    SFs Oline

One of the better Olines in the NFL, and how was it built? LT, Joe Staley- 6 years exp.-28th player chosen. LG,Iupati-3 years exp.-43rd player taken. C, Goodwin-11years exp.-FA from NO RG, Boone-3 years exp.-Undtrafted FA- projected as a RT RT, Anthony Davis-3 years exp.-11th player taken-Drafted as a LT The point to all of this is 2 #1 draft picks, 1 2nd, one UDFA, and a FA. Staley,Iputai, Davis started from day 1. Boones first year starting and Goodwin has started 5 years of his 11 year career You have to have high drafts pick that make it play on your line, SF has 3. Then you can fit in a couple around him. For us, if we drafted right, we would have Williams, Carmi, as first round picks starting. Garza, a good vet. and Louis a 7th round pick. Spencer a FA.(not any good) The problem is we never hit on our high draft picks. WE NEED TO DO THAT NOW. The 1st and 2nd rounds picks need to be hits and pick up another guy in FAgency. Then maybe we can start something good with the Oline.
  2. We have one, not to the extent of those three you mentioned but good enough. It comes down to a good line and a good scheme.

    Terra's Mock

I like your players and ideas, if we are playing fantasy football, then I'll add a mock. There are only 3 WRs with first round grades and only one worthy of a top 15 pick, hw has some injuries issues that could drop him down to the late 1st round. I just dont think SF is a likely candidate to move up.
  4. I think Airians goes to San Diego, the new GM is a friend of his. Also I think the final three will be Sullivan, McCoy, or Trestman. They all might turn out to do well, or fail. One way to find out, hire somebody already and lets move forward, while we still have a good pick of other coaches.

    Terra's Mock

Like the players just not sure SF will trade down just to make your mock draft look good.

    Terra's Mock

I agree McClellin is not a bust yet. Any smart person doesnt rate a draft in one year. Also Terra, why would SF want to trade up? I dont think teams that have drafted so well the last few years, are interested in giving up extra picks to move up 9 spots. Good teams project a few good players being available, and they could have who they want fall to 29 from 20. If they focus on one player he would be, a stud up in the top 10 not marginal picks at 20.
  7. Actually we dont have a 7th round pick this year, so much for an expert draft speculation.

    TE

those are the top 2, one a 1st rounder, and the other a 2
  9. I heard that on the score today, seems to be a viable candidate
  10. Sullivan had the most extensive interview, 6 hours instead of 3. and McCoys ran over an hour. I think I like McCoy the best, but have a hunch Sullivan gets the job. His previous experience was in NY with Eli, during his successful years. Run, pass, balance, play action, deep passing attack. I think that would work well here.
  11. The cover 2 is run maybe 30% of the time, a situational defense.

    TE

he is not rated very high, maybe 5th or 6th best? Its hard to go by highlight plays.
  13. Actually we dont have a 7th round pick this year. These sites are people that know less than us about the Bears, their perspective is from a distance.
  14. So far our choices are still available. I read where Airians is interested in the Chargers job because his old friend just became the GM. So I think our comes down to McCoy and Sullivan. with Sullivan having the edge. I prefer McCoy, but Im not anybody of importance.
  15. I think being his desire to be a head coach, and us starting over fresh, we are doing him a favor.
  16. Bush started well and then faded, hopefully a offense will give him a place to contribute.
  17. We can bet some one other than Long, trusting a rookie coming in and be very good is short sightedness. He may be better in the long run, but we need someone good now not 2 years from now. Look at this year and there are only a few OL that had a marginial impact, Kalil, Schwarzt, Ziegler,Silatolu. 3 of them were high draft picks. We may get lucky and grab one at 20 that can start, but may be asking too much.
  18. First to resign all the players we want back and roster spots that will eat up 10 mil. then you have to do the things you suggest to get some money free, no way we have enough to buy Albert at possible 12 mil. do the math, or we can pretend because it sounds better. I like your ideas just dont think its realistic
  19. I have goggled the Salary cap and the only 3 refers to the cap is 13.3mil,14,4mil and 4.2mil. None of that sounds like enough to me. As I find out more information, I will post it.
  20. I heard on the Score today that interviewing Singletary was a favor to George McCaskey. Singletary called the Bears and asked to interview.
  21. the money has to come from somewhere. If we have 18 mil cap space, subtract our guys we resign and then what do you have to sign FAgents. Everybody thinks we have unlimited funds to sign anybody, realistically we just dont.
  22. ND got exposed, probably the 4th best team in the country. Teo sure didnt show up on the big stage, but will be a starter in the NFL just not a stud. One of those OLs will be there at our pick and would have no problem with any of them. There were all men among boys last nite.
  23. He already has he coach picked out, now he is on a fact finding mission surfing the NFL picking brains on his team. Why not.
  24. good job, you off work or something, you seem to have a lot of free time;
