That would be a great move, read that the reason they are not resigning DLP is because he doesnt read defenses well, and the center has to do that. Read about some health issues with SW, must be something if he isnt signed yet.
-
You bring up someone that was signed by someone else, exactly why are you wasting your breath on someone we cant sign. you make no sense sometimes.
-
To be honest, dont think he even makes the team. If cut his contract goes to 1.8 mil. dead money. but if he cant play, why keep he around.
-
Yep from the top 10 to top 20? maybe a little later in the first round.
-
He is just an average player, he was ranked 40th best CB last year. which means is a starter in the NFL. He may be ok, or under Fangio become better. Not sure we should look at one year signings as game changers. Just a player who will be the 3rd CB on team depending on the draft.
-
Here is the best article I have seen that shows us the valve of our players in the 3-4 under Fangio. http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2015/3/26...c-fangio-scheme

Here is someone take on the first pick of the draft. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2408763...-chicagos-board Makes sense to me.
-
I think with the new coaches, he cuts down on his turnovers, his biggest flaw. He will have some good games, some bad games and be ranked 15th in the league. We will look at him as a decent QB getting paid to much. He will only be gone when we find his replacement. One more year or maybe two.
-
We need our first round pick to contribute, being a backup QB for a year doesnt make sense. If he is there, someone will trade us for that spot. That will be his valve to us.
-
They still may be one added in FA. I think someone like Thomas or Moreno could be a help.
-
There are a lot of idiots out there. Was reading a story about the Bears on NFL Spinzone and the writer remarked that McPhee will fit better in the 3-4 than when he played for Tucker in the 4-3. The idiot doesnt even know he played for Ravens last year. Some of these experts actually suck. Some much smarter people on here than on some of those websites.
-
why would they meet with someone to mislead someone? they may not like them after the meeting.
-
Lets say the #7 pick is going to be an all pro player. So who, with realistic expectations, has the biggest impact on the team? First if I know that is true, and Mariotti is there, you have to be happy with an all pro QB. but wont be there I would have to say, Beasley or Fowler were there, a all pro pass rusher would next have the biggest impact. If we had a Julio Jones type player? then white or cooper makes sense.
-
I think once he gets on a NFL weight program, it just gets better.
-
I think Cooper will be the better of the two WRs at the top. They both will be great so I guess it doesnt matter that much. I would take either. No Armstead, no Hundley. I think they are better choices.

Here is a mock draft from NFL mocks website http://nflmocks.com/2015/03/25/chicago-bea...nd-predictions/ I could live with all of them except dont care for McCarthy.
-
It might fall that way but when Houston and Young come back plus a few more additions, this could all be different. Ego was playing the NT position in the 4-3 , so I think he stays inside.
-
Armstead bothers me because he wasnt productive in college. who was the stud we had that could jump out of the pool? but he couldnt play football.

I would say Jenkins will line up there with McDonald until someone steps up or comes in not on the team now.
-
I agree some of this doesn't make sense, but this is what I see what happened. McDonald contacted Fangio and Donatello. I think that after reviewing the 2014 tape and going to the 3-4, they went to Pace with the suggestion of bringing him in. When Pace checked it out and and getting backing from those coaches he went to George and McDonald came in to talk to the family. They all reviewed it and the whole mess does have some inconsistencies. They all decided it was worth the risk. Pace made the call. I have been single for 25 years and have been in that situation many times. I always treat women with respect accepted no when it was given, that could have happen to me many times. a little story: This hottie 22 years younger than me moved next door. I noticed she wasnt mowing her lawn and met her and let her use my lawnmower. I became friends. She didnt drive(figured the DUI thing) so I offered to give her rides when I was around. She was casually friendly with me but nothing personal by any means. I figured out she had a drinking problem right away. So after about 3 months , she comes over drunk one night and ends up taking her clothes over stating she knows I want to fu.k her, well truth be told I did, but didnt want to take advantage of a drunk woman, so I passed. Did it again the next week, and started to figure out , she may be wanting to get laid, so I started having a sexual relationship with her for the next year and a half. She had a millionaire boyfriend and stayed with him half the time and at her house the rest of the time. She had many issues and drinking was just one of them, but boy she was awesome in bed. She ended up falling in love with me, but I just cant go there with an alcoholic. She ended up moving to Florida with her boyfriend, but was an awesome gorgeous lover.. With her being drunk all the time, I could have easily been put in that position many times, but I guess I was lucky.

This is how I see it but is subject to change after training camp starts. Houston-(Ratliff-Fergy in a rotation)-McDonald. as far as backups Sutton may be worked in somewhere, but he may not fit. Jenkins is a just a backup with some rotation spots. They will be bringing in at least one more if not two. (Young-Jones-Bass in a rotation) Bostic-Foster-McPhee. Allen will be in some rush packages, SCM will not make the team, Jones will see some time inside as a backup. Washington or Bass will backup MePhee. I think we will draft one or two DL players and scs may get his wish and get Shelton. Probably a ILB and dont see us drafting another one with so many bodies at the OLB spot. I think once healthy Young can play outside. I think Bass could take a step forward and see more playing time. When Vic goes to the 2-5-4 Houston will drop off and they could bring in Allen on some plays. MePhee gets put in many spots on the field.

Its not true, it would have been all over twitter if it actually happened. You CAN NOT believe everything you read. To verify things, you will see many outlets stating it.

I agree with the piss poor, but lunging at needs spent alot of money that was a mistake.I was very happy with last off season but as you see that is not the way to do. I thought this year would be different, one somewhat major signing and several mid level signings and the rest low vet type players. That is how they did it and I agree with that logic. Most teams over pay for talent in FA, we have some of those already this year but the time of Jared Allen sigining are done. I agreed with that then and a year later it looks bad. I trust in what they are doing now, and we will judge these moves next year and see how it all turned out.
-
We can like or dislike the move, but they made it so, does that mean your not a Bear fan anymore? Every team in the league has thugs on the team. I would have not necessarily made the move, but my name is not on it, Pace stands by it. We will see how all of this turns out. If you liked BM, he had nine such charges. I think this move shows the regime thinks we are closer to playoff bound than I thought they were. That added Rolle for some leadership at age 32 and now this for a soon the be 31 year old . They simply lack 3-4 type players on the line, and this is a somewhat of a desperation move to fill needs. There mainly will be building through the draft, of which will take 2 to 3 years and this is a move to help now.

the top 51 contracts count against the cap, so many of them wont count.
