  1. What ever it takes to get us enough money to help us be a better team. 1-MLB,1 speedy WR, one or two TEs, 2 OLs.
  2. The point of your thread was about Webb Bushrod only came up as another choice. Since we dont have lots of money we may have to settle for Webb, but going from worst to bad , doesnt make him better. If he takes a step forward I am all for it, but my point is we have to have another choice, we cant keep letting Cutler get killed while we wait for the incumbents to take another step forward to the 24th best OLine in the league. Give me a couple more bodies on the OLine and let the best players win, it is as simple as that. I personally dont think Webb we be anything better than a backup, I wish I was wrong.
  3. I would not pay him 7mil, 5 would do, but that would be it. I am talking about upgrading the position and my first choice would be Beatty at a higher price, Bushrod has a connection with Kroner and if thats all we get, I would take him. Albert would be my second choice and none of those 3 are going to be paid 7 mil. There are all better than Webb, freak PFF, if you cant see it with your eyes you need to start watching Soccer.
  4. I know your trying to make a case for Webb but the fact is, is every GM in the league would take Bushrod over Webb and that is a fact you cant change.
  5. Bushrod has a All pro mark on his resume, dont even try to compare with Webb. If we cant buy a LT, then Webb may be back there, but not because of his play.
  6. Your probably right, but dont like the lack of upgrade at the position.

    Cap Analysis

I agree, if the paycheck gets too expensive, we can get someone decent for a couple of mil. An example would be Gleen Dorsey/DT from KC. He has been bad in a 3-4 but was a high draft pick and would fit the inside rush taclke spot positively.
  8. I think Escobar with be better than that, but time will tell. The 6th round pick will be playing FB not TE. A position we need in our new offense.
  9. All good things must come to an end, a steady performer over the years but 1.1 million for a player that all he does is LS? He may be the best in the league, but we could use the money for someone to contribute more.

    Cap Analysis

He is the key to all that we do this offseason.
  11. After reading Brad Briggs, he lives Bears football he states our cap to be 10.9 We cut spaeth,Davis, Hester, Mannley and that gives us 8.2 mill to add to the pie. Adam suggested some of the bottom of the roster guys can give us another 2 mil. (since we replace those players with the ones we sign) Lets say we reconstruct a few contracts to give us another 2.7 mil. So our total comes to 21.8 mil. drop the 5 million for the rookie pool. We resign Melton-6 mil applies to 2013. We resign Roach- 2.5 mil applies to 2013 We resign Louis- 2.0 mil. for the 2013 season we resign DJ Moore - 1 mil for the season We sign UFAs Will Beatty/LT 4.5 mill for the first season We sign UFA Brad Jones/LB for 2 mill his first year(played well in 2012) We sign UFA Chase Daniel/QB for 1 mil has ties to Kroner in NO #1 Cooper/OG the best OL available in the draft at 20 #2 Escobar/TE moving up in the draft #4 Ace Sanders/WR he also is a KR with speed #5 Braxton Cave/OC has long snapper experience #6 Kyle Juszcyk/FB played TE in college, good hands, Senior Bowl played FB and looked good So we added 2 TEs to replace our cuts We added a speedy WR that can return kicks We added a LT, LG backup center that takes over our LS duties, bring back Louis to play RG. Webb and Carmi fight over RT spot and Brown is a backup. A MLB and bring back Roach We add a FB that will come part of our new offensive scheme. We add a #2 QB to backup Cutler.

    Cap Analysis

The problem is we may cut some of bottom of the roster players but have to replace them with somebody. Until they do the contracts, we dont have the back loaded contract money. We need to be realistic, I wish we had more money but we dont. If I got it right we carry (with the practice squad) 53 players. The cap is listed with the top 51 contracts. We have 61 players signed at this time according to Rotoworld. We might keep a 440 th guy instead of 700 th, but we cant count on that until that happens. When I first put a offseason together I spent to much money, if we want to play fantasy football, then we can pretend, but I prefer to be realistic and then add the more money as we get it and adjust the projection accordingly.
  13. Your mock doesnt make sense because you spent to much money in FAgency. We have 10.9mil until we cut some players , deal with it.
  14. there not going to do that, they needs lots of help and wont give up so many picks. maybe a 2 4 and a 6 this year would be a lot.

    Cap Analysis

Actually if we drop those three we only lose 6.4mil in cap space. We create dead cap money on what yearly bonuses they may have left.So as o f now before we restructure any contracts, we have we have 17.3 and then take out around 5 mil in rookie money that leaves us 12.3 to spend. If we keep Melton as say 6 mil(low side) that leaves us 6.3 to spend. NOT MUCH LEFT TO DO MUCH.
  16. If we cut Hester, we will keep Weems because he can do returns. We will need to add a WR just because of the numbers we have there, but 5th or 6th will work.
  17. Its just another mans opinion, our powers that be will sort out what they see. I think Cooper will be there in the first and if Jones is still there in the second grab him, we will get a LB and TE with the next two picks.

    Manti Te'o

Urlacher was special Te'o at best will be a good LB. I still think that if a J. Copper/OG or Teo is there, we still need to fill our need at OL first. On a lot of different ranking(who is just someones opinion.) I have seen both rated top 20 players.

    Manti Te'o

As much as I think he is a lowlife, as you have said I would rout for him if he became a Bear. I think if he is the highest rated player on the board at the time we probably have to take him.
  20. I agree, it will a combination of what the talent dictates.
  21. Blanchard, Matt QB 6-3 225 23 R Wisconsin - Whitewater 74 Dennis, Derek OL 6-3 315 24 R Temple 88 Eldridge, Brody TE 6-5 265 25 3 Oklahoma 31 Frey, Isaiah CB 6-0 190 22 R Nevada 82 Golden, Brittan WR 6-0 185 24 R West Texas A&M 85 Miller, Gabe TE 6-3 257 25 2 Oregon State 83 Moss, Dale WR 6-3 213 24 R South Dakota St. 46 Nelson, Tom S 5-11 200 26 3 Illinois State 84 Onobun, Fendi TE 6-6 260 26 3 Houston 95 Ozougwu, Cheta DE 6-2 255 24 1 Rice 44 Quarles, Cyhl S 6-3 212 23 R Wake Forest 68 Riley, Chris G 6-5 305 25 1 Illinois State 81 Toliver, Terrence WR 6-5 204 24 1 LSU 59 Trahan, Patrick LB 6-2 236 26 1 Mississippi 94 Whiteside, Aston DE 6-2 255 23 R Abilene Christian 96 Wilson, Lawrence LB 6-1 229 25 1 Connecticut These are players on our reserve/futures squad. So who on this list makes the roster, and the depth chart? I think Blanchard could turn out to be our 3rd QB on the roster. The only other ones I see as a chance of making the roster are Isaiah Frey/CB Tom Nelson/S Dale Moss/WR players I checked out that may be cheap roster additions.
  22. I have been looking up your players and have to say most are good choices but Boyce is a 4.55 speedster. Not sure that applies.
  23. I like the players you listed, but think Warford might still be there at 42, of which I would rather have.
  24. I have read where AZ is interested in Mike Glennon but to high to pick at #7. They will be looking to move up in the first round, as they dont think he will be there on there pick. They have picks 38,69,and a 6th that is equal valve on the trade chart.
