We only have a 6th round, but why nOt. Work ethic matters.
-
Woulda, shoulda, coulda
-
I agree that is our best option, but it come down to the draft.
-
I totally agree, the guy is always out there, and has a positive attitude pertaining to the Bears.
-
I dont remember who on here was touting the horn for Randy Moss and wanted them on the Bears BUT 28-434-3TDs Was that worth the 2.5 mil he was paid. And I think they wanted TO too. 0-0-0 ANOTHER BAD IDEA, DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER WHO THAT WAS? Im to lazy to look up the thread.(to busy making up Te'o stories)
-
He is the 3rd rated LT in the draft, and there is a good chance he wont be there, because he is moving up draft boards. I hope we get him, if not our options start to take a hit.
-
The mods should dump this thread, he has more hits and posts than almost every thread on here in the last month. We can talk about draft picks, or the Bear coaches for the one druth time, its apparent no one gives a shit about this subject. If this thread bothers you then quit posting on it, talk about how you got( cracker) in your handle. I sure that will get a couple of looks.

How do we know he will stay healthy? 3 of the last 4 years he has had injuries and he is older now. He now has a knee that will never be healthy. We should give him 4 to 5 mil because his name is Urlacher. 2.5 tops or we can get a healthy FA LB that will play better and have more years going forward. OR we draft one.

I have no problem looking stupid, but I have read everything I can find on this and do think he scamed Teo but I think Teo ran with the situation after that. I think the possibility exits that with Tuiaso coming clean with all this to take away Teo responsibility from the story, that he has a payday coming somewhere along the line. He is a con man, he loves Teo, blah, blah, blah. I didnt say I read all that somewhere, its what I think has happened. We can sit back and when the story is over with and say thas what I thought. I am just putting myself out there on what I think has happened and with the dust settles we can see what the truth is. Google this and read everything you can about this and see how complex it really is, but we will never know for sure, so I have an opinion.

The problem is how much money we pay him. I think he will want about half of what he made last year. $4.5 mil will be way to much. It aint worth paying him that kind of money.
-
Wheeler made 700,000 last year, so I dont think he has a big payday coming. Avery, wasnt highly sought after last year and dont expect Indy to be biding high with the emergence of Hilton. Bushrod wont be cheap, but think we still go after him. If he costs to much, then Melton signing will be the key to the off season money available.
-
I too think we need a speed wr, so that's why I picked up Avery. He had 4.27 speed coming out of the combine.
-
I listened all day that day on the SCORE and they covered both stories, the problem was that took more calls dealing with the Tao story.

As my mind goes and I study more I have a new game plan for today anyway. We resign Scott, Louis, Melton, Roach. We pick up in FAgency Wheeler MLB.Bushrod LT, Donnie Avery WR In the draft I found a trade partner Cinn. They have two second round picks and have needs of a #2 WR and a MLB. So we trade our #20 for for #37 and #84 in the third round. Also a #6 as they have two in that round. #2 (37) Zack Ertz-TE-Stanford Need a definite upgrade at TE #2 (50) Larry Warford-OG-Kent A LG that will start from day one #3 (84) Kevin Reddick-MLB-NC A productive LB with speed #4 Brian Schwenke-OC-Cal Could take Garza spot as much as next year #5 Zac Dyset-QB-Miami A needed QB prospect #6 A.J. Francis-DT-Mary Depth on DL #6 Zack Line-FB-SMU With a West Coast type offense coming to town, we need to get a FB

so whats your point? Hayden didnt play well and Wheeler led the Raiders in tackles last year.
-
Well lets see the stats on the breakdown you did on Webb.
-
I have look up info on wheeler and I think he is a player starting to come into his own. He played in Indy for 4 years and is familiar with our defense, and I think he can be a above average player going forward. He will never go to the level of Urlacher, but his time has passed and we need to get younger and he is better now at this time in their careers.
-
He is not the player he use to be and now every year he is getting hurt. He brings some valve , at 2 mill, I think we should bring in back, but do you really think thats all he wants? He whined like a little baby to get that extensive at 10 mil per year. I guarantee you he will want between 8 to 9 mil in a two year contract. No way is he worth that. We can resign Roach, and sign Wheeler for the same money for the next two years and have a better team. Time to move on, we have a new coach, were moving to an offensive focus, and will re build the defense on the run.
-
I have read everything I can on this and I do think I have it figured out, the story is not complete and at some point in time the truth will be out there in a clear form. All along I have agreed that he has been duped, but after he found out is where the he becomes responsible. So Tuiasosopo will say he started the hoax, big deal, it means nothing.
-
It was diluted for a while but now days smaller schools have better coaching, condititioning and prospects in general are drawn from a larger pool.
-
I have read they are looking at other LBers in FAgency, of which there isnt much to select from. Anybody know much about Wheeler that played in Oak last year?
-
The problem is any decision you make has risk. I think we are better off finding our LT in FAgency(less risky) and drafting a stud OG in the draft, there should be one there at 20. Cooper is a top 15 rated player and would start from day one.I would love Warmack but he wont be there. Also the thought of moving down and getting an extra pick and then taking Jones or Warford would work well too. I think we definitely need to address the Oline early waiting until our second pick to get one of those three OGs are the chance none of them are there, and the next tier of OLine are a drop off, then were back to waiting until they develope.
-
Johnson is not a project, he is a legit 1st round, that will need to stronger, but you can say that about most linemen getting drafted. He will play his first year, and improve each year. He will be a good NFL player.
-
There is a real good chance the LT Johnson will be gone, then we need to take Johnathon Cooper who will still be available. I hope we get Bushrod so we dont have to go with a 2nd LT because he wont be a day one starter. We need to get two OLs this off season, and a guard will do find. Taking Barrett Jones would be a reach at 20, so hopefully Cooper will still be there.

I heard last year because of his injury, it limited his off season workouts. Hopefully he gets his shit together this off season. Thats why we need to resign Scott and then let Carmi take his job away. We just have to have options if people we have dont get better. I also think Brown with the off season can pick it up.
