We need to find a lot of min salary guys, so we can at least make a couple of pricey moves in FAgengy.
-
Cool, we may be able to be in a good place yet.
-
Actually the biggest problem was his knee injury, and your right no one can be accurate with number of games played, but with such a lousy line in front of him, I suspect he would have missed more games due to his abuse by lineman reaching him.
-
I think the Bears make an offer similar to the price you mentioned in a different thread. Will have to see if someone wants to pay him big bucks. Seattle released Red Bryant, maybe we can add him for a song.
-
I still think in 5th thur 6th round picks we could be adding one. I read where Ikard has ties to Kromer. Friends with his son, and has talked to him about being drafted. 5th or 6th. Put him on the practice squad and let him learn being around Garza.
-
Just means we probably wont be drafting one. One backup spot set.
-
Just need to check out all options, Bostic wont be playing the middle again unless we get lots of injuries. He is set to take Lances job after this year. Greens will end up just being a usable backup. I see us bringing in or drafting our new MLB. I read where Underwood played for our new LBers coach Paul P.(didnt want to misspell it)

A few players in FAgency I think we should look at that would add to the team, not top players. Dexter McCluster/RB/WR - I think he would add something to our offense we havent seen yet. Matt Shawnessey/DE-already mentioned by a member, think he is under the radar player that could help lots.Could be gotten instead of Wootton Desmon Bishop/MLB- talented player injured last year Cory Graham/CB- at 29 still has some life in him Malcom Jenkins- young and upcoming Garret Grahan/TE- would be a good complement to Bennett
-
What your missing is most mock drafts are not accurate, just something to play with waiting for football to happen.Because of the combine he probably moved up one round. I suspect a 2nd or third.
-
You only make that move if your one or two players away. We are 7 players away right now. Plus no one will let you move up to 5 for just a 2nd rounder, no way in hell does that happen. At least 2nd, 3rd and 6th
-
He is probably a different type of player but he makes me think of SMC
-
I would love that draft and also the Matt S. signing, spot on.
-
Donald looks like he would be a great fit for our defense. Brings the production, health, consistency, and fire that would help our defense alot. So who will want him. There is always Lovie sticking his nose in there, but they have more glaring needs that another DT right now and they have G. McCoy to play the 3 T Dallas most definitely will be after him but they pick after us. Otherwise your normal good drafting teams will find a place for him. GB,SF,Seattle, and NE. So we should get the first shot at taking him and good luck to us. I think he is the man. If we cut Peppers,DE will become more of a need, but I think Donald should not be passed up. We can still get Crighton,Smith, or Martin in the next couple of rounds.
-
Them keeping Boggs for one more year probably says he may develop into our next starting OC.
-
Martin is not only fast had 82 tackles-21.5 TFL-12.5 sacks, very similar in numbers to Clownery
-
Its not if we draft Mosely, but he may be better at handling the Pros than Bostic was, hard to say, but he is the top rated MLB, if we choose to go that way.Every player has different paths to follow, but I think we need some leadership on our defense whether you think it matters or not.
-
One thing we know for sure is Emery likes athletic players, so that puts Donald in the front along with Hageman.
-
If its Bostic? way to many things to learn to become a team leader his first year. Urlacher didnt assume that role for a few years.
-
Not a combine DL thing, but seen where Archer/RB/Kent State run a 4.26 40 time Im thinking Trestman could find ways to use him in his offense, maybe a 4th rounder? At least take Hester's place on KR
-
If one of those top players drop, it may be beneficial to trade down and grab several picks for the privilege of our pick.
-
way to expensive for so many spots to fill, but would be the bomb.
-
I would not be upset over that, I think Mathews might end up being the LT with Bushrod moving over the following year.
-
He may not be as good at point of attack as those two, but got a feeling he will be a better pass rusher.
-
Who we wont be drafting in round 1 QBs- we will be solid at that position for the first time in years OTs- we will not spend this high of a pick with our line being built last year. OGs- usually not a first round pick and none rate that high this year OC- we definitely need one in the works but the best one is only rated as a 2nd rounder this year. TE-with Bennett being here, I think we tag one this year but wont be this high WR- possible but not probable, with Marshall,Jefferies an Wilson in the next up status here(maybe as BPA after round 3) DE- I think our biggest need DT- will be able to choice the top one at that spot LB- I think its possible our pick could be Mosley if he is the BPA at the time of the pick, I also think if Mack or Barr drops we could drag that into the BPA spot S- need, need, need, could very will be our pick,HaHa or Pryor, and would have no problem with those picks CB-we have the need and could be Gilbert or Dennard if they are there. I think Emery could surprise us with grabbing someone like Creighton/DE, Bucannon/S,(not rated that high) or Barr or Mack(because they dropped)
-
Emery stated they want to get younger, so the thought of bringing back all the old guys doesnt seem genuine.I think he is keeping the lines open, with everybody so that is some of his plans fall thru he will have lanes open for some of them guys to come back. I dont buy the Hayden signing just think its a second option. Wooten, Melton are younger players, so them being more of a priority.
