  1. yes thats true, they could trade also, its a my best case scenario, odds are slim but its out there. I guess it all depends on who believes Jimmy G will be good, hard to say what other teams value.
  2. NE said that is what they want, they wont be getting that for him. Chandler Jones, a very good edge rusher went for a 2nd and Johnathan Cooper.
  3. With the #1 pick, they said they were taking Garrett, but its a franchise with such low expectations that getting a QB would boost the fans morale. They have extra draft picks and could be in the position to inject that energy into the franchise now.
  4. He is no guarantee but he has time on the NFL field, plus working un Belick and Brady, I think it gives him an upper hand in being more ready from the 1st game on. If he was in this years draft he would be the first QB off the board. STRENGTHS: Good, not great, height, body type and hand size. Better than adequate arm strength with a snap release that produces some juice. Live arm with his experience coming from a pass-happy offense. Excellent passing vision with quick eyes to scan and a quick, natural delivery. Smart and executes the offense well. Quick intellectual process on the football field. Above average timing with little unnecessary movements and very good pace in his set-up. Quick feet to evade pressure with the pocket mobility to move his lower body with his eyes focused downfield. Gets "happy feet" at times, but shows the ability to reset. Very good touch and overall placement with improved accuracy to all levels of the field throughout his career. Level-headed and always under control with a strong leadership presence. Confident thrower and short memory. Elite career production as a four-year starter at the FCS level. WEAKNESSES: Lack of elite velocity will show on some NFL throws. Needs to continue to improve his decision-making and not allow pressure to severely alter his process. Bad habit of forcing throws in small windows. Lower-than-ideal release point with an almost side-arm motion. Needs to get his feet under control on a consistent basis and regularly step into his throws. Must continue and develop his pocket awareness and internal clock to feel pressure. Holds the ball too long at times and will take unnecessary hits. Experience is in a FCS spread, shotgun attack; needs to become more acclimated with under-center snaps. COMPARES TO: Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys - The comparison goes beyond coming from the same college program. Both lack elite physical skills, but are productive due to their timing, smarts and quick release to get the ball out. --Dane Brugler If his upside is Tony Romo, I can live with that.
  5. My best case scenario for the offseason would be this. Mike McCoy signs on as our assistant HC Jeffery resigns as a team favorable contract we sign as FAs Kewaan Short- playmaker at 5t Trumaine Johnson/CB Eric Barry/FS we have the money to spend might as well go after the best In the draft: we trade our first round pick to Cleveland who then selects a QB and we get #12/2nd round pick/3rd round pick with the 12th pick we take Tim Williams/edge rusher next to Garrett the best edge rusher in the draft 2) we trade our 2nd round and our 4th round for Jimmy G (we get our QB prospect with NFL experience and less risk that a first round QB ) 2) Ryan Ramcyzk/LT drops to the second round due to recovering from a hip injury 3) Jordan Leggeit/TE a deep TE draft this year 4) Kevin King/CB a big playmaking DB 5) Isaac Rochell/DL more depth for DL 70 K D Cannon/WR can play in the slot replacing Royal we get our QB prospect with less risk we add some playmakers in FA and draft find the LT spot, that is huge
  6. Im not referring to draft experts, I am talking about NFL scouts and former scouts. Of course they are not always right on evaluations or someone like Tom Brady would never last until the 6th round, but they have a higher percentage of being accurate than the common joe(me or you). Dont get me wrong, I would love him to be the next great QB but he has flaws. So I am just stating that at 3 he would be over drafted and is not a early round value.
  7. your right about all of that except that Watson is not as low risk as you think he is, look at what scouts say, not everybody that watched him play a wonderful game. He throw two interceptions in the game. he has limitations on his route tree. Everybody judged Young to be a good QB from his championship game, where is he now.
  8. To be honest I would like us go after Pryor, and still sign Jeffery.
  9. Im hoping McCoy stays available and becomes the assiant HC and take over the play calling . Promise him Foxes job when his contract is up. He is a good offensive mind with a Fox history.
  10. I like your choices except a RB in the fifth.
  11. You say BPA and then blow up your own opinion by saying Watson is the third best player. He is not. He will get over drafted, but is a high risk choice anywhere in the first round. If we drafted him, I would be supportive but not sold on the pick.
  12. I agree with you, over drafting a QB is common but not always smart. Because we draft a guy at 3, it does not make him more valuable but just a bigger risk.
  13. We are always hopeful but these types dont usually workout.
  14. Watson seems to have some tangibles that make him a winner, but I still do not think he is the third best player in the draft. I think watching one great game should not boost his status to must draft. His size, he is prone to interceptions. He struggles with some of the route tree throws. I am not sold on him. If we draft him, I will get on board, but not without trepidation. I know we have to draft a QB but value is key to drafting that high. If we draft him and he becomes a good starter type, it will work out, but I do not see him as a franchise QB as the top 5 or 6 in the league are. Buyer beware.
  15. Look at GBN draft report and see there ratings , i find them to be realistic to my thoughts so far on the draft.( a former NFL scout)
  16. I have seen Bolles in the first round im several mocks. I think if we got him in the second that would be a plus. Although Robinson and the Wis LT would be preferable, they wont make it out of the first round. One LT , I think may have huge upside would be Dion Dawkns from Temple. The more I read about him the more I think he end up being a starter either drafted in the 2nd or more likely the 3rd.
  17. I think if Allen is there , he will be hard to pass up. He is prime time player. Even if Bullard turns out to be good, his high side is not close to Allen.
  18. Because they suck, why wouldnt Cleveland take Garrett at one and then a QB at 12? Because they are at such a low in the franchise history, grabbing a QB would boast some hope to the fans.
  19. I would love one of them two in the first I dont think watson will be there in the second Kelly in the third would be more realistic I would love to get a OT high, but doubt if Roberson or the Wisconsin LT would be there in the second. Have to get a FS with play making ability. Its a must.
  20. If we go by your theory, Watson wont be there because everyone is trading up to get a QB. Also we give the 6th pic away, and our 2 4ths away to get a high second? that doesnt seem very smart of a deal.
  21. They would taje BPA then naybe trade but no rb
  22. They have hyde and no qb, why would they do that
  23. So are you saying we should draft a RB?, I dont think that is a glaring need for us. Before I would do that I would reach for a LT than none are rated top 10 this year but would fix a glaring need.
  24. I agree, there is no FA options, but if they think one of this years QBs are capable of being a Franchise QB then take him, but dont draft a high risk player at 3 because people expect you to do that. Take him if you want him , draft the BPA if you dont think there worth it.
