries has limited his playtime in the preseason. On the otherhand, had we kept him, we may not have taken Miller in the second and definitely not Wims in the 7th. I will have to say those 2 will be core players going forward thanks to that decision that I as well as others complained about. a few notes: Wims could be very good. Blair Nichols can play. Coward will be our starting RT next year. I think Nall takes Michel Burtons spot on the roster.
