I agree, it will a combination of what the talent dictates.

Blanchard, Matt QB 6-3 225 23 R Wisconsin - Whitewater 74 Dennis, Derek OL 6-3 315 24 R Temple 88 Eldridge, Brody TE 6-5 265 25 3 Oklahoma 31 Frey, Isaiah CB 6-0 190 22 R Nevada 82 Golden, Brittan WR 6-0 185 24 R West Texas A&M 85 Miller, Gabe TE 6-3 257 25 2 Oregon State 83 Moss, Dale WR 6-3 213 24 R South Dakota St. 46 Nelson, Tom S 5-11 200 26 3 Illinois State 84 Onobun, Fendi TE 6-6 260 26 3 Houston 95 Ozougwu, Cheta DE 6-2 255 24 1 Rice 44 Quarles, Cyhl S 6-3 212 23 R Wake Forest 68 Riley, Chris G 6-5 305 25 1 Illinois State 81 Toliver, Terrence WR 6-5 204 24 1 LSU 59 Trahan, Patrick LB 6-2 236 26 1 Mississippi 94 Whiteside, Aston DE 6-2 255 23 R Abilene Christian 96 Wilson, Lawrence LB 6-1 229 25 1 Connecticut These are players on our reserve/futures squad. So who on this list makes the roster, and the depth chart? I think Blanchard could turn out to be our 3rd QB on the roster. The only other ones I see as a chance of making the roster are Isaiah Frey/CB Tom Nelson/S Dale Moss/WR players I checked out that may be cheap roster additions.

I have been looking up your players and have to say most are good choices but Boyce is a 4.55 speedster. Not sure that applies.
-
Spencer is a UFA
-
I like the players you listed, but think Warford might still be there at 42, of which I would rather have.
-
I have read where AZ is interested in Mike Glennon but to high to pick at #7. They will be looking to move up in the first round, as they dont think he will be there on there pick. They have picks 38,69,and a 6th that is equal valve on the trade chart.

Since this is a slow time, draft sites, I respect are GBND,Countdown.com, and because of content Walters and Drafttex. A new one I found was NFL Mocks and interesting thing about that website is it projects where FAgents go. They have us resigning Campbell(which I dont see happening because of cost) I think the possibility exists due to OC ties we grab Chase Daniel/QB They have us signing Dutin Keller/TE (which I wont be objective to, is the better TEs become to expensive) They have us signing Gordon Cherilius/OT (which I dont see happening because he plays RT) my choices would be Beatty, Albert, Bushrod in that order) They havent released Defense players yet.

I dont think Kromer turned a late round pick into a starter in one season, we need the production immediately not a year or two from now. When means the first player taken in FAgency and the first or second round pick.
-
I think the possibility of Johnson being at 20 are slim and none, we simply have to get a LT in FAgency and take the OG in the first or second round.
-
The biggest thing all of these actions tell you is, not very smart. Anybody with a bright future that doesnt realize what he needs to do to get there, is a big red flag.
-
Im ok with all that
-
I like all the names but Faulk, but dont see Warmack being there at 20, wish he was . Also bb is right, Kelce will go in the 3rd or 4th.
-
there wasnt

I respect his opinions, and little that I know looks reasonable choices. Travis F. has been getting more acclaim lately, so another OL we can throw in the hopper if we chose to go that rout in the second round.
-
I think we will draft one(FB) in a late round, also think we should sign B. Meyers as a reasonable FA, and leave our first 3 draft picks to OL,LB, and a speedy WR. In what ever order makes sense.
-
It would be nice to have him, but not at an upscale price, to much inconsistency, everyone we might get in FA will have some questions so lets get a good deal and deal with an upgrade over what we have at a reasonable price. I am throwing my hat in the ring for B. Meyers, not great but can catch passes. He went to Iowa so maybe he wants to come back to the wonderful weather of the midwest. If we can get him for the same price as we paid our TE-Davis, I think we win. If money didnt matter he would not be my first or second choice, just a better choice considering we only have money to spend on one big FA and I hope that goes to Beatty/LT .
-
The key here is we have limited funds to spend, we need to spend them on improving the offense. At 2 mil, we can accept Urlacher at a less productive state. He will be mediocre. Did anybody think Ray Lewis played a good super bowl, he might have been a leader but his play was bad. We need a new OL, TE, a speedy WR, at some point we have to fix the defense on the fly, keeping Urlacher doesnt make sense at what he will want, and I believe the powers that be will decide the same thing; not us. I loved Urlacher, but cant do a Lovie and hang on to the past when he simply wont be close to the same. At 2 mil sign me up, if not on the cheap, then start fresh. Jerry and Lovie are gone its time to move forward not sideways. We can get an average FA for less and get the same out of him. OR draft a LB in the second round and run with him for the future.
-
Urlacher is going to want 4 to 5 mil. , we can get a better player for less.
-
Your assuming the first 3 stay healthy. Bennett and Jeffery had extended games off.
-
If your drafting a starter at MLB in Skov, paying Urlacher for two years at 4 mil. a year is a waste. He now has knee damage that cant be fixed. He will play mediocre and 12 games a year. Time to let legends go to pasture. A Saftey no way. Otherwise you address the OL and glad about that. Still want a speed WR.
-
they dont have a choice, they dont have the personal to run a 3-4.
-
We will be cutting Hester and we do need to address WR, but we can do that in a latter round. After OL,TE,MLB, we need to address that , just not with a high pick.
-
For every example of you giving me one slow guy made good, there will be 5 that didnt. I understand all that it takes to be a good WR, but almost all good teams have a speed guy. Speed is not the only thing, but it does matter.
-
I didnt say Jones would last to us, I stated the possiblity of getting Warford in the second. We would have to take him at 20 or move down and grab him. I dont think he makes it out of the first round.
-
Your right about the 40 time not being the main attraction, but in the NFL speed matters. a 4.55 guy aint the same as a 4.33 guy.
