Was just reading that S. Johnson is asking for big money. The other 3 WRs want the #1 money. It will be tough signing one since there old teams will try to keep them. Your talking about 10 mil a year to get one the big 3 or Johnson. Think we will be paying that? Maybe sign Meachen, Royal and a 1st round Wr might be what we are looking at. Good teams dont let good players go with out a fight.
-
I would like to add, they probably (Buf) will tag one of them. so maybe not very realistic.
-
I agree, thats why I think because of his injury issue, D. Bell/Buf/LT could be had at a fair price. Also grab a WR more of the likes of S. Johnson because he wont cost the same as Bowe/Jackson/Colston. I think we can fit them in the budget plus a 2nd tier WR (Royal) then fill our other needs in the draft. CB,DE, another WR, LB depth. We almost have to hit on all our needs to improve this year to a SB contender. Boy that will be tough.
-
I actually think it is more important to go OLT but the options there are slim. Then upgrade at WR for sure.
-
I dont sell myself short, just know sometimes I jump without a lot of developed thought.
-
I think we only have one big pay FA signing, the rest will be 2nd tier signings. I wish we could

thats an interesting website.

I agree, only one big FA signing, what position will it be?
-
this website is run by former pro scouts. foot note Al Toon/wr ranked 7th best WR M. McNutt/ wr ranked 22nd best WR Toon 54th best player in draft McNutt 150th ranked player I guess I am not alone in my opinion, I know they are smarter than me.

#1 Aslton Jeffery/WR #2 Chase Minifield/cb #3a Ryan Miller/OG #3b Lavonte Davis/LB So what do you think. I like the info this website provides.
-
He has all the talent in the world but not the right attitude to take advantage of that. I think a fresh body gives us more going forward than something we already tried.
-
I think Jennings has had some better moments than Bowman, but think we need to add somebody different.
-
I totally agree with you FAgents, not all of your draft. I dont usually agree with you but you hit on this one. Those are all FAs I route for , way to go.I think Johnson will cost more , but not by that much. CB at one is good, I would pick a different WR at two, and then I think we need another OL that can compete, then a DE.

I think this is an interesting site because we all have different opinions. How boring would that be if we all agreed on everthing. As far as I go, I will jump in alot with just ramblings, sometimes just to batter, but have a lot of admiration for Lemonej for his will thought out responses. Others that put alot of thought into blogs are Mad L., and I hate to say it Jason, dont always agree with him, but he does hmework. In saying that , Others have insight and am glad this site is available. I usually jump in at the end of the season because of the I am a big draftnik, during the season I play a lot of FF leagues and dont have that much computer time to spend. I am a long standing Bear fan at the tender age of 59, I am a glass half full type but have to add realism to my responses. If we got everyone we wanted, we would win the super bowl every year, but that just doesnt happen. I dont want to forget, TT, he adds some strong comments. I just want to thank all the people I disagree with.

I think the focus is now on the offense, and we will spend the big money there, I say that with caution because Lovie is still in a power position and he will have a say for defense. I dont think Knox will be back so we need to fill his spot with another second tier WR, Garcon, Meacham, or my choice Eddie Royal. He isnt the best choice but I dont think we have as much money to spend as everybody thinks so he will be a low cost choice, that had a great year with Cutler pitching to him and maybe we could catch lighting in a bottle with him. You list all the needs we have but unfortunatly we wont target LB because of all the other needs we have. Our needs in this order: OLT- goint to be hard to find #1WR- we will get one OL- probably will add someone CB- hopeful someone with talent DE- definate need, but wont be priority #2WR- I think we will add someone LB- we need depth, but to many other needs backupQB- a must but doubt it It would be nice to fill all needs, but dont think that is possible in one off season. Hopefully add 4 players that can contirbute right away.
-
Those would be my first two choices, but would have to add Colston and S. Johnson to the list because teams dont usually let good players go, so all of them wont be available. I think we need to add a second tier FA wr also and a draft choice in one of the first 3 rounds depending on what we do in FAgency. Also another TE, I would like Davis/Redskins, but we probably dont have the money for him, so a later round draft pick than can run.

You are better off with Sanzebacher than Williams, bringing back Williams means our management team has not moved forward and we are in for some of the same.
-
You got me on that one, I did say that. I usually formulate my blogs better than that. This has been a bad week for me. I got back Sunday from Costa Rica(awesome place) and come home to my personal bank accounts closed and having had forgery charges against me , so I havent been myself. I actually think you being on this website makes for an interesting website. You have strong opinions and are right on sometimes and off base on others. I was trying to trash talk with you and blew it. In the future I will give more thought to my responses and still think Toon will be a better pro than McNutt and only time will tell. I am wrong as much as I am right, but this is not a pro scout website, so I think difference of opinions makes for an interesting blog.

How far are the Bears away from being a legit SB contender?

I like your first 3 picks, but think we need a cb higher on the list than a 5th rounder. -

I know you watch more than I do, I catch a couple of games a week and it is always the big ten. I have watched Toon play in 6 games, I am not saying it makes me an expert, but I have formed an opinion, I am wrong a lot, but I also hit once in awhile, only time will tell. Actually I think you are one of the more insightful people on here, but you are not right all the time. Can I get your blue chip list for later comparision. -
When they were in the 2011 championship, If I remember correctly we all thought they would finish below 500% and we wanted everybody fired. I think that was a suprise year. Going into 2012 I thought they had a chance to be good and look where they ended up. We cant take a 7-3 and say look how great they were, they didnt finish. I would say disappointment. point made.

They might both become good pros, but what I said was simple (I think he will be a better pro) 10 different people will have 10 different opinions. You get on here and make all kinds of predictions, sometimes your right and sometimes your WRONG, explain to me how your opinion is more valuable than mine? It is very simple, in a few years the truth will come out and we can brag how we were right, or keep quiet when we were wrong, but for you to say I am insinuating that he is average because I like somebody better, your an idiot, probably a young guy, should I guess your 19? you sure act like it sometimes.

So this is just your opinion, or how long have you been a pro scout? Could you give me your list of blue chips , so in a few years I can praise you or condemn you. -
All we have is our opinions , I gave mine a as you did , only there career will state who is right not Walters football.

Every time we have high expectations with this team, they seem to fall, when we dont think much about them , they suprize us. Every year is different, and I hope they do well, but a lot of things have to fall in place for that to happen.
