  1. Let me say he will be in Detroit! If I was the onwner, I would send him to the worst situtation as possible. He screwed me and I get to screw him. Higher draft picks, although the first pick has its down side.
  2. Ill take SD and Titans if you need more teams filled.
  3. Everybody can stop figuring it out, I just did. If you were Denver your going to get good valve from probably everybody, so I would trade him to the worst team I got the offer from, Detroit.
  4. I am afraid to get it done, it might be 2 #1s, and maybe Briggs, and Orton.
  5. So what do you guys think it will take? I think offering 2 #1s, this year and next and Orton, may not be enough. Detroit can give them there #1 and whatever, so that have there qb of the future, there wont be one there at our pick.
  6. I see your point and agree with the numbers for hits, makes alot of sense.
  7. I like the second draft better, but why would the Giants move up? I think the only ones moving up would be for a QB, or RB, maybe Macklin if he falls, otherwise I dont see the Giants having the need to move up . I also dont see us talking a RB before 5, with the resigning of Jones and Wolfe expected to get more carries.
  8. I agree this move wont make us younger, but the last two OTs we drafted high didnt play there first year, and we dont even know if Williams is any good. Its all about having a better team, and I frankly dont care how they do it. Drafting hasnt been there strong suit lately, and as long as we draft one by the 3rd round to develope , I will be happy. I too dont want anymore 7th round OLs.
  9. If we get Culter,. why draft Harrell? Kelly and Robiskie are similar type of Wrs, I would think they would add a speed guy later like a Knox/AB-4.34 speed. I would say with Shaffer and Williams playing guard, you already on backups in Beekman, Bueninng, Garza. Which means they draft a developmental OT for the future with Pace, and Schaffer not being youngsters.
  10. If they sign him, I would say it puts Vasher on notice, or maybe they move Tilliman to FS?
  11. There is talk he will now play RT to prolong playing time. He competes for the RT job and the best man wins. We have Schaffer as our swing tackle and draft a developmental RT to play in 2 years. He left the Ravens without a contract and the only other player for him is us. He takes what he can get at this point with an incentive laden contract.
  12. Do you need more people or do you have enough to get started? At least draw the Bear spot so everybody waiting for that can pick a team
  13. If we sign Pace, I doubt if he would be a backup. If he ends up here, could mean we wont be taking a OT till the 5th or 6th with a couple of years to develope a raw prospect.
  14. I get into the draft and a lot of publications have as a knock on him is his passion for the game and football intelligence. There are some rated better than him that could be had there. Watkins/Flor, Fulton/Ill, and Kropog/Tulane.
  15. I rarely agree with your opinions, but you did a good job on that.
  16. I hate to say it, but that is the best mock I've seen.
  17. I was throwing it out there for discussion, if it might make our team better I would be for it.
  18. I was reading where KC doesnt think Glenn Dorsey fits in his new 3-4 sceme at NT. They traded there #2 for Cassel, so would you make the trade for Dorcey with our #1? I know that isnt an area of need, but Dorcey is rated to be a all-pro type and with the questions around Harris would they consider it? With no second would the Chiefs do that? Or maybe even offer them a 2? and would that be done.
  19. I think the best thing about Shaffer is tons of experience. They makes him smart, and puts him a better choice than St Clair would have been. He has had good moments and some bad, but now he has to prove himself and should spark his best effort. He has a nasty side so it should align him with Olin to add some smack to the offensive running game.
  20. I dont think Duke is a 1st rounder. Maybe the best OG but no more than a 2nd rounder. I have read much on the draft and other than the top 12 players, questions abound about all of them. I think he would still be there with our 2 nd round pick.
  21. I think they would project a WR in rd 3 but doubt if they would rate 2 so closely for valve. I think they will also draft a DE and maybe in the 4th or 5 th go with another WR. Lets say they pick Massaquoi or Gibson for our PWR in rd3 and Wallace/Ole Miss or Knox/AbCris for a speed guy in a later rd. Both are 4.3+.
  22. I agree on those two not being there, and would perfer a different FS in the third.
  23. If we fixed the OL for years to come, I would be ok with that. I dont think you can fix everything in one year anyways. Dont you think Buening will be competing for Garzas spot this year? He was a starter and is 20lbs heavier than Garza. The upgrade may already be on the roster in Buening. The only reason he out in Tampa was an injury and should be fully recovered now.
  24. After more I read, I agree that Johnson and Delmas are the class of the draft, the only reason I put Byrd there is he is rated high, and his dad is on the coaching staff, so I figured they might address the FS with him. Also Mo was a captain of the team and very definitely would be a better choice. Do you think since we signed Schafter, they might have a different thought on who they draft first?
  25. There is a chance a high draft pick may not start right away either. I think the best we can do is bring in a couple of more bodies, perferable high picks and hope it can jell with the other additions. I think the biggest thing is, if the OL is bigger it will make a difference in the running game right away and hope it jells into a better than average line.
