This is the bad injury, Trevathan isnt quite up to speed yet, but will be in good hands with Kwait
-
He joins the practice squad and Tanner gets his shot
-
I agree but with that said, the OTs had decent blocking grades. The defense stuffed the run, limited Jones and the oline limited beaselys effectiveness. We were good but a dew mistakes blow us up. We are just not good enough yet to win with mistakes.
-
Alford is the new signee at WR. Not a big guy but has speed. I think they will throw him on the outside and let him run to loosen up the tight d on the run game and underneath wr routes
-
That wasnt his fault, you need one more second to get the ball out.
-
moral victories just arent good enough. Had it and couldnt finish.

I cant say why but , I am just so energetic when the Bears are playing well. They will keep it close and hopefully grab a TO and win the game.
-
This is going to come down to us running the ball well and taking the run away from Falcons. I think Cohen will make a big splash in the game. Lets say 12 touches with a TD. If we win the TO battle we have a good chance to win. I think last year everybody jumped in with Fox always doing well in his second year at a new team, but the truth is this team needed another year to rebuild the worst roster in the NFL. This is basically the Fox year to start the turn around. We would have had double the wins last year but was decimated by injuries. Hopefully this year injuries wont derail our rebuild. Losing Cam will hurt but who last year seen him as a asset going into the new year, no one. So I suspect someone will step up, it would be nice if White was that person, and Wright having a good year.

I get the spread thing, the second statistic is win and loses. All of this is a suggestion of hope that we have a chance to be competitive.
-
Some things to note, the losing team in the last superbowl is 2-15 against the spread its first game since 2000. Another statistic is since 1993, the losing team in the Superbowl is 2-15 while on the road in the first game the next year. It will obvious come down to turn overs. If we win the TO battle, we will win the game. Cohen will make you think of Tyrek Hill from the Thursday night game.

Two teams got rid of him, not a good look on a resume. PFF had him listed out of the top 50 Safeties.

I have stated many times that I think the Bears will be much better than people expect. The lose of Meredith hurts quit a bite but I still the possibility of them upsetting ATL. They will stunt the Falcons running game and apply pressure on Ryan in the passing game. On offense they will power run, using up the clock with much two TE sets, just enough offense to score 20- 23 points. The key will be to have a TO advantage during the game. I say 23 -17 and Cohen scores the winning TD.
-
I think they must be waiting for Wheaton to come back to hold down the TEs and RBs with a FB. If it stays as it is, this is a two TE power running game and expect the D to be very good. I think as they may add another WR, they let everybody set there practice squads and have a better chance of one of the TEs to be released and brought back on the PS. Baunnecker comes to mind. Wheaton is expected to be back after one week so I still expect them to add one WR to complete the squad. I also see them maybe having Brown line up at WR on some sets, he use to be one.

Glennon will start the season and will be okay, not flashy and very average. It is clear to see Trubisky needs some time to adjust. It will all fall into place at the right time. We will run the ball and have a west coast type offense, with a top 10 defense, we will not be 0-5 to start the season.

There was many things to like about last night. I think glennon is a non exciting backup, what he has been all his career. Does not flash but he will just be very average, but will start the season as the starter. Tribusky will end up being the starter by the end of the year. He still has some things to learn and not starting him right away will be smart. A lot of people here complained about the draft but this will end up being outstanding. Cohen will be a Tyrek Hill type and see 10 to 12 touches a game . He is worth the ticket by himself, every play can be exciting. On defense, Bullard, Freeman, and Jackson played very well. Floyd is going to be a stud, I agree one more year will help him a lot but he still will have 10 to 12 sacks this year. I think we are okay with our first sting DBs, but the backups seem to have a lot to be desired. Demos and Jackson will absolutely cause TOs. Once we scheme on defense and put more pressure on the QB , we will be in play for more TOs. Another thing is our run defense played well going against David Johnson. I have said we will be a top 10 defense and it looks more and more like that will happen. White needs to show more but I think there is such a expectation with him , he feels pressure and it is clear who Glennon likes, Meridith.

they keep trying to get rid of Carey but he keeps coming back. I suspect after Howard and Cohen, it will be who has the most upside with STs . think Langsford is all but gone.
-
I would say 6, but I do not see a problem with them doing that. I actually think they will have a winning record. The reason Fox did not have his typical bump in his second year was because the roster was in worst shape that expected and they had the worst injury situation in the league. I think he finishes his contract here.

We have plenty of time, If anyone can get ahold of Jason, we can have this up and running in a couple of days.
-
I am going to be in China from Aug 22 until Aug 29th and will not know if I will have internet connect allowing me to draft online. They censor stuff over there, so if we can avoid those days, Im in, if it works out for one of those days, I will have to pass. I dont remember the amount but think it was 30$ to get in. i would prefer more like 50$ but dont remember it being that high.
-
I agree with hindsight that looks like a dumb move but picture yourself sitting there wanting to draft Tribisky and KC just called to try to get your pick and you know they are QB hunting. So do you take the risk of losing your potential franchise QB or what is effect a 3 rd round pick for that right to get who you want. They traded down and got some picks back. QBs in Chicago have not been good since going back to McMahon. The one shot at fixing it , so you take that risk. I dont agree with it but understand why he did it. In 3 years when Tribusky is a top 12 QB, Shaheen is little Gronk, Jackson is a high end safety, Morgan is starting since Sitton will be gone, and Cohen is a version of Tyrek Hill. We will not remember our opinion.
-
This draft will go down as one of the best draft ever for the Bears. First and foremost we will eventually have our franchise QB. Shaheen and Cohen will make day one contributions and end up being on the all rookie team Jackson will start early and be our playmaker in the DBfield. Gentry will make the team and end up being one of our top 3 WRs going forward. Morgan will come along slower but will be a starter once Sitton is let go. Many reasons to be optimistic, with all the negativity going on with our draft this year, everybody will look back to this year and say (OMG)
-
Pace took a lot of negative grades for drafting Shaheen and Cohen, but as everyone will see, both will be very productive their first year. Laff at me nou, but making the playoffs is not out of reach. It will start with an upset with Atlanta. They will have SB hangover, and we will have many surprises.

Bullard is up to 300 lbs, I expect to see much better play from him. Floyd has put on 15lbs. I think what we have is many players working their ass off to be better which will only make this team much better. I think we have a sleeping giant.
