Pace has taken a lot of heat by his overall draft: Trubisky, I dont think many will complain about actually taking MT its the trading up the one spot that deserves criticism Shaneen has yet to produce but being a 2nd round pick , you expect more this spot in the draft. Cohen and Jackson were taken in the fourth being we gave away our 3 rd pick. Great choices Mogan got drafted in the 5th with the jury still out on but looks like a potential future starter. Re doing the draft with out the trade #1 Still take MT but with the third pick. ( He looks like a potential franchise QB that we had to address in this draft) We could have later taken Watson but to properly judge this pick we have to wait to year 3. #2 In the second round the only OL available worthy of that pick is OG Forrest Lamp which was lost for the season early. The other best selections were D. Cook/RB ( with Howard we were not drafting a RB here) and is on IR M. Maye/S (they could have taken the safety but appeared to be set on drafting Jackson later in the draft) they now have one of the best FSs in the draft getting in the 4th round. Z. Cunningham/MLB ( with Freeman, Trevathan and Nick K) I didnt see us drafting a MLB this high D. Thomalson/DT ( starting for the Giants and has played well) With Goldman and Hicks,Bullard ascending probably not on the radar to draft here. J.J. Smith- Shuster ( looks like a good pick going forward was average until his last game) With the WRs we had in place I did not see us drafting a WR this high. In hindsight knowing all of the injuries we had would have been a good pick but probably not playing that will with our QB situation Adam Shaheen with Miller almost done and Sims being primary a blocking TE, I can understand this pick. #3 This is a round we traded but would have been a few good players at this point: K. Hunt ( we could have drafted him instead of Cohen in the fourth but before the season Hunt was probably not on our radar) we still had Howard Copper Kupp ( with the injuries to our team would have probably been a good selection ) Has played average but has a bright future the only OT drafted in this round went on IR early Antonio Garcia Pat Ellifin/OC didnt see us drafting him with Whitehair in place Jordon Willis/OLB has had some moments as a rookie but has not been consistent (potenial draft choice at this spot in draft) Cordrea Tankersley/CB is starting but has been very average I think being we only would have had one 4th round pick we probably would have pulled the trigger on Jackson here #4 If we have drafted Jackson in our original third the only worthy pick other than Cohen at this point was Pass rusher Carl Lawson with 4.5 sacks at this stage #5 We drafted Morgan here of which the jury is still out .The other few players that has stood out. Aaron Jones/RB Jake Elliott /K George Kittle/TE No OL or WR worth anything taken in this round #6 No one of note at this time #7 No one of note at this time

We are an ascending team, if we didnt keep getting the injury bug this would be in the top 3 Ds in the league. What if Freeman was still playing and we didnt keep getting chipped in the backfield? Demps. We have a monster in Hicks and ascending players in Goldman, Bullard and Floyd. Barring anymore injuries we could still make the playoffs with a little luck.

The problem is we have to play an error free game to win. 3 plays changed a win into a loss. The offside on Fuller on the FG, cost us 4 points. The missied FG and the bad call on the Miller pass and we could have won this game. There are many other plays to look at but we keep shooting yourself in the foot. The one thing I will say is the two pass calls look bad for play calling but I do understand when you have a guard playing center and two backup Ts playing guard , you may not have as much trust in the running game as you would normally had. I would have had a rollout with an option of hitting a TE sliding to the flag or MT running it in. We simply have no margin of error and the injuries keep pushing us lower on the roster.

I think the Bears make Brees uncomfortable has around 260 and 1 TD and an interception. The only way they have a chance is if they run the ball well early and have major clock time. A few deep plays and your 24-23 Bears.

I have been playing FF for 20 years and a long time ago someone gave me some good advice. I am a person that always tries to be cute so I play with the lineups. He told me that you should always play your best players all the time. They can have some duds but will ascend over a period of time. Overall you come out better in the end.

Pace has taken a lot of flack for his first round picks since he has been here but I still think he has did a good job of developing a core of good players going forward. I heard one interview from a former GM talk about Pace and that the draft is only one part of the over all picture in building a franchise and he thinks he as did a good job. This years draft could have potentially brought us our Franchise QB that is still yet to be determined but the arrow is pointing up. The jury is still out on Shaheen but I think his upside is tremendous, you can't teach size. Jackson is looking like a future all pro type with a third round slot. Cohen is a gem, and as long as not overused will be a valuable asset for this offense going forward. Morgan has the upside to take over for Sitton as the first to go in the middle of the OL. Also added was Demps(an injury casualty) , Cooper, Prince, , Sims, Cunningham, and Jenkins. You can't plan for injuries sometimes that is just bad luck. On the downside Glennon was a sham, and the WRs he signed doesnt look to amount to much but at least he addressed our needs. No GM makes all moves that work out. Last year he drafted Floyd that is looking like a solid and potentially spectacular pass rusher. Whitehair who isnt having a good year but looks like a 10 year starter. Bullard who is starting to log in some quality minutes. Nick K is a solid addition to this football team and will transition well when Freeman ends up leaving. The jury is still out on Bush and Hall but still have upside. Howard is the gem of the 2016 draft a franchise RB in the fifth rouind. He also brought in Hicks, Trevathan, Freeman and Sitton, all core players and great additions. He also signed Kush (injury casuality) and Roy Robenson-Harris a potential core player. In 2015 he drafted White which is turning out to be a bust but you can't figure in injuries when acquiring talent. Amos and Goldman are core players and Langford had his moments that no longer matter. He also added McPhee (injury issue) Callahan, Timu, and Unrien all solid rostered players. Over all he has established our core players but have made some mistakes along the way. We are in an excellent cap situation so the mistakes have at least not handcuffed us going forward. Core additions: Howard Cohen Whitehair Floyd Goldman Sitton Callahan Jackson Amos Nick K Trevathan Freeman Merideth solid additions: Unrien Cunningham Sims Cooper Prince Jenkins Miller Jury still out but upside: Tribusky Shaheen Roy R-Harris Bullard Kush Demps Jordan Morgan He has made some big mistakes along the way Glennon (ouch) McPhee injury issues White injury issues but not his fault Do not look at money spent because we are in excellent cap space going forward or draft position and his core group look great going forward. I think he gets a B for his job so far and if Trubisky works out a A.

So are you saying we need to try to get him back? That will be 3 years in a row that he is very average and will still be wanting a big contact. We need to get Landry and I think try to get Adams that will not only add to us but take away from GB. So next year we have Merideth, Landry, Adams, Inman, Gentry, and a draftee. It will start to resemble a NFL roster.
-
Any additions will help, next year there will be 3 new WRs so it only matters this year. You figure when Wheaton is back we have in and Inman with Wright in the slot and it at least one step forward. I think they are planning on using Cohen as a slot WR more going forward to get both him and Howard on the field at the same time.
-
He has upside but isnt he Cam Merideth? Stud might have been a little bit of a reach. 2017 BUF 5 4 12 172 14.3 47 1 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 2016 PHI 14 13 73 804 11 54 3 -- -- -- -- -- 1 0 2015 PHI 16 12 85 997 11.7 78T 8 -- -- -- -- -- 2 1 2014 PHI 16 10 67 872 13 44T 8 -- -- We simply need to add whatever we can for upgrade, I think Landry will cost a lot but would be a good addition. Add in Cam Merideth, and one more plus a draft pick.

Of course value will come into play but in the first two rounds both those positions need to be addressed. as far as FA WR: Sammy Watkins ( potential #1 but boom or bust) Quincy Enunwa ( maybe a #2 but could be a good option) Allen Robinson ( a #1 but lots of injuries along the way) Jordon Matthews ( roster addition but just depth) Terrelle Pryor ( could end up a #1 but still has doubts) Ashton Jeffery ( wont be coming back) DeAndre Hopkins ( stud that will be franchised) Devonte Adams ( may be a go and get probably just a #2) Jarvis Landry ( if not franchised we need to go and get) as far as FA OT: The only name of note is Nate Solder and he aint leaving NE. So we need get Cam Mereidith back healthy and go after(IMO) Adams and Landry. (Hopkins will never make it to FAency) Lenos contract will not allow him to leave before 2019 when he only has 2.5 million in dead cap space. So I would say draft a RT high in the second round and later in draft to replace Leno in future. We will address pass rusher or WR depending on value with first round pick.

Its forming an identity now but we need to run well, and start mixing in a west coast type of ball control and we may finish over 500. I have been a strong opponent of we were a good team but did not see it happening this way. The next game needs some offense, and we will be having an excellent chance at making 500.

For your wasted money on Sims comment: I think with the poor QB play, Sims will have a uptick with Trib. I think he added two TEs on the fact Miller has not been healthy for the last two years, so going forward he has the position covered. For your Glennon comment: He didnt scout him right. He was suppose to be a QB sabby pocket passers. Come to find out, we all knew he wasnt athletic but he is slow in his reads and decision making, he screwed up on this FA. Actually the money doesnt matter, it is basically a one year deal. 3.5 to walk away next year. I agree he should have got a OT but so far the OTs have been playing decent. Some of the problems with sacks and timing is the ginger giraffe takes to long to release the ball. For example the fumble in the TB game where Massie was riding his guy to the outside and Glennon goes back instead of moving up in the pocket. Miller was open that he should have released the ball quickly, instead he goes back and gets sacked and fumbled. There wasnt much to grab in FAs at LT but old rejects. He made an offer to Wagner but didnt go the extra 2 mil. (he should have) I think the injuries we have sustained has derailed the offense and then add the ginger girraffe and it hasnt found much rhythm.I think Trib changes that .

There is a lot of criticism to go around for where we are at,but I think Pace has a plan that is headed in the right direction. ISSUES: At QB Glennon was paid good to be a average QB, his pertinacity to commit TOs has derailed the original plan to let Tribusky learn on the beach. Tribusky's time is now At WR Jeffery didnt want to be here, he took a one year contract instead of a 4 year contract we offered, unless we gave him huge money, he wasnt going to be here. Jeffery is average 4.2 receptions a game with 50 yards and .05 TDs. That would look good on this team but are not great stats. White was suppose to take off but instead took off back to IR Merideth was our best WR and injury derailed his advancement and hurt a great deal. We signed Wright and Wheaton that was just suppose to be additions but has turned out to be the lead WRs. Not part of the original plan. The plan started out with good intentions but has blown up due to injuries, not part of the plan. At RB We have Howard and added Cohen, a very good plan. The addition of Cunningham is a plus also. At OL We had Long coming back from injury, Sitton, and Whitehair with Kush as backup. That blew up when Kush got hurt , Sitton has a rib injury and Long was delayed getting back. It was originally a good plan, but again injuries have blown it up. OTs have become serviceable but with the other injuries have the overall look misguided. At TE With Sims, Miller and Shaheen, I think this is not a weakness for us but still needs to be utilized. I think bad QB play has contributed to this not showing its strength. AT CB I think the additions have improved our situation. The two that got away, Gilmore and Bouye have not exactly been difference makers for their teams. At S This was sitting good until the recent injury to Demps, the jury is still out. At LB This was very solid, Freeman getting hurt, Kwiat getting hurt and with Trevathan being suspended has derailed this strength. Floyd has yet to gel and McPhee is still on the field. At DL This group has being playing well but still has room for improvement. Overall, I see his original plan as being good, again injuries have contributed to this not working out. I thought we would be 3-2 after our first 5 games. We should have beat Falcons and we still can salvage a win against Vikings so all is not bad as it looked after the Packer game. Lets face it , the future is moving Tribusky along and I think with better QB play we can still be competitive.
-
The one good thing is its over. I would say its means it will be the last Glennon sighting. You cant start games with 3 turnovers and expect to compete.
-
I have never had a enema before I think the Bears need a team enema.
-
When we are breaking bones and rib issues is has to due with just dump luck. When you have a rash of soft tissue injuries that is attributed to workout problems.
-
I think with the less and less of hitting in the preseason that it is takes teams 2 and 3 weeks to get their kinks out. We now have an identity. Power run was a west coast type of passing game. Let Wheaton get his legs under him and we will start to open up a passing game. Defense is starting to come together , a lack of pressure is bothersome but we will work that out with more blitzes.
-
Its a short week so they will have Glennon this week, but with 11 days off, our future will begin. If all we are doing is underneath routes and throwing to our RBs , it will be no problem for Trubisky. He will make some rookies mistakes but his ability to make some plays will make us better. Hopefully Sitton is back and our power game will take off.
-
well we got it anyways, cool
-
last week got derailed when we had 3 turnovers early. I am sure , the new QB will target him a little more.
-
This is what a 3-13 team looks , like so much for a positive attitude. Time to let Glennon visit the bench for the rest of the season.
-
they were saying, he didnt practice in the red zone offense and that is why they didnt have him there at the end. Cunningham had that role before he got hurt. So I get that he didnt play, throwing him in there when he didnt practice with that phase of the offense probably could have been hairy.
-
Last year when we played them they had 4 sacks, 2 int. , 2 FRs, and a defensive TD . They are decent against the run and very average against the pass They had 38 sacks last year. Last year Howard had 15 carries for 100 yards and lost one fumble.
-
It going to come down to the last 5 minutes of the game and we will be in the lead or with a chance to win the game. Almost every game will be like the first one. We will play well enough to win the game but some breakdowns or TOs will make the game close.

Were just throwing darts at the board and hope one sticks. I think it turns around when Wheaton comes back. The deep threat
