  1. you cant trade comp picks.
  2. Moving down two spots is only going to get you a 5th or a 6th, well worth it, and with Houston they have an extra 2nd and 6th so I suspect that would come to us. So Eifert, a 3rd,6th,6th. I would do that. It would give us 8 picks to work with.
  3. Size is a concern, but not always a complete measuring stick. There are several smallish players in the league. His game is best compared to Randall Cobb, and as a weapon, he would get plenty of use in our offense. I think it is a mute point, he will never fall to us at 20.
  4. I think I read it on PFT but that was the original source. Its a slow period so was just throwing stupid information out there.
  5. TO wants to make a comeback and guess who he wants to play for? TAADAA Mark Trestman. Somebody give him a gun.
  6. think it is just insurance if Gould doesnt come back quickly, its not a guaranteed contract.
  7. So does this mean we are giving up on Evan Rod.? If we draft another TE in the first, our 4th round could end up being a wasted pick. It is not I dont like Tyler, but I dont think Emery is giving up on him yet.
  8. Its 85% mental and unfortunately its Devin's head .
  9. Its a little odd, because I heard they signed him to a 3 year contract. Also they stated Gould is still recovering from an injury that is going slower than normal.
  10. Just so everybody knows someone else came up with that idea, I just posted it. I dont think he has it anymore, and I suppose we wont know until training camp if that is true. I was just showing options of a trade, a cut , or keep him if he's still good. I just dont see us keeping a roster spot for a player that just returns kicks, and there is the issue of his pay check.
  11. I think if traded for him, they would force him to redo his contract. I dont think he has it anymore, and think the Bears are keeping him around for a trade option. We would save 2mil if we cut him and would create 833,000 in dead cap space. I just dont think we have the luxury of keeping strictly a KR-PR with that paycheck. Also you have 4 special teams spots that do nothing but kick, punt LS, and KR. I dont see us having him around.
  12. I was just being sarcastic.
  13. I think we win the Saints game, they have never won here, and lose one of the Viking or Rams game on road. Otherwise right with you on your overview.
  14. I dont mind the sunday nite games, but I hate monday and thursday nites. It just almost always doesnt go well for us.
  15. Listening to the Score this morning Mully brought up an interesting point. Why is Hester still on the roster? Only a returner paying 2.8 mil, if you trade him you dont have 833,000 in dead cap space. Bragging him up and offering him on draft day for a 5th or 6th rounder? Makes a lot of sense to me. I see a good team taking a flyer on him to put them over the top. He has not been good for the last 1 and 1/2 years but teams still treated him as such by altering there kickoffs. I see that as a possibility.
  16. I like most of the names. Bailey was highly productive but I think he was a product of the system, not very fast. I dont think Dysert lasts that long. But like the first two picks.
  17. Vernon Davis is 6'3 and Hernandez is 6'1, I think they do ok not being tall.
  18. You could take him in the first and still add a OLine in the second, and a OC later. We can fix the OL and add Austin, It isnt my first choice but I would have no problem at all.
  19. Brady gets counted in the skill players also.
  20. When Trestman went to Canada his team went from worst in the league is sacks to 3rd best. His shceme will help his QB as long as the improvements we have made and still to make on the OLne.
  21. I think we are probably on the same wave length, it is just sometimes you come across as ego tripper, saying you could do a better job. In a lot of situations, you might have made a better choice, but it all gets lost in transition. A draft choice a person made 3 years ago that failed, caused you to sign Peppers, a good player but played a ton of money. It is a snow ball effect, on one year to the next with all the decisions a GM makes. All of there choices are on record. I dont have the time or interest to go back and look at your opinion on something from a few years ago, so things get lost. It is just easier to criticize sitting in front of a computer than sitting in one of there chairs. I have never claimed there all brainiacs, just that you cant really compare our view to theirs. On here we all batter our opinions on who's smarter or made a better point, I think I could of did a better job than JA did, but if my job was at stake things might have been different. It is just kind of a mute point.
  22. There is definite risk there, but he is going to be so good. He has not missed anytime in college over injuries and injuries can happen to anybody. You just have to roll the dice and see what you get.
  23. I wouldnt bitch and complain if that happened, there is some logic to your argument, but like you said we dont know what Trestman wants to do, so he will get what his thinks he needs, whether that be another TE or a speedy WR. We simply dont know what he wants. He is a composite of eveything he has experenced, so we can say he is a WCO coach but may be many different schemes mixed together.
