  1. With Pace being so tight lipped, Im not sure you can trust anything you read. A lot of rumors are media injecting their opinion into the rumor.
  2. With all the bad personal decisions over the years, being negative about any transaction, would cause you to be right most of the time. We dont know how this turns out, but one thing I do know is they seem to be viewing the team as I do and acting accordingly. (being not very good) HOPE THEY GET IT RIGHT
  3. Wow, the obscene contracts come out at this time, then 3 years later there cutting him because the money doesnt match the production
  4. I agree, would not mind him here.
  5. I hope so, dont care which one.
  6. I could be totally wrong but think Long is moving to one of the tackle spots and could bring in a good OG at a reasonable price.
  7. Nicks is a possession type player but the other 3 are all good names
  8. Many of the big names will be resigned with their old teams(home is there-friends) history tells us that Many will be priced out of our price range Pace is so secretive, we have no idea what his plan is, Marshall was the first move, bold with giving up on a pro bowl type WR Our needs are everything and I think we address every need so we can take BPA in the draft S McCourty is the gem, may be out of our price range at 10 mil a year Moore is probably considered next and at a mid level price will have many suitors Searcy is a good name and could be a possible target (bargain) Ron Parker/KC last year he played well after starting because of injury -young-94 Ts-12 PBUs-1 Int- has a lot of upside and probably a 2 mil a year player Q Cuter will be back next year- his contract prohibits a trade and we have no better options- Classen is back and will address a prospect in draft WR Cobb is gone, bummer but dont think we will be buying a upper level talent here Hartline is probably the type we will look at but left town without a contract so probably looking for more money-still a chance Royal has been mentioned will come with some speed and a slot WR- not expensive- under 30 ( bargain) Demarius Moore- speed guy- has upside- 741 yards-7 tds two years ago RB Depends on Forte staying here( I think he is traded or cut) Karey has yet to step up and believe we will be drafting one Ingram(my guy) is gone Murray and Forset are out of price range Moreno is interesting but has an injury history (bargain) Helu(didnt think of this before scs brought his name up) ( hate to give him credit, actually has good thoughts) that would be a good signing TE Bennett is a beast so will only be looking for a backup Green is the logical name but Broncos want him back so odds are against us (bargain) Ed Dickson- was drafted by Fox and never lived up to expectations-could still become a good player OL Iupati is the gem probably be to expensive for our need Franklin would be awesome and has history with Fox Boling is a very good player and would be a welcome addition (bargain) Baylock because of age(31) wont be commanding a large contract, could be a Slausson type of signing DE Hardy has to many issues to bring in and I dont think he is a good fit Orlick could be the guy as a mid level price Langford would be a interesting player that has upside (bargain) Sheard- good player with upside NT Suh 20 mil a year is to rich Knighton would be awesome but will command big paycheck Wilford would be interesting but age is a concern Dan Williams still is young and a good player (bargain) Alex Carrington- an interesting prospect with upside OLB Houston is tagged Orakpo probably gets a big contract Worilds has upside but wasnt even a starter in Pitt McPhee would be a great signing Reed has some upside at a midlevel price (bargain) Skuta played for Fangio and is a descent player ILB Harris is already gone McClain probably get a big contract Hawk would be interesting but older with numbered years left (bargain) Irving is young has history with Fox and has upside CB Flowers will get a good deal Maxwell will probably resign with Hawks Culliver is getting a lot of attention and still could be here Skine is a good player and is getting a lot of attention House would be a good name and weaken GB (bargain) Cox I think he is the one, cheap price history with Fangio I would be completely happy if we got all the bargain players in FA
  9. GB is going for it now, will worry about their cap next year.
  10. I think he gets a chance like everybody with new coaches, but they will absolutely bring in some speed and competition at the position with Marshall gone.
  11. thats an interesting name, had some success. Do you think , with us running more this year, we may be having a significant signing in the OL? To strengthen the line that had issues last year?
  12. Ray has kind of taking a backseat to the other 3 after the combine, but he may be the one that shines the most.
  13. I think he wanted to stay there, if you had Rodgers, wouldnt you?
  14. He has talent, but is he a DE in a 3-4? Think to much trouble follows him. I read where he still might have a suspension coming after being off a year.
  15. Everything I have read, he has got exactly what he was suppose to get. 9 to 10 mil,has always been his projection. Didnt think GB has the money, but it is what it is.
  16. In most cases a lot of players resign with original team unless some one throws big money at them. There home is there, they have friendships established, some people are creatures of habit.
  17. Even thou Jennings is short, he is suited for press corner. Peanut should only play FS, not sure he will be back with a youth movement, would rather have Cox or Culliver.
  18. I think they will run the ball more but will be more of a balanced attack. Of the 4 you named, which one fails? which turns out to be average? and which two are studs? History tells us this will happen, I think Beasley is the one that fails, Gregory is average and the two studs are Ray and Fowler. What say you.
  19. They seem like they know what there doing, but if there plan doesnt work, we can chase them out of town too. Im hoping for the best.
  20. We have money to spend, and we need to add to our core with youth , draft is our future, but remaking the roster thru FA is also part of the plan. As long as we keep getting younger and spend money wisely, Im all in on the new regime. In FA we have to spend so much of our cap, so to think the draft is our only option thats not realistic , Im excited to see what Pace does.
  21. I couldnt help but dream a little, , we make one significant signing, I guess its who we think makes the most sense. Your draft order makes sense.(thought you liked Harold? you were the first to mention him)
  22. Re making the roster has started and what we know as of this day, my new plan: QB- one more year for Cutler and not a lot of choices. Claussen , nothing to get excited about, maybe a drafted QB in our future? Grayson/CSU-4th round-maybe can become something one day. WR-BM gone-Jeffery, a very good #2-Would want to get Cobb and then add Cooper/ with the first round(124 catches-2014) now we have something. RB- Will make the call of Forte being traded for a 4th round pick-bring in Mark Ingram and draft Duke Johnson as a CJ Spiller type of option in the 3rd. TE- We have a beast in Bennett- bring in Virgil Green for a #2. OL- Plan the future now and move Long to LT-Bushrod to RT and bring in Clint Boling as a mid priced FA to play RG-draft a center in the 6th round-BJ Finney DE- Houston coming off injury is the best fit to be a 3-4 DE-NT is filled with Ratliff and Ferguson-bring in a mid level signing Orlick/Miami-draft Harry Anderson/Stanford NT -see DE summary OLB- lots of options on the roster but are they any good? Bring in Skuta, a cheap addition to Fangio defense-draft Harold/Virg in the-2nd round- Young fills the other spot when heath returns. I think David Bass takes a step forward. ILB- Hope Jones and Bostic take a step forward-bring in Nate Irving an inexpensive option to add to the mix S-Bring in Searcy and Moore as mid level contracts to upgrade with Mundy and Vereen as the backups CB- Fuller takes a step forward and Jennings mans the slot corner spot- bring in Perish Cox to be the other corner. free agents:Ingram-Cobb-Green-Boling-Green on offense free agents: Orlick-Skuta-Irving-Searcy-Moore-Cox-Skuta on defense draft: #1 Cooper/WR #1 type WR #2 Harold/OLB could be a good one #3 Johnson/RB speed and quickness #4a Anderson/DE-DT versatile big man #4b Grayson/QB maybe some day a NFL QB #5 Ellis McCarthy /NT from UCLA fat guy NT #6 B J Finney center of the future #7 Robert Myers/OG Tenn ST
  23. It really is hard to say what mix would work the best for long term success. Im all in for bringing in better players and let the coaches make them a competitive team again.
