Shaw is not going anywhere no matter how much you try to push a point. He's not even interviewing for jobs, that may be a clue.

I always change between music and sports. There is a lot of bullshit, but there is some content worth listening to. No app allows me to listen live from this country but can listen to podcasts. Thanks guys for your input.

I'm in Colombia for the month and can't get the score on tune in or radio.com. anybody have any ideas on how to listen when out of the country?
-
I haven't heard him interviewing for any jobs. I think he got a new contract last year and doesn't want to leave.
-
Fangio is already the 2nd highest paid DC in the league, he simply has to want to be here.
-
DePhillpa and Shumar are both interesting candidates and would have no problem with either. John is the fresh face and Pat is the stable vet.
-
I think the reason they showed up was to let everyone know he has been extended for two more years. If Pace would have announced that himself it would have been quite tacky.
-
The only problem with that scenario is Nagy is OC already and KC doesn't have to let him interview for the job. DePhillpa is a QB coach

As much has we like many players, the teams will be going by their slotting of the value of the players available. I have been paying attention to many sites and with that, these observations. Arden Key OLB ( he is the second rated pass rusher on most sites after Chubb. Chubb wont be there but will be the only pass rusher rated in the top 10) Harold Landry OLB ( he is ranked all over the first round but would be safe to say he will be in the 10-20 value range of all players) Conner Williams LT (he is all over the board by draft sites, as high as the top 10 to early third round, so I will rate him a late first or early 2nd rounder at this time) Orlando Brown OT (he is usually consider as the 3rd best OT after McGlinchey and Williams but is shown first and second rounds, I will value him late first round or early second) Mike McGlinchey OT ( he is generally considered the best tackle, some top 10 to late first round, so will give him a 10 to 15 rating) Calvin Ridley WR ( he has been mostly taken late first or early second, and some other WRs rated higher, so will rate him a 20 to 30 valued player) So by everything I have seen up to this point, I would say at 8 if we keep the pick, Arden Key has the most value and second would be McGlinchey as the second highest rated) If we trade back, Landry and Fellin comes into play in the middle of the draft, or one of the OTs. I would take Key in the first and still be able to grab a good OT in the early 2nd. Maybe Brown or more likely Okarfor or Miller. Maybe a trade down in the second to get a third and still be able to get a good OT. Then with the third grab a WR with a deep class of WRs.

Pace must have thought this out well, because his first interview is with Wilks and satisfy the Rooney Rule. I think the prime situation for me would be is to hire Toub as the HC, bring Fangio back as the AHC/ DC and hire DeFlippio as the OC. I realize that is a pipe dream but hey, why not.
-
In several draft sites I have looked at so far, Chubb and Key are the only 2 early round pass rushers rated in the top 10.
-
There are only a few top end pass rushers in this draft and will have to draft them at the top of the round. I want a OT but there are possibly 6 and some will slip in the second round, so grab our OT then. WRs are to risky to take that high (White) so grab in the later rounds or with a trade down.
-
All they will do is take a draft pick away, they will never force GB to release their star.
-
For me, AZ mentioned that Murphy was a free agent this year, I would make a run on him, a couple of WRs and draft Quentin Nelson (rated a top 5 player) in the first and Chukwuma Okorafor/OT in the second and then in the fourth grab a WR and CB. Keep Nelson and let Sitton go, and use his money to tie up 2 WRs and Trent Murphy at OLB. So LT (the very average Leno) LG Q. Nelson (a beast) OC Whitehair, RG Long (groom Morgan to replace him in a couple of years)RT Chukwuma Okorafor (a huge man) Then the Oline will be fix with some young guys and help both the protection and the running game.
-
Ripley isnt rated that high on the overall board, most I have seen is late first round but I seen one draft where 3 OTs were drafted in the first 6 picks. Key will probably the second guy off the board after Chubb as far as pass rushers,. If there is a run on QB then Key should be there.

I looked at over the cap website and this is what it shows for his contract. 4.5 would be the cap saving not the cap hit Current Contract Year Age Base Salary (Guaranteed) Bonuses Cap Number Cap % Dead Money & Cap Savings Prorated Roster Workout Other 2016 31 $800,000 $3,100,000 $1,566,668 $2,300,000 $50,000 $0 $4,716,668 3.0% 2017 32 $1,000,000 $2,200,000 $900,000 $2,200,000 $0 $0 $4,100,000 2.5% $4,000,000 $100,000 2018 33 $3,500,000 $900,000 $1,000,000 $0 $0 $5,400,000 3.0% $900,000 $4,500,000 Total $5,300,000 $3,366,668 $5,500,000 $50,000 $0 $14,216,668 5.4 mil is what he would be paid if left on the roster

As I look at contracts, Pace definitely makes mistakes but the one thing he does is front load contracts, everyone that didnt live up to expectations has a cheap out. I think we may bring Houston back and Jones. Jones can play either and is a valuable backup. I suspect it depends on who our DC is next year, hopefully its Fangio, but no one knows. One player that did not pan out is Junior Galette in Wash, I wonder if we can bring him in cheap and revive his career. He was very productive in NO.
-
Actually the Rams arent playing their stars, so probable
-
He was our best OLineman this year. Long? Massie gone, have to bring him back and groom Morgan to take his place in 2019.
-
We dont have a third round pick, two fourths thou
-
I think we need to resign Jones and Houston and maybe Acho, we need to move on from McPhee and draft one with one of our first two picks.
-
I think he projects to the second round right now that would be a good option at that point of the draft. I also like Celin Ferrel, hw will be top 15, so he will have to be drafted in the first round.
-
First of all, I think Sims has value in a system that is QB friendly. Yes he is over paid, but look at the injuries at that position, we going into next year with Shaheen and who? Also we need to resign our leading tackler this year, Christian Jones, so valuable filling in at both ILB and OLB.
-
He show a little his rookie year and regressed the next two and last year played well. You take a chance on any player going forward but I think he is worth the risk.
