I think someone will outbid us for him, something like a 3 year 21mil deal is about all we will go.. Red Bryant got a 4 year 17 mil. His injury cost him.
-
Besides Bennett names we have contacted are the above mentioned Mitchell and Mundy, also I have seen DT Mitchell formally of Houston.
-
I like all of your names, Bromley is going to surprise somebody. I read an article about explosive players and they used some of their combine stats to put the formula together and his name was mentioned. Always have been on the Martin wagon and like Bailey.
-
Actually Bullough is an interesting player, good athlete and played at a high level until he screwed up personally.
-
Most writers are figuring what we will spend and then throw names out there that fit in that price range. Fact is almost anybody is an upgrade over what we had. Look back at the quiet signing of Jenning his first year.A descent player. Now he has visited the pro bowl and got a decent payday, that is the type we will find out there.
-
I dont think anybody said he sucked, just doesnt have the same valve being he is limited to doing one thing.
-
The Young name is only my prediction that they wont go top dollar with a player, but I hope Im wrong, I advocated Bennett since his brother brought it up.
-
What the site does is rates players and team needs and software does the draft, so probably not realistic but something to play with.
-
Fanspeak has a (do your own draft) This is how the lastest turned out for me and I basically going with BPA 1-Greg Roberson/OT/Aub---------he was there so I had to take him-Bushrod to RT? Mills goes inside? 2-Stephen Truitt/DE/ND-best DL on board at tie-athletic with upside 3-Cris Borland/MLB/Wis- still there and could start day 1 4-Anthony Johnson/DT/LSU- not top rated but highly respected, will play first year 5-Antone Exum/S-CB/VT- could play either position a good valve here 6a-De Thomas/Ore-adds to a already good O 6b-M. Huff/S-CB/Wyo-can play either position- good stats and good speed Now its your turn to show what you got http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/

Would love to have him here, and I think he would play for less to stay with us, but the 3 -4 mil range he will be in wont be in our budget.
-
I like the name but think Sporles carries more money than we will be willings to spend. McCluster can carry the ball, be a slot WR and return kicks, I would see him making our O so much better.
-
I will predict our FAgency moves so everybody can ignore my hits and condemn my misses Our own: Wootten D. J. Williams N. Collins Bowman Tillman-I think he ends up back and we lose Melton Britton Palmer Others: W. Young?DE-I think they add someone young with upside and dont win out on big names bidding wars C.Clemons/S- A solid younger player J.Arenas/CB-just a backup but can be a KR Dexter McCluster/RB-a speed backup to Forte-SWR- and KR Probably wont be right on any of these picks but this is not who I want but think the Bears will add due to cap restraits. Not its your turn to put your name on it

Wow we agree on something, no class.
-
I agree, find someone that can make other contributions.
-
Lets not forget Briggs was a whiny little bitch with his contract. The supposed defense leader, came back from his injury out of shape. Couldnt find him on the field. I would have no problem if we got rid of him. The Hester, Urlacher, I loved them guys, but time is always moving forward and I never liked Briggs. A good player, but I guarantee he will be whining about a new contract before the season is over.
-
there not dipping into his contract for a measly 2 mil, I guarantee that . We will soon find out, your all in, I think the Bears are out with that contract.
-
The good and bad,of Phil is he doesnt say anything and surprises us, the good it is very interesting.
-
The problem is teams like Jack and Oakland has tons of cap space and can smack a big number on him, if one team does we have lost our edge. $$$ comes first, I wish is wasnt true.
-
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/03/06/dur...-agency-primer/ This had a lot of valid points in the article, I think he is right on with FAgency, we will be going after valve and quantity .
-
I dont know where to put this, but was reading where Peanut is not released by the doctors yet and for new teams will come into play with how much money he gets. That could keep the price down and put us back in play.
-
I get all that, I was just using the sack as a point of combined views of players, I dont think it is the only measuring stick. It is just most great DEs we look back on were big is sacks. All the other stuff matters, but Hughes is at the top of that stat, an is a backup, just no big deal. M. Willams is why he has elevated stats.
-
That of him moving to safety, was just one writer making the comment , and everybody and there son giving it life.
-
I think if any of those players on are on board, we could have a couple of teams running up the ante to gain that slot. That would be great, but wouldnt want to drop more that 10 spots. I think one of Ealy,Donald,or Hageman could still be there at that spot. I am starting to think Hageman could be a target, with his athleticism. Someone Phil could get behind.
-
I think we will bring in our own guys over 30 that we are more familiar with , but Phil wants to get younger I got a feeling most FAs are going to be under 30.
-
I agree, the QBs are out, Barr and Mack are closer to our slot, we can justify a better fit in our defense but I think everybody else is in play.
