  1. Barkley is going to be the best QB from this group, but dont take that he will be a star, just a starter somewhere in year 2 or 3.

Your right on with every comment you just made.

There is a lot of football information out there, and I think all teams gather there own information and determine who they pick by THEIR views. The Bears board, is probably a lot different than all of us think it to be. The only think we can look at was last years draft, and I was pretty well surprised at all the picks and where they were picked. The jury is still out for at least another year if not two. So all of our are comments are just for fun, until they turn into criticisms or praises.
  4. They didnt think Webb was good enough to play LT, you did. They choose Bushrod, you didnt like him. They resigned Hayden I think I remember you said he was terrible. I am sure I could find more if I looked for it. It really doesnt matter much. We all have opinions and they vary a lot, and you are entitled to yours. We all make good comments and some that doesnt matter. Its what makes this website interesting.
  5. I looked at a list from last year and didnt see him on it, but that person may have missed it. I think Emery is good at not letting everybody know what he wants and thats a good thing.

I like all your names, but prefer a 2nd round OG and there are many that could start instead of Fluker.I think Carmi, Webb and Scott can cover that position good enough. Olgetree will have to be taken with our first pick, will never last. I also would like to trade down and think that will happen. I have read that Fluker doesnt really fit what Kromer has for his proto type RT but he is good enough he could play there.I do agree the OL still has work to be done.

Jason is a OL guy, and I agree with a lot of his prespective on that but I either wouldnt want Fluker in the first. He is far rated better than Carmi ever was, so I dont agree with that. Ogletree will not be there in the second, that just wont happen. He is a mid first to mid second round period. Will never make 50.
  8. Every player can have a highlight film made for them, and I am not saying he will be bad, just some better choices. I have read everything I could about him and he comes as a high risk, high reward type, its his production that bothers me. 37-2.5TFL and one sack, just doesnt translate to a star to me. I think he could be a decent rotational player, if we draft him high, he needs to be a difference maker type. I think Paea's career will translate better. Example, Sheldon Richardson(that could fall to us) Totals last year included 75 tackles/10.5 tackles and 5 sacks. Example S. Williams 42-13.5-6. Example Kewaan Short 43-15.5-7 Example Akeem Spence 72-7-1. You above everybody else on here is a stats guy, we both know that is not the only measuring stick but I consider the production high on the list. I just think there are better choices. I know you are going to say those are 3 T tackles, but they can play both spots, like Paea.
  9. Where are you getting your information on Banks, everything I read are positives on him. He ran a 4.61 at combine but improved that at proday 4.51. Other than putting on weight, he gets a lot of cudos and I see him becoming a good NFL player, especially in our scheme.
  10. THEM are the Bears, not experts. There are tons of info out there and you can find many views to support what ever position you have. IF we took a TE high, I would not object to the move, but it wasnt your idea, many have voiced that opinion before. I see them going with a vertical stretcher at WR, istead of the two TE mismatch that you support. It is just our opinions of what we think would work best. I admire your stubbornness for your opinions ,even after the Bears keep disagreeing with you. (Webb love as an example) Hopefully the Bears draft people that you like so you can save face on your suggestions. You do have good ones once in a while.
  11. The NT position in our defense is a different type than the NT position that most are listed at. Quick, smaller, gap shooters compared to large people eaters in most mocks. As far as Webb goes , it isnt the WEBB HATE as much as it is the WEBB LOVE that you have. Other than you and his mother , the football community just doesnt view him as the player you do. We and the Bears saw a poor LT and he was moved, for some reason the Bears just dont agree with your overview of Webb. I think we all would like to have him succeed and now he gets his last chance at RT, we just have our doubts, not because of Webb hate, just tape. Your going to say ( your beyond that discussion) and then bring him up again in another post. We know how your feel, and I wish you would keep bringing it up.
  12. Actually your only picking for team 787, not the Bears. You and them dont seem to be on the same wave length. They continually do moves you dont approve of, but I admire you stubbornness to stick with you views.
  13. The possibility exists we could draft a QB somewhere in the draft. Emery is good at not letting people know what he is going to do, so no matter who they look at, he will end up surprising us.

If there is any indication by our private workouts, LB is a dominate position we brought in. Prospects were anywhere from 1st round types to 4th. Somewhere in our first 3 picks will be a LBer.
  15. Draft Insider has him rated 10th at OG.
  16. If he is a 4th round type, I find it hard to believe he is rated the worst.
  17. I seen an article that we brought him in town at the last minute. He is Vinston Painter a OT out of VT. We like him at OG. He is very athletic, and with the new scheme on the OL the athletic guard fits it better. James Brown, Garza, not so much Slauson and Carmi. He is said to be around a 4th rounder and not many teams worked him out. He needs to learn more, good upside, and not well known.

He is not perfect but he has the potenial to be good there. He is rated the best cover LB, so in our scheme that would put him at the top of the list.
  19. Your right it will take two years to define the comparison. I guess the point I will make is Spence will be known as a better player between the two. They are both DTs and for example Paea was stated he could play either spot. So the distinction is a mute point if one is a rotation guy and the other is an pro bowl type. That is like distinguishing bewteen a #1 and#2 WR, there still both WRs.
  20. There going to jake with him wherever he goes. The cicus would be a little more extreme that most places, because it is so close to ND. If you take his personal shit away there are a lot of competent people that say he is going to be a good player. I dont see it, but Im not that smart. If we drafted him in the second, I actually wouldnt TT the move.
  21. Predictions for upcoming draft. We will trade down and grab an extra third and 6th.(several trade partners, no need to go into detail.) 2 of our first 3 picks will be defense. We will grab a OLine prospect but not at top of draft. We will draft a WR. I also think we grab a QB prospect in 5 or 6. I have thrown out there the names I like Ogletree, Brown, Minter, Greene, Hodges: Stills, Swope,Boyd,Ausin: Fredirch,Swenke,Jones, Warford,Winters: Banks,Amerson,Ryan,Alford,Hawthorne.
  22. Olgetree will never make in to the second pick, unrealistic draft. Schwenke will never make it to the 4th, like him thou. We need a third round pick from somewhere, the players we like we all be picked in that round.
  23. Its not my first choice but I could grow into liking the TE thing you got going. As far as Evan playing TE, its Lovie? If first years, have you ever seen him make the right decision. As far as your draft I have been reading some negatives on Williams,If is listed by many scouts a high risk/high reward pick. There are safer picks at that spot in the draft to grab. Spence is a much more productive and athletic prospect. If you would like to make a gentlemans bet, I call Williams doesnt excel at the next level? you in?We can bet anything, Im sure of my opinion.
  24. I totally agree, by far the best.

I have to admit, your really good at putting stats together. You should apply at PFF. I would not be upset if any of the front listed was chosen. In the next group, I would go Olgetree,Trufant,Fluker in that order. With the second pick, out of the first group only Hankins and Hopkins with make my mouth dry. The second list I would take any of the linemen or CBs. With the 3rd pick first group, Jones or Logan. The second set I would take Stills,Spence Bostic in that order. The first pick will determine the next and so forth.I would like Olgetree, Warford and Stills.
