Here is part of a comparison of two names linked to the Bears. Overall Potential Ogletree: The potential is there for Ogletree to not only be one of the best ILBs in the NFL, but overall one of the best LBs in the league. He is one of the most physically gifted athletes I have studied in quite some time. He can fly around the line of scrimmage in pursuit of ball carriers; you can use his speed and quickness to rush the passer either from the middle or outside. In coverage, Ogletree patrols the middle of the field like a ball-hawking FS, showing the ability to make a play on the football. You can match him up with a big, athletic TE and feel comfortable that he can neutralize him throughout the game. Ogletree should be able to contribute immediately in his first year at either WLB or SLB before taking over at MLB. Brown: Brown has all the tools to be a solid pro for a very long time. While he’s probably the safest LB prospect in this Draft, there’s a good chance he might max out his potential in a couple more years. Outside of ideal size, Brown has all the tools to be one of the better LBs in the NFL, however. He has ability to play any of the three LB spots in a 4-3, but his best position might be at weak-side LB. He compares favorably to current Bears’ star LB Lance Briggs—both players are undersized, but their speed, athleticism and instincts overshadow that particular flaw. Ideal fit for the Bears: Alec Ogletree Where the league is at today, with offenses putting a heavy emphasis on pass-catching TEs and slot receivers, having a LB with the ability to cover both would be certainly a luxury for any defense. While Brown is the complete player of the two, Ogletree’s ceiling is higher. If Ogletree is indeed the pick for the Bears at No. 20, G.M. Phil Emery has set the defense up to where it won’t be dependent on a rookie to man the middle. The team added D.J. Williams this off-season, who has plenty of experience at all three LB spots in the 4-3, so if Ogletree is not ready to play at MLB, he could play SLB his first season. The Bears are in desperate need of young cornerstones on defense, and if Ogletree is past his off-the-field issues and fully takes in the coaching, he could be one of those guys for the Bears.

Very well could have been, I heard it was a gay lovers quarrel.
-
I totally agree, I think they could think of moving up to get him.
-
I have noticed information on Pough before and he definitely fits a sleeper mode. I dont know anything about Roby though.
-
These are not players you will see drafted in the upper part of the draft. As I read more and more about prospects, this is my view on sleepers. Akem Spence/DT from Illinois- he is athletic, 72 tackles as a senior. a mid round pick that will eventually start in the league. Terry Hawthorne/CB from Illinois- good size, good speed 4.44, 60 tackles, 8 PBUs, 3 int.. I think another Illini prospect that will contribute and could start in a year or two. Gerald Hodges/LB from Penn state-The team leader played really well with 109 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, seven passes broken up, one forced fumble and two interceptions in 2012. Decent size and speed. Kyle Juszcyk, FB, Harvard -247lbs-converted TE that can block and caught 52 passes for 8 TDs. FB is a position we need to address this off season. Brian Winters/OG from Kent State- is a mid round pick, but I think he can start his first year. Anyone wishing to add to this list GO FOR IT
-
I think SF would not give up both of there 2nd round picks, because they wouldnt have to with so many picks.
-
I am still all in at improving the OLine once and for all, so I would take the OGs first, but Austin definitly be an instant success here with all our other weapons. Ogletree and Richardson will be all pros one day. So it is a tough choiced all of them are there at 20
-
Here is a list I seen of what they consider as a impact list for the 20th pick. He noted that he didnt list the OGs higher because of the position . Name School Position Tavon Austin West Virginia WR Cordarrelle Patterson Tennessee WR Alec Ogletree Georgia LB Sheldon Richardson Missouri DT Tyler Eifert Notre Dame TE Arthur Brown Kansas State LB Jonathan Cooper North Carolina OG Datone Jones UCLA DL Desmond Trufant Washington CB Sylvester Williams North Carolina DT Chance Warmack Alabama OG

that is the first time, I have seen it mentioned anywhere.
-
He is not, I have only seen one mock where he is drafted in the first round. He will be drafted somewhere between 35 to 50 I suspect.
-
Its just another element to add to an arsenal. You send the speed deep to open u
-
At 4.5 doesnt seem to be the speed WR we are looking for.
-
I havent checked out the WR and maybe would like another, but you are right on about being time to fix the OL. I think our two LBs we got in FAgency could be around for at least a few years. I also think they will be drafting a QB prospect.
-
I looked for info and couldnt find any, what are your sources. I think some of those tackle prospects come end up being guards.
-
In two years our top 3 CBs will be gone, so we definitively need to start building with the youth now.

Conclusion: We seem to have a big interest in upper draft LBers. Mid round WRs, Mid round CBers, and mid round OTs. I think these positions will be our first 4 picks.
-
I read somewhere, that we had a private workout with Ogletree.
-
Funny guy, I predict he will get a sack this year and you will notice him.
-
I didnt hear anything about McC last year when we made him our first pick.
-
Actually Slausson played LG but has the ability to play both. I still see us drafting a RG prospect in the first three picks. We cant be done rebuilding our OLine. I actually see us grabbing a center and moving Garza back to RG where he started out.
-
So how come your the only person I hear saying he was good? And you said(wasnt bad at RG) is the same as saying he was good at it. I looked up the word (turrable) and couldnt find that in the dictionary. Could you tell me what that word means?
-
There just checking out all of our options. If we were going to pick everybody somebody said we were interested in, we would need 20 draft picks.
-
You keep using arguments on players where they go from terrible to being bad, is a good thing . Our OLine was still one of the worst in the league according to the GREAT PFF. THE only lineman that played descent isn't here anymore.
-
I think with the value of QBs these days several teams need a QB, and there value isnt there early in the draft but could move up to get ahead of there competition to grab a QB later in the first. Cele, Buff, Jacksonville, and Oakland all have a stake in getting a upgrade at QB. I also think Arizona could grab one even with Palmer there. With the 20th pick there is a chance a player with a greater value could slide and someone with extra picks, Miami, SF, or Balt could want them bad enough to move up.
-
that all sounds good.
