I think he will be going higher than most predict. He will never make it out of the 2nd round.
-
One year with Lovie in his year isnt much of a resume to hang your hat on. I think I will wait until a few years have passed and see what we got. I would like him to succeed so why not support him. I am a Bears fan, so why not act like one. Last years draft is still a question mark but honestly it takes 3 years to judge a draft. I like what he has did so far,and we will see how that translates on the field. I get everything you have talked about but you have failed to accept my view point that he is to injury prone, to old, and to expensive to make worth having. The sad part of everything is I will not win the bet because he will probably never play another down in the NFL and you wont we able to see he is not good enough anymore and will miss games because of a broke body.

Emery has a back up plan and we will see it in a couple of days.
-
This thread is about resigning a FA, I wasnt necessarily addressing your post.
-
If you look atbig boards, DT-DE-CB, fall in that spot a lot. I see the possibility exists if Austin is there we might take him.
-
I'm not sure is a Trestman type Qb. It will probably be McCown.
-
We still have Idonije and Louis to sign and then I think were be done with FA. Oh I forget also a backup Qb.
-
We wont know how all of his moves work out for a year or two, but I like the fact he has a plan and I hope it works out.
-
I guess the best way to look at it is he isnt here anymore, and good luck to him because he doesnt seem to be in high demand. Its probably a conspiracy but I will leave that up to Jason to figure that out.
-
I didnt confuse anything, your statement wasnt pointed to (all star type players), but lets face it fringe players are looking for jobs and will take what they get, but the only big contracts we signed would have had any effect because Urlacher was being showed the door. Over all players go where the money is and where they might be able to win a ring. All those other little points mean very little. It matters to you, but last time I checked you dont play in the NFL.
-
20 is a little high, but most new mocks have him going in the first. A trade down but be ideal.
-
no way that happens this year.
-
Were paying these 6 about the same money that Urlacher wanted to play this year with his first offer to the Bears. They brought Scott back as the swing tackle, but as we know he might end up the starter. We up graded the TE position, and I think the LBer play will be better than last year if they both can stay on the field. They both had productive years with there respective teams.

I am just trying to be a smart ass when I stated (why anybody would want to sign here), since some people on here made that type of statement.
-
Like one GM stated(it is better to let a player go one year early than one year to late.)
-
Your right there are a lot of reasons that figure into a reason to not resign a player, but the most obvious is they dont think he can play at a level well enough to pay him the money he wanted. The new regime doesnt have the emotional ties to a player that we had, and want to upgrade the position. So they choose not to have him here anymore. The fact is hes not here and time to move on.
-
I dont see anybody giving Louis a big contract, he wont be ready to play until training camp and bet he cant pass a physical, which limits his desire for other teams.I think we offer him a one year deal to prove himself and try to gain a solid contract. The first round pick is quite open for anything but a QB,RB,TE. I like what we have going on here with Emery. ( the only thing I dont understand is why anybody would want to sign here after the way the team treated Urlacher)

99% of LBs are a dime a dozen? The board could make better choices than the regime running the Bears? Your a smart guy but you sure do come up with some stupid statements.
-
The possiblity exists that the BPA could be a DT/DE by the way the board falls, it will be interesting.
-
The point is this is not the reason they didnt resign him. They based there decisions on what they thought he could do on the football field. If they thought he could play they would have offered more money made it important. You keep throwing reasons out there for why they didnt bring him back. Just accept the fact, he may never play in the NFL again and maybe its because of his age, performance, injury history.(not good enough) It is quite simple.
-
He has a plan, and he just doesnt let the info out. Williams was on the ready line when 54 didnt take the offer. What this does is give us the ability to pick BPA with our draft.
-
Unless one of the OGs are there at 20, I see us trading down for sure.
-
I just took the original statement for what it was, your the one that keeps trying to make it out to be something more than it was. (they asking people until they get 12 opinions with what they want to hear) I clearing understand what your saying it just lacks commonsense sometimes.

I think Brown ends up being a OLB, so I think Minter becomes the best of the MLBs in the draft.
-
We have two starters, so both of them are looked at as depth and not a every week player. Hardin is a wild card and with our cap space we cant expect to sign great backups at this point. Spencer is not on our team, he is a UFA.
