I think Flus needs to be gone now but not sure they will do that. Trying to fgiure out what is the best choice going forward.

Didnt Finks die? I thought that was why he left?

What I see with Warren is a business man that got brought in to do the stadium and let him gradually take over the managment of the operation. Right now he is Poles sounding board. They are talking today about what to do. We will find out how much power Warrten has. I think the players have given up on Flus, which means you have to get rid of Waldron and Flus and at least show the players you see what they do but that means they have some accountablity here to. Hoke as head coach Brown to OC Williams to DC. This is not getting us a winning season but at least the regime has noticed. Next yr Poles gets a HC, probably Kingsbury because Caleb knows him and would be the easiest transition. Drafts a LT with the first pick and move Brandon Jones to swing tackle. Draft a OC in 2nd round and have Shelton be the transition player. Move Kiran A. to LG , let Jenkins leave (injury concerns) Bates at RG and draft his replacement to give us good depth. Wright at RT with Jones the swing T.

I agree what needs to be done, but how do we fix everything at week 10. Tell me what to do that helps us win now? Fiire them and then when the new guys fail, fire them? We cant fix this until after the season but a disgruntled fanbase will be happy for one week.

The results are the same, but its not the same, its new people. Warren and Poles run the team now. If burning the ship every 2-3 yrs is what you want, we will never have a winner. Poles made a bad decision staying with Flus. You have to discount yr 1 because Poles did burn the house down. Say yr 2 is the start. They went 5-3 in the last 8 games and acquired the 1st pick in the draft. At that point Poles decided to keep Flus because things were pointing up. It has not tuned out well but hindsight is always a mute point. I think we have to give Poles one more yr, hiring a new person for GM, we will go threw the same thing again to rebuild. He will see now that was a mistake and change it. Next year will be D day for Poles not this yr. I suggest if you think we should burn everything down, find a new team, because the owners will give Poles one more yr for better or worse. Poles said it would take 4-5 yrs to make a winner, not 2 and 1/2.

What is best for the developement of CW, the only thing that really matters ? Waldron gone for sure, firing Flus only pleases the fanbase, but does it help CW? If Flus is gone, who is next that helps CW?
-
I dont disagree but the only push against that narrative is the new people running things, mainly Poles. He has did many good things but will all be underminded by retaining Flus. We get to see how the yr plays out. He clearly did not address the OL well enough to work. We have added talent and have a (maybe) franchise QB, the most important acquisition (maybe) in our history? The rebuild is 2 and 1/2 yrs old, he is not finished yet. He stated it will take 4-5 yrs to do a complete rebuild. We have never seen that before in our history. This is what it looks like. He addressed the OL but it isnt working. He will get one more yr to finish building the roster. Flus wont be here, does it help CW to get rid of him now? You cant do anything about the OL in season. The fanbase will like it but will it matter? Fire Waldron , make Tom Brown OC, Flus give DC play calling to Williams and be the HC only. I think that iis the best scenario we may have. We dont have a person in the coaching staff that can turn this around.

Week 10 Official Game Thread - NE @ CHI, SUN 11/10, 12PM, CHI -6.5, O/U 39.5

So what happens tomorrow ? I think Waldron gets canned and Flus gives up DC play calling to become full time HC. Everyone needs to be fired but that probably isnt going to happen now. Hard to believe that a 4-2 (played bad) lost to a good team on the road to a Hail Mary play and it wreaked our season. -

I dont think he drafted the wrong QB, but lots of things blowing up on this offense. Bad injuried OL, bad play calling. I hope on the no huddle offense he is not letting Caleb call those plays. If true, Flus needs to be fired when the game is over. The kid aint ready yet and this situation isnt developing him. -

Witth Booker and Kramer playing the left side(bad), quick pass or roll outs to the right. Run the ball, do not stick CW in the pocket. Is it too early to talk draft? -

Really, are we going to throw the ball 50 times against the worse team in the league? Run the ball , short passing game, roll outs? If we lose this game, you fire Waldron, Flus, and bench CW until our OL gets healthy. -

Let m rephrase that, the QB position between Waldron trying to please CW to much and CW still in the rookie stage of his game. This is all going to get better but needs to happen today. -

Im like you ,I like and want CW to be our all pro but we cant close our eyes when he plays and pretend he doesnt make mistakes. I must have watched 20 podcaste and football shows and many people bought that up. I dismissed it but the first series showed that. Another big problem is they said, that I believe true, that Waldron is calling games that give CW to much leaway to do what he wants. Its quite simple, run the ball, keep it simple for CW and dont let him play Caleb ball.(not my term) kyle Long They do it for Daniels and he is florishing -

Clearly the main problem is CW. Had time to throw, holds the ball to long. Swift was check down and open. -

Lots of people saying things that are guessing. I THINK, no matter what happens, it will be after the season. I also dont think we are going to go on a 11 game losing streak. We are a better team than last yr. After 9 games, we were 2-7, after tomorrow we will be 5-4. We have a rookie QB that has had a few good games and lots of bad games. We wouldnt be blaming playing play calling if players were exectuing. This all looks bad, but I believe the Hail Mary play created a huge over reaction to everything. We are still on track to hit 9 wins which most people predicted. We still have good players on this roster. Barring lots of injuries, we can still win 9, with CW playing better maybe 10.

Allen does play out of the slot most of the time. If you go 2 TEs, one of them come off the field. DJ is playing on the outside but CW is not getting him the ball cleanly. Hard to blame DJ on this when CW has a 43% or 49% (cant find the post)miss rate throwing to him. With all the blame being thrown around, CW is the worst QB in the league over the last 2 games. Dont understand why people avoid critizing him, he deserves it. -

Its just someones opinion, doesnt mean their right. They were not good but at least showed up in the 3 game winning streak. Now injuries has made them terrible. Looks Borom/LT (bad but healthy now), guess its better than a PS call up. Jake Curhan as backup? Jenkins/LG cross your fingers he stays healthy. Kramer is the backup? Shelton/C the very average player is now the foundation of our line. Kramer Bates/RG I think he comes back now, has been practicing. Kramer or Davis as backup? Pryor/RT I think he moves here and Curhan as backup. The best think we can do is run the ball, easier for the line to adapt to NE doesnt have a lot of talent there. You can have 2 TE scheme and help chip the ends. Simplify it for Caleb, he is 8th in the league on holding the ball time, quick throws, roll him out, give him two reads or run. He clearly will be in trouble trying to make 4 reads with a lousy line. Play action if the running game is working. The only deep threat he has a connection with is Odunze, so put DJ at the Slot. His big game last yr was wihen played the slot.
