  1. I am not sure there are any drafable players in the OL that could come in an start other than Massie who will be long gone before we pick.
  2. There are still a few DTs left that could be situational contributers. Daniels/Iowa, and Howard/ Fl,Randle/Tex, and Harris /USC
  3. I think all of our picks have some risks, but like you, the more I read, the more I get on board for the moment.
  4. Are the last three picks on this list?
  5. Emery said that Jeffery was the BPA on their board when they moved up to draft him. I have to give him credit to draft who he wants instead of appeasing draftniks (me included) that think there were better choices out there. The most interesting off season I can remember, and still more to come.
  6. Brought this to the forefront to help people see facts they dont normally use for their arguments.
  7. On a post I submitted, Food for thought, I list 7 of the leading DEs sackers that are similar in size. I did list J. Allen who is 2.5 inches taller but listed him because he came from Idaho State, because you used the small school argument. There are 5, mind you 5 that you can completely compare to our pick. But as you have did before , dont let the facts get in the way of your argument.
  8. I would not have picked any of these players, but then I am a plumber and my job is not on the line. He is filling areas of need and throwing it all on his shoulders with these picks. I have to give him cudos for not picking who I want. In two years this draft wont be a conversation, it will be the next draft, and we will know what kind of GM we have. I am a Bears fan first and foremost so I want everybody we picked to be good players, so Im on the bandwagon till proven otherwise. Nobody on this blog is a GM by trade so whine if you want, or praise, just remember it doesnt matter, you should only want everybody to be successful.
  9. Massie is still there, maybe we can get one, one spot away.
  10. Their job is on the line, so I trust they did there homework, and I will trust them till the tale of the tape tells us otherwise.
  11. Look at the list of leading sackers in the league last year, and you will see many 6-3 6-4 players on that list.
  12. they have a running Big Board on GBND website
  13. I think in the next two rounds we pick M. Martin/DT/Mich and Stephenson/OT/Okla
  14. DTs who are left B. Thompson/Clem Ta'amu/Was M. Martin/Mich rated in the top 18 players left
  15. I would say we still need to draft a DT, CB, OT, with the next two picks. Hope they can figure how to do that.
  16. Just showing how different peoples opinions vary quite a bit, most sites have him in that range, so we got valve where were at. The player most like him in the NFL is B. Marshall, so we will have to see how this plan plays out.
  17. We still need help on the OLine to get this potent offense going, running out on our potenial canidates to help .
  18. PFW has him ranked as the 49th best player NFP has him ranked as the 99th best player GBND has him as the 40th best player Draftcountdown has him at 59. He seems to have a lot of varied opinions on him, just hope he does well for us. It seems that Emery has a plan and it doenst include much help for the OL.
  19. He is our #2 and Bennett plays in the slot, where he belongs.

  21. I agree if they went WR I would have thought it be Randle.
  22. The kid talking about being a special teams player, is just him answering ?s in a positive way , has nothing to do what the Bears expect of him.
  23. I think they will try to make him stronger, then will start, and will be a situational pass rusher to start out with. We have all these opinions and he could turn to be a very good player. Emerys strong suit is drafting and if this doesnt turn out, we can burn him. Being a Bear fan I want it to be a good pick and I will remain positive about it until it proves otherwise. I also think down the road he could be the next big thing at MLB when Urlacher is done and be there 10 years. Right all he has to do is get 8 to 10 sacks and everybody will be happy.
  24. This is getting out of whack and I understand what you meant when you were comparing him to Bazium(dumb comparison by the way) when you said he was white. but anytime you mention color in any type of comparison you will get flack. Maybe you should give a little more thought to what you say before blogging it, then you wont have to try to defend yourself all the time by telling other people how stupid there are when you were the one that stated it.

    2nd Round Pick

I wouldnt mind taking any of those WRs, I think they may go DT with the second round. possible choices Worthy/DT/MS,Still/DT/PSU,Reves/DT/Conn, Thompson/DT/Clem. Also OL with players Glenn/OT-OG, Konz/OC-OG, Martin/LT, Massie/LT, Allen/OT-OG, Adams/LT. So we will see who falls but they need to address OL, or DL before we grab another WR, there will be some choices left in the third or 4th round worth taking.
