  1. I believe he has a plan for OG , QB , S , and OLB. With one being an expensive get, the others will be reasonable and may not come in the first round of FAgency. I think he grabs a OG with his higher payday. Glasgow or a Austin Bryth. In a 8 mil range. I think he wants to fix the oline with a vet instead of relying on a rookie to start. If they think Bars is capable, my projections won't work .( I hope Bars ends up being good). At QB it will probably be Case Keenum or a Nate Sudfeld unless he can get a trade happening. OLB will be a Jason Pierre-Paul type or maybe try to get a Barrett type that explodes on a prove it deal. Jeremiah Attaochu or a Jordan Jenkins come to mind. S has some players worth looking at. Andrew Phillips, Jeff Heath and Vonn Bell are names to remember. He will bring in players at other positions but won't be spending any money on them. I think in the draft he could grab a plum WR or 2 OTs with the first 2 picks. Those 2 positions are rated the deepest and best value in the first 2 rounds of the draft. Could be a OLB if someone drops they like. He is going to have one surprise move, just don't know at what position.
  2. Because of this performance, it pretty well tells me, he'll be gone before 43, maybe not?
  3. A lot of things are being thrown out there right now, possible trade for Dalton comes up today. I think there is many players we would trade for or get as free agents is it were team friendly for the Bears. EXAMPLE , if Cincinnati would take a 7th rounder and eat 10 mil of his contract, I think we would make that trade. It's not going to happen. EXAMPLE, if Hooper would sign for a 3 year contract for 24 mil , we would pursue him but it's not going to happen. Pace will make I surprise move but it has to fit our cap, all of these other suggestions are more fantasy GM.

    Trade Cohen?

NY , so when Fuller had that bad year and we didn't pick up his option, you would have cut him or traded him for a 7th round pick? The first year we got AR12 and he didn't reach a 1000 season considering we were paying him like a #1, you wanted to trade him? The point I'm trying to make is every time someone doesn't have a good year , we can't go into a rebuilding situation. With the 12-4 season giving us such hope and then 8-8 kicking us in the nutz, we have to try to take a step forward with the talent we have. If we do everything you want to do, we would be going the wrong way.

    Trade Cohen?

I can honestly say if your trying to get rid of players, you don't get value back. If you get rid of these players that is putting us in a rebuild mode. First of all we lack high draft picks to replace and you always over pay to get players in free agency.
  6. Been hearing everywhere about Hooper coming but we are not in a position to outbid anybody. Even if we would make an offer, it's not going to be enough to grab him.

    Trade Cohen?

Offensively, I don't see us getting rid of cheap weapons when we have a cap crunch . You want to bring in competition so be it. Last year he didn't play as well but that is more from poor offense, poor OL and bad MT. Plus he's not going to bring back more than maybe a 6th if your lucky. We are going to add speed not get rid of it.
  8. I think in adding a WR he's looking for a T. Hill clone. It's not just straight line speed but quickness and explosiveness. Peoples-Jones fills that roll better and also has some size. i Would be happy with any of them choices.
  9. Pace does many surprising things but I doubt he spends 10 to11mil on a TE . I think the Harris signing suggests he's not going on a spending spree at TE. He's hoping Burton contributes and line up a lot of bodies to sort it out.
  10. Last year we were 8th in defense without Hicks, Smith missing some games, no Trevathan. 2 new starters on D and one of the league's worst offenses. We will have at least 3 new starters this year at S, CB and ILB. We need to keep as much of this together as much as possible.
  11. I think 7 to 8 mil is his value . We need more pass rush from someone and it is supposed to be Floyd. I am all for getting rid of him but get me a replacement first. We don't have a high enough pick to guarantee a rookie starts. I don't think we have enough cap space to grab the best pass rushers in free agency. I don't think their going to let him go without a replacement in place. We will see what they can do. I'm for keeping him and add some situational players but at 8 mil.
  12. Two things stood out to me when they spoke at the combine. Pace didn't make a total commitment to MT ( put off fifth year option until May)and spoke on the effort of improving the OL and TE spots besides potentially fixing the QB problem. Tells me he will add both draft picks and vets to get that done at TE and OL. Also that he has a plan at QB that if it materialized, he would move on from MT. Nagy said that he needed to adopt the offensive scheme to his personal. So had he did that last year, we may have had 2 or 3 more victories.
  13. I like the difference of opinions and the trash talking. Been on here a long time and some of the trash talking has been uncivil by me and by others. Friendliness is always a better way to disagree. Chugging a beer and taping it will be no problem. If Leno starts at LT this year day 1 , I win. ( no injuries). If he's replaced, I'll gladly chug a 6 pack, just don't think that will happen.
  14. The key to everything they do will be based on the health of Burton . If they know that will be positive, then they will only add a mid level draft pick. If not, they will bring in another vet and use one of the first 2 picks on a TE. I think the roster will include Hotz, Horsted, Burton and Harris with Raymond and a new draft pick on the practice squad.
  15. Dont we already have him on the roster in Jesper Horsted ? 6-3 238. I think we already seen he has some potential. If they draft a TE, I suspect it will someone that can block and catch. Horsted Braunnecker Burton Holtz Shaheen ( probably gone) Shaubert Sowell ( gone) Clark ( former basketball player) Raymond Harris We have a ton of projects, I don't see another one.
  16. Since I won't have to chug one , ill let New York worry about beer etiquette. If I have to , a 68 year old that hasn't practiced being an alcoholic for 25 years, it won't be pretty.
  17. We have to chug a beer , video it and post here? The only presser is not because of injury.
  18. Unfortunately Leno will be day one starter that's not a fallacy.
  19. I think we bring in competition at CB but not a clear starter. ILB will be a cheaper Trevathan, a 6 mil a year contract with Kwit or KLP. RG will be a cheaper RG in FAency or a draft pick. The wildcard is if Bars can play and takes over at RG. We have to bring in a SS, fournitely there are a lot in FA and probably can get one to do a HaHa deal like we got last year. TE will be added in the draft. So the draft will come down probably only having to fill one spot as a starter and add a speedy WR or a OT prospect.
  20. I think we would all agree we need to replace him but the circumstances of 4 long term money contracts on the OL prohibits that. Take in consideration we have no backup in place to take over for him. A better option in FAgency will cost to much. The chances of us drafting a LT starter on day 2 is slim. There is a better chance he plays better in 2020 than what we could replace him with. If he can reduce his penalties and play like 2018 , he would be acceptable.
  21. The beginning of the post gave his contract and I agree he would be the best TE on the team. Unfortunately we can't look at this with blinders on. First he cost 7 mil, secondly he is older now , 35 in March, and has been injured for the last 2 years. https://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/greg-olsen/2385 This is a link to a website that lists injury history on players and rates the prediction of future performance. He has a 51.1% chance of a injury in 2020.
  22. The whole point was you wanted him here, after your argument gets turned upside down then you always walk back. It's okay we all do that sometimes. DANG IT
  23. As much as Carr is a better QB right now there is 3 things preventing that from happening. Cost- with a lack of draft capital what do we have to offer? Cost- he is making 21 million this year, we are against the cap. Also is Carr the ideal fit for Nagys offense? I would say Bridgewater is a better QB right now but he is not a good fit for Nagys offense either. Pace is not going to give up on MT this year, his career is based on this pick, he's going to let this play out.
