  1. Taylor has not been released yet, so its hard to fit him in a conversation until he is let go.
  2. I didnt like the idea at first, but we know what Hoyer is, Glennon has an upside we may not have seen yet. And most importantly it is new blood instead of looking at the same thing as last year.
  3. I have been trolling twitter and it seems to be the four players we are in play for are: Gilmore/CB DJ Sweanager/FS Wagner/RT Glennon/QB If that is what we end up with , I would be okay with that. Pace is big on not paying more than a value he sets like last year he wanted Jerkins/CB and Jackson/DE but would not go over his placed value. I think this year he over pays for Gilmore and knows he has to do that , to secure a better Oline, paying Wagner would not be a bad thing. Pace knows to move forward he needs a good Oline and Wagner would be one more piece. Sweanger would be consider a up and coming ready to blossom player, I can buy that .I prefer Harmon from NE but they are doing the scouting not me.
  4. I see the two egos clashing much sooner than later.
  5. I dont think Glennon is 5 mil better than Hoyer but on Bears all access, Miller was talking about he has enough upside to actually become a competent starting QB. So do we roll the dice, grab him and still draft a prospect and see who ends up better. We are the only ones after his services so if we give him a 3 year 32 mil contract, who that be a bad thing?
  6. Gilmore is clearly more of a play maker than bouye.
  7. If the reports are true Jeffery and Glennon will both get 14 mil a year. Jeffery is worth it but think we may not get that deal done Glennon is not significantly better than Hoyer which is less than half the cost. So you sign Hoyer to 15 mil, 3 year contract, he has no problem being a bridge player and is statistically in the same tier as Glennon. So with the extra money we sign Jack Doyle to a three year contract 16 mil. ( he is a good blocker and can catch the ball) allow us to play 2 TE sets that enhance the running game. We sign Kyle /FB he is an excellent blocker and can catch the ball and run. He would be great support for the running game and short passing game. 3 year 11 mil We sign Ricky Wagner/RT he adds to our already strong OL We sign Robert Woods 4.51 speed -excellent route runner and great hands, gives us a dependable WR for Hoyer to go to and can play out of the slot. Other signers are Duron Harmon/FS Gilmore/CB Campbell/DE In the draft we trade back for people to get a shot at a QB- 1st Thomas/DE-OLB 2a Obi Melifonwu/CB 2b Zay Jones/WR 3 Peterman/QB At QB Hoyer-Shaw-Peterman( I have seen people say he wont be any good to actually comparing him to Derek Carr) At WR White(still a ?) Meredith a potenial #2 Zay Jones a future stud Robert Woods a good reliable wideout At Te Miller-Doyle-Brown-rookie At FB Kyle Juszczyk good blocker and receiver
  8. I think we give Hoyer a 3 year=15 mil contact with 6 guaranteed which is essential a one year deal.
  9. Here are a few free agents, to not be surprised at signing Hyde/CB-S he can play several spots on defense which fits in Fangio's defense to not change personal and will come cheaper that most DBs on the market.
  10. we coached him at the senior bowl, we already know about him.
  11. i am starting to get on your bandwagon with Thomas, I seen one NFL profile that compares him to Justin Smith, I think Allen gets pushed back with the medicals . I still think we would be better off grabbing Campbell, and draft Adams at 3.
  12. I have stated I like Gilmore better than any of the other CBs but I think everybody will drive up the price to wear we look for other value.
  13. I think SF takes him, He is the type of player Shanahan looks for.
  14. here is what they are going to do, screw the rumors that is just writers posing opinions. We will resign Hoyer, the Bears do not let anyone know what they are doing. We will take Peterman in the third and develop him.
  15. I think all the talk about Glennon is just a ploy to get Hoyer to sign a cheaper contract, since there is very little difference between the two. 5 mil or 12 mil? its not brain surgery
  16. I seen some draft profiles and comparable players was fletcher cox for Allen. Thomas comparison was justin smith
  17. his surgeries have not been recent, he just has lingering condition for the surgery of 2 years ago and 1 year ago. I think Pace has to judge whether it affects his career or not. Nobody is taking him off the board because of it, but some may move him down 10 spots on there ratings. I also think we need healthy going in players, but if you start eliminating everybody that has any injuries in college, it starts to limit who your going to choose.
  18. I think the report of Arthritis is over blown and wont move him out of being the second best player in the draft. Doctors have reported that the problem will be a later in life problem not one for his career in the NFL. So he is back in play for our 3rd overall pick.
  19. Last year we signed Trevathan on the first day and then a few days later we got Massie and Freeman. In this post i am only referring to new players not resigning our own. So on the first day I see us grabbing a up and coming player going into his second contract. Duron Harmon/FS-----------------6'1" 205 He has been a part time player that has been good when playing in the last two years. He has 4 int. I think we had eyes on him having practiced with NE last year in the preseason and fits Paces mold for players he goes after. I also think in the few days following we sign Logan Ryan/CB and jabaal Sheard. I think these two are versatile and ascending in there career. Logan Ryan is an up and coming CB that fits what Pace looks for. (26) Sheard has been productive in a backup role and gets a change to start opposite a combo of Floyd and McPhee. I tried to think out of the box with these picks instead of usually suspects. Chances of us grabbing 3 players from NE is slim but these are the type of players Pace will target.
  20. I think its 60-40 he wont be back, but I do not think that is set in stone he wont be back.
  21. We may want to think about Foster after he got kicked out of the combine. Immature hothead
  22. You really think he will work for low bucks?
  23. There clearing a bunch of cap space, that may single a trade for Cutler.
  24. Would you give a third round pick for Sheldon Rickardson? I hear Jets trying to trade him.
  25. Here is a draft I just did, the first time I went over 10000.
