What are the top three moves made this off season?
Stinger226 replied to Wesson44's topic in Bearstalk
Absolutley agree, as seems to be a lot of others on here. -
Profootball focus did a study of the top rated WRs and there catch rate. He tops the list for the last 3 years with a .0315 drop rate. The worst was Roy Williams(thank god he is gone) with .1435 % drop rate. Marshall finished with (in three year span)a .1155%drop rate. He did have shitty QBs in Miami,so I guess we can look for improvement.

I give a little more creed to Tice than to Lovie. With Lovie everything is a rose garden, but I think Tice shoots straighter arrows.
-
If we play to the players strengths instead of trying to force a system we will eventually succeed with our talent. It will prove to be true once we see real games. I dont like Lovie but think Tice has the smarts to do it well.

My first of many predictions, Bears 34, Colts 12. 4 field goals is all the Colts will muster, and two are due to turnovers.
-
I think we were predictable because we had limited weapons on offense and thus less options to use. Now with one very good WR it changes everything. What I like with what I am seeing is we are playing to the players strengths that we have. We could have on the field at one time, a 6-4,6-3,6-7 targets, and with options of Forte and Hester out of the slot, what a nightmare for a DC. When was the last time we had a matchup problem for a defense? I use to do drugs, so I actually cant remember that situation going back. I think we all that we added, the one player that will take advantage of all this will be Bennett. Hopefully he will mainly be playing slot and will flourish with giants on the field.

If the offense is that productive, that means we are scoring lots of points and the other team with be forced to play catch up, and the sacks and turnovers will be flowing.

Every time we think we are going to have a good year, they disappoint us.Every time we expect so little they suprize us. Is it finally the year where we play up to our potenial from day 1. I think so. We now have a more talented Offense to live in the present of the NFL. The defense is starting to slide some, but if we can get top 16 production out of it, we maybe will be talking 11 to 12 victories. Im not drinking coolaid this morning. The STs is always one of the best, so with an upgraded offense, good things could be coming.

He takes a lot of heat because he isnt tall, but cant knock his play over the last two years, top 1/3 in the league. He isnt perfect, but look around only a handful of CBs are top tier.

I have to give you a lot of credit, you got a lot of mileage out of totally nothing.
-
Yes Webb was lousy last year and yes he is better. Why? He has experience and after being cut by two teams not making it to training camp, must not have a good upside. Good teams keep prospects, one in a while one slips threw, but why do you think he is one of them. Nothing to merit that of than Webb was bad. I would rather try Brown there before some OTAs cut.

You actually have a lot of good input in this blog, but have to say this wasnt one of them.

The Sporting News rated all positions(I didnt find QB yet), and here is where we stacked up. They only showed top 10 RB, Forte was 5th WR, Marshall was 5th QB, I didnt see that ranking, but know Cutler probably wont be listed in top 10 OL, I actually couldnt find any Bears listed, go figure DE, Peppers was #1 DT, nope OLB, Briggs was 7th MLB, Urlacher was 4th CB, nope. Lovie Smith was ranked as the 9th best coach in League.

Wow, I really like that forward type thinking. I am an optimist with a sense of reallity, but never have thought that far a head. I do actually believe, we have a distinct possiblity this could happen.
-
Where did you find that info at? I have checked Patriot websites and cant find that.
-
I agree with your take, and would like to add, we have the potenial to be one of the better offenses in the league due to our ability to run. I would say more to the likes of NO with passing and running. We are a good TE short of being that type of offense. I think you will find us being one of the top 3 in time of possesion this year. Also high percentage in red zone too.

Hey it is still a slow period. Who would you take, I say the best 3 options are AP. Jarret Allen, Kahil. Make a choice. As for me I think Kahil would be a bookend OT for 8 to 10 years with Carimi. Even though he hasnt played a down in the NFL yet, is upside is great.

I pretty well read everything about the Bears, some are valid, some are dumb. It doesnt matter who is writing them, if most of the things they say make a good point.
-
I think we have Bush for the goalline, but maybe a handful of carries over the course of the year, just wont matter. If it fires him up and works with his carries, no big deal. I dont think it will be much of a distraction, give me the ball and run straight ahead, not much to think about .
-
Hopefully it is better, I am not sure it can be worse. That lineup can get it done with no injuries, it wont be at the top of the OL ratings, but if everything goes right can maybe make it to 16-20 area.
-
I think Davis is a question mark and to get the TE in the passing game this year, you needed another option if he fails. It is just about options.

Anybody that's writes anything, is just someones opinion, or interitation of facts. I would say his view is accurate and that's my opinion. The packer fans blog was so stupid , you couldn't take it serious. This article makes since, so we give it more merit. Smart writers sometime writes something stupid, but saying that the packer fan was an idiot.

There is an article in the www.bleacherreport.com about Jay being the most underrated player in NFL, its a good one. Read it. That is the website, not sure if its linked right. May be one of the computer brains can help me.

No matter how this draft turns out, Emery run the draft with JAs guys still in place and was late into the process. I would say next year will be his true first draft.

I would say most people drink and have a good time, but how stupid is he to get caught drunk driving. So easy to just let someone else drive, or call a taxi.
