If we go by tape and production?
He has 93 tackles and 16.5 sacks in 3 years, thats not pro bowl stats. I would say as high of a pick as he was, he is on the low side of his expectations.

Wow...Lesean McCoy traded
There goes the Forte trade down the drain.

Brian Hartline?
As somebody suggested, if BM goes, we could use a speed guy as a #2 and still grab a slot WR, someone like Beasley from Dallas.

Rumors and tidbits
There are lots more players being released that has game. I wonder if we grab some older pros or stick to the youth movement I expect them to adhere to. I think if there is a few leader type pros, maybe we sign a couple of guys over 30 to fed the new culture they with to establish.

If we go by tape and production?
If Fowler or Gregory is there, they will be our selection.

Cap Space - your thoughts
That is a good point, NE is good because of Brady, and they add so many players they are bound to hit on them. Seattle is another team that has tons of players go thru the door and find gems along the way.

Cap Space - your thoughts
There are 3 teams that draft well year in and year out, Balt,NE and GB. Anybody want to go back and re think HaHa Dix?

Rumors and tidbits
Was looking at SF NTs for the last 3 years 6-5 318,6-1 297, 6-1 305 Fangios NTs dont fit the big fat guy in the middle like the typical 3-4 scheme does. That is why I am positive Shelton will not be our 7th pick. If we drop down several spots his valve will change.
-
Cap Space - your thoughts
We have to quit that shit and build for a continued winner and that may take a few years but lets be like GB and hone our own draftees and cut back on the fix this year player.

Cap Space - your thoughts
I think both of those players will be tagged, after the tags are applied the market will get thinner.

If we go by tape and production?
The thing that bothers me about Beasley is the 34 tackles, not what gret players show for a stat line.

Football information I respect
Your right about that , I have a tendency to view how they rank the player board more than the mock.

Football information I respect
There are tons of info out there about football, Bears, draftees. These are some of the sites I respect/or like for better or for worse. Draft Countdown- player rankings Watlers football- general information Matt Mller/BR -general knowledge and rankings Over the Cap- salary info PFF- stats PFT- always seems to be first with football breaking news Draft breakdown-tape of players GBND-player rankings, general info Our Lads- scouts take on draftee valves Here is the latest draft projection for GBND 1-Shelton/DE/Wash 2-Kikaha/OLB/Wash(didnt realize he played with Shelton 3-Harris/FS/Virgina I could live with that draft with anticipation.

Colts Targeting Brandon Marshall
Agree with everything you said, except for the fact we could get a #2 for him. His age and past will prohibit that. If you look at past trades for a barometer, the valves are always less that what fans think. I would be elated with a 3 and the money that comes with it. If you look at the past of our new leaders, they have one BM like player on the team and their #2 is a slot/speed guy. Jeffery fills the BM spot and they will look for the #2. With two big not fast WRs we got to predictable . I think he is a top 5 WR in the league, but at his age, and disruptions his valve is less desirable. We need to go forward with youth no matter what it costs in victories, because hanging on to older vets just keeps us from leaping forward with a consistent winning team. We have only made the playoffs 4 times in the last 19 years, looking back, that just wasnt good enough, and everything needs to change and that includes letting go of still good older vets.

If we go by tape and production?
If we keep the combine in thought but go back and look at production WHO DO WE PICK games-tackles-TFL-S-PBU-INT Beasley:2014 13 34 21.5 12.0 3 0 Dupree: 2014 12 74 12.5 7.5 1 1 Gregory: 2014 11 54 10.0 7.0 Ray: 2014 14 65 22.5 14.5 Fowler: 2014 12 60 15.0 8.5 Orchard:2014 13 84 21.0 18.5 Harold: 2014 12 54 14.5 7.0 Kikaha: 2014 14 72 25.0 19.0 Size and speed matter, competition, work ethic, attitude, tape, production If you take a closer look, if a player is on a real good team, there are usually other play makers that lowers a persons stats looked at some tape on all of the above and have to admit, Ray and Dupree kind of stood out. I threw Orchard and Kikaha in there because of there great stats, something to consider in the 2nd or 3rd round if we dont go with a Edge rusher in the first. I would have no problem if any of those names are on our team after the draft. CONCLUSION: On everything I have seen and read, I wouldnt pick Beasley at 7 and still keep Ray in thought. What I would do is try to drop back and get some extra picks and take Dupree. Let me hear your opinions (again in most cases, it seems to be always changing)

Colts Targeting Brandon Marshall
For everybody that stills wants BM. Yes he is one of the better WRs in the league No, he was part if not the bad culture on our team last year. We dont know all the facts but the more you read , the more you realize , he created chaos that just cant be tolerated with a new beginning. I trust the new leaders to decide if he can be controlled or not worth the effort. The answer will come soon.

Mariotta at 7?
This year is the start of a new era, new brass, you cant take a risk with the first pick. We have a chance to get a difference maker. Every QB in this years draft has a chance of being a bust, we need a concrete pick not paper mache. 4 years from now there will be maybe 4 from this class still in the league, no stars backups picked high that didnt pan out. As Jason said,NO NO,NO.

Your FA Wish List
I hope that works out, IMO, Houston is the only true 5T type end on the team. We will be adding 2 5T ends, hopefully those two can play there, makes us stronger.

McCown gets 3 year deal from Browns
He's not a good QB, look at last year. As a backup, good place for him playing a couple of games a year but as starter? Leaves a lot to be desired.

Rumors and tidbits
Matt Miller from BR listed his post combine big board and think he is a smart guy. I find it to be realistic on his rankings. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2377017...e-update/page/2

Mariotta at 7?
Doubt it, there is rumor that Pace likes him. This is the time of the year you hear every story under the sun. Nobody plays there hand before the draft or FAgency. Ever since Pace came here, you have heard nothing of there plans, and their is no benefit to tell everybody.

Chris Bonner
With so many needs dont see a QB being drafted before the 6th round. I think they will find a vet to be the #2 Qb, maybe a Matt Moore.(previous ties to Fox.)

Zach Miller Signs 1 Yr Extension
Im sure it wasnt much more than the minimum, so just another option for our rebuilding.

Colts Targeting Brandon Marshall
I think if it happens, it will be a 3rd. If they are serious about not having him back, they save 9 mil and will not try to rob anybody. The Colts have a bad taste in their mouth over the Trent Richardson deal, no way its higher. Remember we gave 2 3rds when he was 3 years younger.

Your FA Wish List
With all that I have read about changing to the 3-4 , neither name has been mentioned as a 5-T end. So I am not sure why you assume they are.
