Melton keeps leaving teams with out a contract, I think it strongly suggests he might be back. I think that would be a good thing.

Could never figure out why they keep Weems around, must have been due to guarantees in his contract.Will be glad to see him go. I liked Bennett but the fact is they were paying to much for his role on this team. It was a stupid contract when Jerry gave it to him.

Good way to put it, we are just signing bodies and it will sort itself out by training camp.

When the Seahawks started there rebuilding process they brought tons of players in and keep turning them over till they started to get the roster they wanted. I think we are kinda doing , just bringing in players and sorting it out. I think if we sign Izzy it is just a fall back position if some players dont pan out and we cant upgrade in the draft. Many wont be on the opening day roster, but at least we have more options going forward.

I just dont think he fit in in Detroit, he is a better player than he showed last year. I think he has some gas left. If we miss on Melton, or think the lawsuit is to big of a stumbling block, I would like to see him back.

I think were waiting on Melton to see what happens. Were not done, I doubt we have significant names to sign, but Emery has suprised us before. We can cut Weems and Bennett and pick up some money. The biggest thing to come is the draft not the rest of FAgency.

A team will not care if someone is sueing a player, long as there isnt an arrest applied to the charges, the lawsuit doesnt mean anything. He AINT getting a contract because he wants more money.Its not brain surgery.

Why does it matter if an incident all of a sudden has a lawsuit involved, it doesnt change what actions created the situation that occurred and that was in December.Teams already have the details checked out with that.

Oh I think he will help big time, but not sure he deserves "the pass rush guru" label.

Im thinking that he is not getting the money offers he wants, the bar incident and his medical issue information has been out there for awhile.

I am just assuming we try to get him on a more long term deal, that would be able to allow less of a cap hit this year.

They will only dip in the Cutler contract at last resort. If they take any money out of there, it turns his contract into a 5 year deal once it happens. They structured it to allow to have no money owed after 3 years. I think the only way they do that is if they think they are one player away from a SB run and then they go for it. Like Denver is doing this year. This is not the year they will do that.

His only 2 good games of the year will be against us.

What we have left to do; I think were waiting on Melton to see what he does, if he comes back we will only be filling roster depth. We are letting players fall to our price. Peanut found out his market was limited and came back.(loyalty to Bear) I think we still grab another S as market drys up for big contracts. Clemens, Lewis, IIhegigbo, and DeCoud I think if we dont get Melton, our other choices will be: Sims,Carrington,Peria at DT I think the possiblity exists we still get another DE,choices would be:Allen,Ayers,Carriker. If we dont get Allen or Ayers, I think we resign Wootten. I think we still resign Bowman and get a CB in the draft Brian De La Puente is still out there, and I think the possiblity exists he could come here. I think we still kick the tires on a backup QB and names to look at:Fritzpatrick,Kolb,Weeden I think if we can upgrade backup TE we do it, names:Owen Daniels,Dustin Keller,Ed Dickson, Tony Scheffler. I think we grab another RB for depth, names to look at:Blount, Starks,MJD,Moreno,Stephyens-Howling,Scott conclusion: I think we are waiting on Melton and if we sign him, all we have left to do is add a few min. Vet deals If we dont sign him, I think we have one more suprise left, a MJD, Jared Allen, Cris Clemens. Bowman, Wootten have possiblity to come back after the dust settles.

If Seattle does what they did last year with Arvil and Bennett they will offer a medium contract. Something like 1 year 5 or 2 year 11. I think our offer is for longer years, something like 3 year 17 mil. If he doesnt sign before monday with them or Dallas I see him coming back here.

Now we have Melton left to snag back, if he leaves Dallas without a contract, he will be back here.

He can do more than one thing and I think that is paramount. We are signing guys with flexibility. I think it ends up being a big surprise for us on the football field.
