I think there rating us so low because we didnt draft a S in the first round.

I think we definitely get better with our offense. This will be a stud O for the next few years. The second year always shows the most growth in a new system. Our Oline will be better and so goes the offense. We now have in place some depth at positions other than TE and being they didnt draft one that must mean Onobun is ready to take a step.

Charles will get more points that Forte, so just take Charles and go from there.

The point was we knew the S prospects up close and personal and choose Fuller instead. If Emery thought he is a better player than the two Ss that is what he has to go with.

You guys to try to get along like me and SCS. Its not all that hard, I just ignore him. (just kidding)

Your wrong about the Bears , the punter will start next year also. I also think Fuller will be the #2 CB and they will play Jennings as the slot corner. That will work out quite well.

I was listening to the radio today and they were talking about taking Fuller over the two safeties. The interesting part was we have two coaches that was on Louisville and Ala coaching staffs last year. I would say that gave us a front seat on those prospects. We took Fuller because he was a better player and all of that will play itself out.

If Carey has talent, I would like to see him get 30% of the carries. It takes less wear off of Forte and lets his career last longer. Historically when RBs hit that wall they get bad quick. The less work Forte does preserves his life for an extra year or two.

Im not a McDick fan either. Its nice when we get cudos from (so called) experts but all of it will show up in training camp and I think Emery will look smart by this time next year.

We addressed our line here and in FA , I think we will be much better for it. Trestman must have liked Fales a lot or I dont think drafing a QB was on Emerys radar. I think we almost did as good with UDFA as what we did in the draft. Jones and Lynch willl make the final roster and Groy will make the practice squad. I think we got two really good DTs in the second and third round. They replace Ratliff and Paea in the future years. Rotational guys as of now. Fuller is going to be a star. Leno makes the roster . Carey is damn good and will be a tandem with someone else once Forte is done. Vereen ends up being the starter game 5 and keeps the job. We have a new punter that is bitchin Fales rests on the practice squad. All the draftees make the team this year and a few UDFAs.

Drafts, I believe take 3 years to play themselfs out. This year we will be grading his first draft. If SCM plays well at SLB then we will look at his first differently. Grabbing Jeffery and trading for Marshall almost negates the bad players he drafted.

We think a like, I posted some of this information on its own thread. I think Donald is the only guy he would have took over Fuller, I bet you he had him rated higher than Gilbert. I think the reason he drafted Fuller over both Ss is he thought they will be better players, he wasnt concerned of needs as which good GMs get the BPA guys and build a team around them .

All that stuffs gone now, I doubt if there is anything still standing from the days you were around.

Our Lads is run by former scouts and I look often at there opinions. 1. They had Fuller rated as the 5th best prospect 2. They had Ego as the 4th best DT 3. They had Sutton rated as the 5th best DT 4a They had Carey as there top rated RB 4b I could not find his name in the ratings. 6 Fales as the 13th rated QB 6 Donnerly as the top rated punter 7 Leno as the 12th best T UDA Jones as 4th best ILB UDA Lattimer as the 7th best ILB UDA Groy as 13th best G Im not saying they are smarter than anybody else but they have at least been in the War Room before.

I have a tendency to like opinions of scouts or former scouts. Our Lads-Draft countdown-GBND-and I like Matt Miller. So I put a little more trust in their opinions. AND there not right most of the time.

Two things he can do is have him being the holder for our kickers. Gives us another thing to prepare for when a guy can run and throw out of a nothing spot.

I have heard a couple different people ,I respect, say he was the best CB in the draft.If its even close to that we did right.

I hope someone with a big contract that has talent gets cut, we need one more FS.

Your right, if we took Sutton in the second and Ego in the third, I dont think anybody would have complained.

I also wanted S first, I would have loved Pryor in first then the DTs are ok and in the fifth, Desir/CB is still there. I would take him and stick with the RB in the fourth Here is my draft 1-Pryor 2-Furegson I would have probably taken Nix but with so many teams passing on him, there must be health-weight issues. 3-Sutton This is actually a good place to draft him, great upside at value 4-Carey I looked at the RBs that went after him and this is probably the best RB on the board 5-Desir/CB Its hindsight now but he would have been there in here, he needs lots more work than Fuller but he wouldnt need to start his first year 6a-Fales I think Trestman had a lot to say with this pick and that could mean something down the road 6b-Zumwatt I think we could still get the punter in 7th if we wanted him that bad and not let him be a FA-Zumwalt would have been another prospect to look at 7th-Donelly I think he is still here and picking this late, Leno could have been a priority FA. With all this said Fuller is a much better player that Desir but in time he might being close to level, but have a for sure at safety.

We are pretty set now on defense. There will be one more opportunity to add players when teams start dropping players on their roster for draftees. DE-Young,Allen,Houston,Bass,Lane,Robertson,Scott, Idonije,Washington I think we only keep 4 Young-Allen-Houston-Bass Idonije might stick but doubt it, he can play all positions DT-Collins,Ratliff,Furgeson,Sutton,Paea I think all 5 of these make squad LB-Briggs,SCM,Bostic,Greene,Jones,Williams,Franklin,Senn,Wilson I think Jones makes it to final roster along with Briggs,SCM,Bostic,Greene,Senn S- Mundy,Conte,Jennings,Steltz,Vereen,Mcray Were still thin at S and could add another player after other team makes cuts-for now I think Steltz is odd man out CB-Tillman,Jennings,Hayden,Frey,Wilson,Martin,Hurst, Fuller,McManis ,Cathouse Because of STs I think 7 make it Tillman-Jennings-Hayden-Fuller-Frey-Hurst-McManis This is a better roster than last year, but I still think S is a weakness on this team. I think Mundy and Conte start but Vereen works his way in to lineup in week 5. Our DLine will be 13 sacks better from last year with Allen getting 11 and Houston with 8. Sutton surprises and gets 7 If Tillman and Briggs stay healthy we are a solid defense this year

See it all turned out ok. I wanted him drafted also.
