If we are picking 15 we have a chance to get Nix,HaHa, or Hagemen.As of now I think we need a team leader so we grab the Safety and grab a DT in the second round.

I think we need to sign Bennett/DE and TJ Ward for free agency and then we still need to draft a S,DT and MLB. Jason was on track with his draft proposal.

I would think Ward would be cheaper than Byrd, we will probably have to go that route.

Wow , I thought you were the only nice guy on here, cool. Its not so much the team as there fans SUCK. For what ever reason I think we win today. I think the fact we got embarrassed last week, everybody has been focused this week. The key to the game will as usually be TOs. I think a rusty Rodgers will throw a couple, and we hold there running attack to under 130 yards today. Cant believe I think a 130 yards is a good day for a defense, but for ours its being granted sainthood.I think the score will be 27-16 and we winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Always an optimist.

I would love a stud S, we need a need team leader on D and that would do it. Also I like the idea of a tackle machine at MLB, I think Skov would be that and then move Bostic to his natural position Briggs holds now.

The defense has had posts all over the site, so I would like to know exactly what you would do? There are a lot of smart people on here, this will be my opinion.(do me a favor and dont spend 200 mil )(Anybody can list a bunch of good players, but need to fit in our cap) First of all I dont care for Tucker, but think he will get one more year to prove himself when he gets total control of the defense.(didnt have it this year) Players still here: Briggs,Conte,Peppers,Paea,Bostic, Greene,Frey,Washington,McCellen----------I think Peppers,and SCM are gone Players we resign: I think we bring back Jennings, Bowman,Anderson,Collins, Radliff ,Bass We pick up in FAgency: Bennet is signed to replace Peppers, also a CB and S (have yet to go over FAs) Draft: 1st round: Truitt/ND/DE-DT I think he will be slotted around our pick and can play either position depending on how our line fallls into place. 2nd round: Verrit/TCU/CB He will fit into our defense 3rd round: Swanson/Ark/OC We need to upgrade the OL every year 4th round: Ward/NIU/ S Can become a playmaker 5th round: Fales/SJS/QB A project for Trestman to work with 6th round: Shelton/Wash/DT Adds some beef to our rotation 6th round: Byndom/T/CB Had some size and speed, had a better 2012 season AS FAR AS THE DRAFT GOES SLOTS WILL CHANGE AS FAR AS THE PLAYERS LISTED(WHAT I WENT WITH AT THIS TIME) Conclusion: We cant rebuild the defense in one year. I think Collins played well until he was hurt, will be a cheap addition. Wooten is an average player, would you rather play Shea? I think maybe we bring in Bennett at DE, a draftedl DE ad DT in the new rotation. The facts are we wont have the money to bring in 10 new defensive players of quality, some cheaper alternatives will still be here. It will take 2 to 3 years to rebuild the defense.

In your defense, you post a lot of intelligent conversation and then the jerkface comes out in you every once in a while. I dont have a lot of time on my hands, I have a busy life. I spend the same amount of time on FF as you do on here. When Fantasy is in play, I am not on here as much.. I have been lucky enough to be on the plus side of money in FF for the last ten years. The first 5 years I played was a learning experience.A lot of it is luck, as you have shown(look at you record and point total), some of it is being smarter, and prefer to win some money at it, you would rather brag about winning a non money league. Everybody is different. They are going to hit the wall with the cap space with so many spots to fill, they will keep him only if they cant replace him. Playing well in 4 or 5 games a year doesnt cut it at his salary. I think the possiblity exists that we draft a DE with our first round pick(Peppers gone) The defense needs a complete rebuild and younger players like Collins and Wooten will be resigned. Melton will cost too much. They will have Collins, Paea,new guy and Wooten as a defensive front,with a DT draft pick also in the rotation. maybe a DT free agent also.

I think at his age, they will always look at it that way, but he wont be returning as a starter, just a backup, and I dont think he turns down the money.

His record doesnt exactly give him a great resume. I think Tucker gets another year to prove what the defense can do if he puts his input into it. He took over a defense that he had to accept, not build himself. He was required to accept a scheme, old players, and then was hit with injuries. They go to him and say you didnt do a good job and he states, this is your defense, let me do my own thing. I think his fate is tied to Emery's and Trestmans, and he gets another year before he becomes the scapegoat .

He is negotiating for a larger contract. Teacher pay is only around 40,000 a year, I think he will play for a couple more years at 1.5 a year.

He is one hard hit away from a gurney. He may start but I dont think he finishes the game. I hope the hit he takes , takes him out into the next season, he is screwing with our juju.

I think if Lovie was around it wouldnt look this god awful but still wouldnt be very good. Age and injuries have took there toll no matter who would have been coaching them.

I think they will give Tucker one more year with more of his imput into the design of the defense and then see how it plays out. It cant be worst that this year, my ass puckers everytime the other team gets the ball.

You had the best team but as you can see, the best team doenst always win. Im im one league where we just play 17 games and the best record wins. I think that is the fairest way to do it, other wise some chump team gets lucky and wins it all. Of course the playoff method as got me into playoffs and I have been one of the chump teams to have won before.

I played in 6 leagues, 5 was for money, this one wasnt. As a competitive person, I always want to win, but sure as hell wouldnt be making posts bragging about it. I wont be in it next year,I will bid my time in leagues that I can win money. I got in this league because I like this website and there were short a player. I was also in the other Bearstalk league for money and the winner didnt jump on a post bragging about winning, he just counted his winnings.

I suspect Pryor wont be all that good, but we will see. I do like McCareron.

I totally agree with you. We dont want to fall back into QB hell, banking a draft pick being a star and Josh substaining his play are very risky.

I think the poor tackling is a product of the new bargaining agreement .(less practice) and also bad players. I think he has some responsibility in this, but what i think the Bears will due is give him another year to do what he wants to do with a new defense. If this defense was fully healthy all year, I still think it wouldnt have been very good, but not this bad. We have a combination of players getting old and people hurt and it destroyed this defense.
