I think they keep him instead of Burton as a FB. Adds more versatility at that position. If Howard would get injured, he would be more suited for the starter role than Cohen or Cunningham.
-
There is no QB controversy, it is absurd to think that. What I do like is to see if MT misses some time, Daniel can handle the position. MT is the starter for many reasons. If their was a controversy , we would have seen MT for Nagy to figure it out. He already knows who is the best QB. If you want to figure it out, look at Chases history in the NFL and it will tell you a story.

I think all of our running backs seem to be looking for a roster spot. Who makes it: Howard Cohen Cunningham Mizzel Nall Davis I might have to say, Davis makes the cut being Nagy brought him here, Howard, Cohen and Cunningham. Nall to practice squad.
-
I would have rather seen the starters, but if our backups look good, I say that is a good sign. Game scheming seems to be getting people open no matter who they are. Our 2nd stringers seem to be much better than the 3's. Success breeds success. Wims lets me forget about Meredith and reminds me of Jeffery, am i drinking to much cool aid.

Our backups taking it to KCs starters, things looking good. I keep seeing Irving all over the place, may have found our other OLB.

broken fingers is not a knee or shoulder but it will affect the use of his hands in a pass rush. I heard and interview that said with surgery today, he has time to know have to wear a cast on his finger in the first game. We will see.

A few names that stuck out to me. Burton, Miller and Blial Nickols. He looks like he can play. Coward also shows he can play OT. I personally would rather have him start and live with his rookie mistakes than Massie.
-
Deal is done today, will not play this week, hopefully some next week, surely week 5.

After such a good day from Nall, we go out and sign Knile Davis former chief.
-
I think we just have a long way to go yet for this to function like a well oiled machine. I agree the OL did not look good, but Gino Atkins is a beast and will make anyone look bad. The positives, Shaheen, Daniels, Coward, Nall and Nichols. The only preseason game that matters to me is when everyone will play in the 4th preseason game . The rest is just seeing positives from the younger players. I think Nall is competing against Burton for a spot, there is no way they keep 4 RBs and a FB with the strength of the TE spot.

Two open spots in TalkBears $25 Keeper league

I am going to a Cubs game on Labor day, so that would be a bad day for me for the draft. -
The kind of contract would be detrimental at this time in the development of the team. You got this guy coming in with a huge contract , it would later affect every contract going forward for our core players. It would put everything out of wack. Mack is the type of player you take when you made the playoffs and need to take that final step to get to the super bowl. We are 2 years away from that . Smith is going to be a stud once he gets in here, and as good as Mack is we can still get a lot better without him.In the last two years Mack has had 10.5 and 11 sacks playing from the DE position in their defense. Will that translate in the OLB position in our defense?
-
I thought getting a stud player with good character and a hard worker would be no problem being into camp. I think the CAA put the on field hits into the contract and the Bears caved in to get him in to camp. Then CAA added other parameters into it because they saw a pushover in negotiations and this is where we are at. Smith has say so but not like he has ever did this before and is in a catch 22 situation. I see him being in camp within a week, pushing this to the limit doesn't bold well for either side. The extra practice time because of the HOF game puts this is more public place but one week will still be plenty of time to get acclimated to the NFL and start.
-
The best thing is it was the start of football. Nothing else really mattered. Notes: the defense had 8 sacks with shows we may be on the right track to have some kind of pass rush. Wims showed himself that maybe he can make the 53 man roster.
-
Ro Smith has pro bowl written all over him so no matter how well Kwiat looks, it won't last long. Reaching for a pass rusher at 7 doesn't passing by the best player on the board. It will prove out.
-
Everything I read all the the WRs look good. What if K. White turns into who he was drafted to be, we will have one of the better WR group in the NFL. Miller is a stud and will absolutely be on the field a lot. The only thing on O is the swing tackle position, do not hear much about it but could be huge if one of our average starting OTs get hurt.
-
Amos is not a play maker, a good S but the ones that get the big money get turnovers, one interception in 3 years is not quite there. No reason to extend him early. Let the year play out and if he improves, give him a contract. I doubt you have to have a FA battle with a bunch of other teams wanting him.
-
I think Lynch ends up not making the team, I do not remember if they gave him any guaranteed money or not. I think when R. Smith gets on the field he will be a regular blitzes. Also they will have some blitzes coming from the S position. So they will be creative with their sacks if they are limited to Floyd as the only true pass rusher from OLB.

Two open spots in TalkBears $25 Keeper league

This is Vict. Secrets, can I quit and rejoin and take Crushers team? I have a shitty team for a keeper. Besides that , I will keep Keenan Allen that I drafted in the fourth which means I lose the 3rd but I figure the 5th rated WR is worth a 3rd round pick. -
This is stinger and I will be in this year, have been out of the country and lost track of time.
-
That's awesome, he has everything you need to succeed in football and life. Our next all pro LB on the horizon.
-
He is smarter than I am. I mainly stay on social media to connect with friends overseas, but it sometimes gets the best of me. Twitter is a good for quick information but get caught up in the trolling of people I do not agree with.

Everything seems to be going well. Kudos for a good dude that sacrificed his body.
-
I think they would rather take the upside of a younger player like Lynch, Irving and Fritts. I think when training camp is over and maybe a high paid vet gets released, they may still add a player, similar to the Sitton acquisition.

The addition of our offense mined coaches that will upgrade the contribution of all of our weapons, he could turn out to be a wonderful surprise. He's motivated, healthy(cross your fingers). Robinson Gabriel Miller Burton Shaheen Howard Cohen and White. this could be huge
