So how is that? Because he didnt resign Briggs and Tillman? Briggs had a good career here but the fact is he was a douche bag. When we needed him to be a leader last year, he is off opening up restaurants, bailing on the coaching staff and teammates. Peanut was a stand up guy, great teammate and player, but injuries have robbed his career. I hope he can stay healthy and play well, but at his age that is a big risk. This new regime looks at a bad team and decides what to do about it. Hanging on to likable Bears is a bad business decision. I would love to had Tillman stay and play FS and continue his career but his age , didnt want to play saftey and the injury bug has made him a big risk. I wish him well. Over the years there is many Bears I loved, Payton,Butkus, and of recent history Urlacher and Peanut but the fact is players drop off the map quickly and have no problem letting them go and trying to find the new face to love. It doesnt mean I didnt like them, just realize the most important thing is to have a successful team to rout for now, I ll talk about my memories when I have beers with friends, but my current Bear team needs to be winners. Lets accept a few facts , other than a few bright spots, our team has pretty much sucker for 20 years. Im all in having having new players to root for and want team success and if it means letting go of losing football team memories, and players not able to contribute, Im good. I have a hard time understanding, how some of you guys that keep living in the past when the past wasnt very good.

Here is a depth chart by Dan Durkin with the roster as of today. Looking at this our area of needs is apparent. We need a couple more WRs, RT wouldnt hurt, another S, several DL Bears Durkin: 2015 Bears Unofficial Depth Chart April 7, 2015 3:12 PM Share on email4 View Comments Chicago Bears huddle. Read More By Dan Durkin– Note: This is an unofficial depth chart for the Bears, based on the players they currently have under contract. It’s current as of April 7. (CBS) The Bears’ three-phase, nine-week voluntary workout programs start next Monday. Head coach John Fox and general manager Ryan Pace won’t get to see the players “on the grass” (an early Fox-ism) until Tuesday, April 28. With 65 players under contract, this is my best attempt at assembling a depth chart ahead of voluntary workouts. With Chicago shifting to a 3-4 base defense, predicting where some “tweener” players who are lower on the depth chart will end up along the defensive front was a challenge. Those details will be revealed in the coming weeks. Players like Lamarr Houston (ACL), Willie Young (Achilles) and Tim Jennings (knee) are recovering from surgeries, and their availability for offseason workouts has yet to be announced. Thus, these projections below are where players should eventually land on the team’s depth chart. He is somebody that would have been a good prospect for the Bears but because of his press, he has probably move up to the late second or third and that is rich of a pick that should be a 4th or 5th round

You got me on that, I opened my fat mouth without checking the facts. I still dont think he plays well if a LB.
-
If you look at the size of LBs from 30 years ago, they were generally not as big, only you Grizz would make such a comparison.
-
I agree with you, sad that he couldnt stay healthy. What's the odds he stays healthy this Year? Love the guy but everything comes to a end. His was 2 years ago.
-
How many starting LBs in the league are 228 lbs? I dont think to many, will look it up to see. Totally agree, with your opinion.

Thought - If Mariota goes to Titans, trade for Mettenberger?
Stinger226 replied to dawhizz's topic in Bearstalk
IF we going to build thru the draft, no way were trading any draft picks. -
The Eagles select Collins/S/Ala and on the clock is Mongo

Bleacher Report: Bears looking to move up for Mariotta
Stinger226 replied to DABEARSDABOMB's topic in Bearstalk
We would be trading an NFL starting QB and a 7th for the chance to pick Mariota? No way in hell do they do that. Even if Pace doesnt like Cutler, our high pick this year needs to be a start day one stud not a maybe in 3 or 4 years be a star. -
Everything you have heard has come from the media, so how do you distinguish what is real and not real?
-
It doesnt mean anything, the top five youngest teams only have the Packers that are successful.

Bleacher Report: Bears looking to move up for Mariotta

As quiet as they have been with all there signing do you really think any information is going to leak out if they actually want Mariota? -
New Orleans selects Bud Dupree/OLB from Kent.
-
Other the the two QBs(who I dont believe will ever be difference makers) pass rush and and outstanding WR are the two most impactful positions that will be available with valve at that pick. So our pick will be from Cooper or White/WRS or Beasley or Fowler/OLB I dont think Williams will drop so those are our choices. If we drop back a few picks some other choices fall into the picture.
