  1. I like all that, the only thing I question is having enough money to resign Melton and pickup 3 FAgents. Melton will want a big pay check and that limits the other choices.
  2. Actually that was a different site, I think it was NFL Trade Rumors, I visited so many today, I would have to verify that.
  3. We have to resign Scott, he is not under contract. So we need to sign him, Actually Beatty is rated lower than Webb on one site I looked at and think we can do better. I think we should go after Bushrod/NO which will be more money but not Jake Long money. Then we need to sign a LG in FAgency, trusting a rookie to be consistent quality might be asking to much.

heres the list of FA OT:Offensive Tackles: there are 5 left tackles rated better than Webb on that list. Svitek-McKinnie-Albriet-Bushrod-LOng-and a few we know are better, but not rated as high. All of them wont break the bank. Lets target one and go for it. 5. I think somebody else made the limit of 12 not Emery, but he has time to interview those guys and end of the week bring in the finailist. After thrusdays of the week coaches can still take about jobs. McCoy could get hired next weekend and be allowed to finish to the Super Bowl.
  6. thanks, Gruden aint even getting interviewed, so dont think thats happening
  7. I like most of what you said BUT we wont be changing to the 3-4, it will take to many personal changes to make that work. Emery said the new guy will be working with the talent we have on defense. Beatty would be ok, but a 2nd rounderLG making an impact is slim at best. I think we need to just go out and two proven OL, no matter who there are and fix it now instead of a work in progress. Im telling you here Cutler wont last if he keeps taking hits as he has. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

good work put into this response, I dont want to get rid of Peppers, but if we are rebuilding the OLine, we need more money. Most people think we can just sign people. We have a lot of roster spots to fill and even if most come cheap, we need more space to sign a stud OL. I just trying to figure a way of doing it. If we can restructure it thats fine, just need some way to address our needs. I think this year is critical to straight out the OLine. If Cutler keeps takes hits at the rate its going, he wont be worth a shit going forward. Then we will be bad on both sides of the ball. Lets get strong on the offense and rebuild the defense. Living in LaLa land that everything can be addressed in the draft is dreaming. If we can get a stud OL, and we need at least two,a TE, a MLB, in the draft that would be great, but dont see that as realistic.

    Peppers

His salary is 12333,000 and cap hit 4 million more. If he gets traded, frees up 12333,000. In order for us to be able to sign good players we need more money under cap.
  10. Add a new name to list, that would Hou OC Dennison, worked with Culter and Marshall, otherwise dont know to much. Emery said he would stop at 12 and ask for 2nd interview for two guys. I think Dennison will make 12, but not that good at math.
  11. I think I am not on the same page as you, I thought because I stated McCoy you were refering to him, havent figured out who you talking about.
  12. All of that sounds reasonable except after we resign our own players, wont have enough money for a big FA signing, as Jake Long would be. The reason Miami will not try to resign is because the price will be to high. Thats why I put Peppers out to give us enough money to sign FAs on the Oline and a TE. I think Urlacher will wont to much money to come back, so dont think that he will be back. I like Airians, but think Emery will go a little younger bringing a guy in.
  13. I dont care if he is an asshole, but what about his resume that makes him a bad choice?

    Peppers

I was trying to be realistic, what did it cost for one of the best WRs in the league under 30 years old, 2-3ths. I dont think we get much more out of him, The teams in the playoffs that might be looking for the one guy to get them over the top next year dont have a lot of cap space. So made that statement because of it
  15. if you dont like mccoy then who? Reconstruction of contacts is to make the cap more friendly to sign some offensive linemen, give thrm a couple more years and spread the money I am trying to think out of the box here. He is our best defensive player, but we need the money to sign OLmen in FAgency, and I will be willing to bet if we dont cut money no big signnings will be coming here Urlacher will be gone, he will want to be paid and he is on a road to injuries every year. The whole idea of this post was to move forward, get the OL help we need and continue to build an offense, and try to retool defense in the meantime. New Orleans is way over cap and dont see them being able to get out of that in one year. Fill our needs in FAgency and draft to fill spots on defense. Robinson is a wild card, a high end talent to add to the mix at a 4th round pick, this is where you take chances. He has speed and could use him as a read option player to add the offense.
  16. Since Jason brought it up could probably get a third for Peppers(as far as trading instead of cutting) so I need to add Trade Peppers for a third and in that round pick up OLB Hodges/PSU we added needed LB depth to eventually replace Briggs Also note, I forgot to mention, we also cut Hester-time to go
  17. Stinger226

    Peppers

actually never gave that a thought about a trade, I would say at his age and salary, probably a third but that gives us the one back we gave to Miami
  18. his salary will be about 12333000, around there, and that salary goes away, you take around a 4 million cap hit, but it frees up that money to get some Oline upgrades.
  19. I sign Mike McCoy as the new HC I resign Melton,Roach,Louis,McGown. and Izzy to a one year contract I resturcture Tillman and Marshalls contract I cut J. Peppers due to his 12 million due this year,Spaeth, Kellen Davis In FAgency I sign Bushrod/LT/NO- Saints are way over salary cap so more likey to complete a deal. Levitre/LG/Buff- Young and up and coming Cook/TE/Tenn-ready to breakout In the draft #1 Ansah/DE/BYU to replace Peppers spot #2 Mitner/MLB/LSU Urlachers spot, starts from day one #4 Denard Robinson/WR/Mich Make him a Percy Harvin type WR-speed #5 Cave/OC/ND Garzas eventual replacement #6 Clement/TE/LSU blocking TE to replace Spaeth #7 Brown/QB/Ill State
  20. there is no way we will be filling 5 new spots so you figure Garza will be back,(need to draft his replacement) Louis at RG, RT? We need to get a LT in Fagency, and draft a LG in the draft.
  21. These 3 names seem to be the leaders Arians,Sullivan and McCoy, we all want we think are good, but Emery with have more time in that process to figure it out. I think he already has it figured out and just going through the process. Sullivan is intriguing, the more I read about him. He is the only one that didnt have a stud QB to deal with and had some success. Ex military like Emery and a good leader. Was in NY with Eli and helped him be a better QB and now that he isnt there, Eli isnt doing so good.
  22. that would be great, but think we need one FA and two draft picks, we no longer can take a lackluster appoach to this anymore. We know what we would be getting in FAgency so we have to get the LT and then a OG an OC in the draft. Let a center prospect sit behind Garza for a year so he is in place when hes done.
