    Boldin...

A couple of there needs are CB and TE. How about our second round pick and Vasher and Clark. Vasher still has a skill set and may be attractive to them, and Clark can block and still has a couple of years left in him. We have Davis to fill in at TE and Graham to take over the left CB slot and draft another CB for some depth. We have the money under the cap to sign Boldin.
  2. This draft seems realistic to me as far as the Bears view players and needs. 2-Johnson/DE/Georgia Tech 3-Beckwith/LB/LSU 4-Barden/WR/Cal Poly 5a-Turner/WR/USC 5b-Hamlin/FS/Clem 6-Brewster/OT/Ball State 7a-Fletcher/CB/Iowa 7b-McCall/FB/Ala They view defense a priority, they think they can get DBs in later rounds, and draft a couple of WRs.
  3. It would be nice if they thought he was the guy they wanted , they can get him with the 3rd or maybe 4th round pick. Then pick a defensive starter with the 2nd round pick.
  4. They said they wanted a difference maker at WR, non of them are, so that tells me they will draft defense with the first pick and draft a guy later at WR. Depending on who they get will address help after the draft.
  5. Brian PFW has Washington ranked as the 59th best player, but it is the only place I have seen him ranked high. Everbody else has him as a 4th round projection. Denver picks Brace /DT/Boston College with its pick. I feel quite lucky to get him, although he is a little bit of a reach to anchor our new 3-4 defense. Along with Stafford and Jackson, Im feeling an A grade on my draft. The Bears are on the clock.
  6. Arguing with a cop at a traffic stop barely gets a mention in todays NFL, he just isnt living up to expectations and would be a welcome addition if he doesnt cost to much. Our flexability is short considering we have two less draft picks already, and have one project in Bullocks.
  7. I think if we could get him in the 3rd round, we could go a little farther with his risk factor. The knock on Colston/NO was that he dropped the ball to much. Thats why he lasted till the 7th round that year. I think we would all jump at the chance to have him on our team. The fact is none of us really know, so if we draft him, hope it turns out.
  8. Thats a big negitive just because it tells us there not to bright. Having said that if Havin falls to us at 49, I think we take him.
  9. If we could get him with one of our 5th rounder, that would be fine. The problem is , he isnt panning out in Buffalo, thats why he is going to be made available. I read they need a playmaker at that position in Buffalo and he isnt doing the job. Thats what we need at that position.
  10. I think Rob will be gone, and probably the most ready to contribute right away Wr in the draft. I dont care if it is WhoEver from Whereever U as long as we get a WR that can contribute in some capicity right away no matter what all the draft experts think of that receiver. I think with Cutler here, we have a better chance of a WR being productive, even as a rookie.
  11. DaBs hasnt been around , so I will pick for him: Since they dont have any strong arears of need after WR The Giants pick Unger/OC/Oregon He is the highest rated player still on the board and can play all three positions on the OL. So they add depth to a strong line that is starting to age. Prophet is up next
  12. It will be very telling on how sharp the guy really is. Doesnt seem to be very realistic. I think this blog has more realistic opinions.
  13. Shaughnessy has a high motor but injuries have slowed his quickness down. In the last two years he has had 8 sacks and he is suppose to be a better pass rusher than a run stopper. If were going to draft someone at that spot we need someone that has better quickness and actually was productive in college. We need someone with a better upside at that valve and he aint it.
  14. We now get to choose between D.J. Hackett, Mike Fuerry, or Jerry Porter. Wow
  15. There will be better DE prospects than M. Shaun./Wisc available at the time and we have shown no interest in him.

    My Draft

I would like that draft, but dont think Wallace and Coffee are there in the 5th round.
  17. This isnt what I would do, but what I think the Bears will do. Collie is generally considered a 4th choice in most drafts. I have seen him in the 5th in some mocks and as high as the 2 in two mocks. Our 3rd is 99, and the 4th round starts at 101, so that pick isnt much of a reach.
  18. I dont see us taking an injury risk as our first receiver taken, noting the Bradley experiment wasnt that long ago. More of a healthy body with pick. Other wise seemed to go quite well.
  19. Bear fans will be unhappy with our draft. Lots of complaining on these air ways. In the end a successful team with a few rookies making contributions is all that matters. Our first pick will be someone nobody has considered like a 1st rounder that has dropped to us at 49
  20. This is not my dream draft but with all that I have read(I dont have a life) how I think the players will drop to us that we have on our board. 2-Bryd/FS/Ore I think we wanted Johnson and he is gone and the WRs we have rated high at this point are gone so we take a player on our board that fits this slot. Besides his dad is a ass. coach on the team. 3-Collie/WR/BYU The best receiver left in our second tier WR group that fits this valve at this spot. 4-Follett/OLB/Cal I see them as thinking this is a potenial upgrade at that position and fits the valve of the pick. 5a-Melton/DE/Tex They have shown interest in him, and thinks our coaching staff can make a player out of him. 5b-Parrish/OT/KS They have shown an interest in him. He is atheltic and could develope in to a starter down the road. 6-Gill/DT/NW We have worked him out twice. He is fast at his size and still on the board. 7a-Cherry/WR/L-L We had him in for a pre-draft visit and take a flyer on him. 7b-Louis/OG/SDS Had a private workout. A college tackle that projects to guard.
  21. I think RJ is an Mike Brown type in that he is a playmaker and has football smarts. He didnt seem to have any injury issues in college, so he would be a great pick at the 49th spot. Also he is a valve pick at that spot, unless a top 6 WR drops to us at that point. It will be a tough decision but think they view the WR position deeper and go FS.
  22. Cant hit the point better than that and be funny at the same time.
  23. I remember hearing all this talk when he went to visit the Titans, I wont believe things till I see it.
  24. At that spot, I would like to see Robiskie, but dont think he will be there. I think Nicks will be gone too, but think Britt could be there, and Iglesias. Which one would you take at that point?
  25. Your right about that, if we could get him in the 4th, there is less valve at that pick so the risk is more worth taking. The 2nd round would be to high to me, but if the other top prospects are gone, as a second tier WR it may be an ok pick, just not at 2.
