Bears identified their biggest need and grabbed McPhee, now we know they wanted team friendly contracts, no going wild on the FA front. Still in play for Pot (pork chop)Roast, he wants 8, not sure we offered close to that but was more than the 5 Raiders offered. Rolle,Parker, Royal all have been offered contracts, so who knows which way they go , but plenty of players still out there, just not going nuts with money.(no problem with that)

The reason, the perception is they dont succeed when leaving Ravens is they get paid big money. They are projecting a player on the rise that fits our scheme. There is risk in that like all FA signing usually are. Optimistic it will turn out well.

We have so many needs, what ever player is at 7 would be welcome. ON a good team Jeffery is a #2 and hopefully we become that. We have to see how FA shakes out to see which way we go in the first round. I would like to move down and grab some extra picks. With a high pick you take the best player. Would be wise to the the 3rd best OLB after just spending 40 mil for one? or the top WR? (julio Jones type)
-
With the 7th pick that would be the #1 WR not Jeffery. If all our needs are filled in FA for the most part, they will take the BPA. WR,OT,QB, another pass rusher?
-
Fox talked about having a balanced attack, having a stud WR would make anytime better.
-
I heard on a twitter feed from Josina Anderson. Raiders offered only 5 mil per year and our offer was higher without listing an amount. He wants 8 mil per year.
-
So were going to bank our 3rd WR spot on his last years performance? He is not going to get everything given to him, for sure will look for more help.
-
Wilson still has to prove himself, they will bring in a draft pick besides if we sign Royal
-
So far we have McPhee Royal and Rolle in town, so good chance we are in play. Knighton ruled out Raiders and Denver for low balling. We made the highest offer but still looking for more money. Colts has been on a spending spree and just signed Langford so there are probably out of it. Wash still the wildcard, but they gave Paea 5 mil per year, may not want to spend that much on another DT Helu is gone but Moreno and Thomas could be good additions with ties to our current leaders. Parker has been made an offer but is still looking for more money. Green is gone but we have shown interest in Houser/ARI , so they are still looking for a 2nd legit TE for 2 TE sets. ILB still has all the players, Foster,Lofton, Irving CBs Culliver and Cox still in play They had the one big signing and now are bargaining for spots to fill.
-
so does that mean we will be signing them?
-
There starting over, there in cap hell and no way out, so sell off and start over. Brees is next, maybe he plays here for a couple of years, only if we can trade Cutler.
-
Heard we made the highest offer, but still not what Pot Roast expected, but still may be here.
-
There is no way that is happening, if NO is rebuilding why take on a 16 mil cap hit, since they have cap problems already.
-
It would be nice if we get him , you like fat guys.
-
There is others out there, we will be ok. That is who I wanted.
-
If they bring in a couple of older guys to lend some leadership, thats not a bad thing. I suspect they draft a safety to develop.
-
There is other fat guys out there, but to be honest, Ratliff and Ferguson are probably going to be our NTs.
-
Young , Bass, Washington are all going to be OLB, possible Houston

Anytime you have needs, tons of names thrown out there by everybody. with McPhee and rookie pool, 14 mil already off the pool 9 that puts us at 18 mil, unless Mcphees contract is structured creatively . I will predict who and why(of course I will be wrong, nature of the beast) Safety- we know the draft is light so we definitely grab one in FA-Searcy/Balt ( young and upside) ILB - we have some players but nobody is a sure thing, we grab one here--Foster/TB (young and upside) CB- this may not be today, all the stupid big contracts will fly today-----Cox/SF DL- this may not be today we have very little in bodies at this position-Adrian Clayborn/TB( hurt last year but had a good 2013 year) Would love pot roast but thinks the money is to high WR-with Marshall gone will be adding a WR in FA-Cecil Shorts/Jac( if healthy can be a decent #2) RB- will definitely draft one but think they add Moreno on a prove it contract(wildcard-Pierre Thomas) not a lot of milage for age Think we fill spots in FA so we can draft BPA Think Cutler stays one more year If we need more money-Forte could be hitting the road
-
Not sure we have LBers with great potential, we have already added one LB, will be adding a ILB and probably draft one. Not sure that resonates potential in the current players.
-
I dont think any of the new regime came in here with the thought of tanking for a year, but after looking at tape, may have realized this is more than a makeover and needs serious rebuilding.
-
Pierre Thomas was cut by NO. as a running back by committee, he could have valve. PFF has him rated as 4th best back available. He has only 818 carries in 7 years ,327 rec. still has some game.
-
Daniel Ellerbe was released and played under Fangio while in Balt.

Its not a hate thing, its such a blowed up contract, it just isnt worth that money. He is a 15-20 ranked QB that likes turnovers. Some are better, many are worst than him. He is a QB that is not a leader on a team. Your QB needs to be a leader,so if we are starting a new remaking of the team and in 2 or 3 years when we get good, he wont be our QB. So why not start now, rid our self of his contract and develop a QB we grab next year or the year after.
