Ill pick for Pix since he suggested it and it will help move things along. With the Browns next pick Bernie Wells/RB/OSU (Ohio guy and probably the best RB in the draft to replace Lewis after this year) the next pick belongs to Jason

I feel if a high rated one drops to us at 49 we will take one there, otherwise we go with FS or DE since they need to fix the defense to be successful. So depending on who is there at 3 or 4 will take one there instead. Maybe with one of our 2-5th round picks will grab another one. I also feel they think after the draft will pick up a FA after maybe a few more are cut, so only feel the need to draft one.

Im off work with a new knee so I have alot of free time on my hands, so I can pick for anybody needing me to pick for them. Also am well informed on the draft. So I will pick Lions pick with the 33 pick----------- Alphonso Smith/CB/Wake Forest (They need more beef on the OL but the best player available will play RT and no OGs are worth this pick, so they go with the best CB avaiable)
-
I dont think they will be reaching for any players. They will take the highest reated player on there board that are a FS,DE, or WR. I think that pick will be a suprize to us because someone rated as a 1st round pick will drop to us at that point. Let us say Havin/WR or Johnson/DE or Hood/DT. I think they think the way to win is to redo the defense and that will be there proirity early, unless a high rated WR drops to us. Pressure on the QB and a solid FS are highest on there list and fit the WR somewhere in the first 3 picks.

I think the Bears have a couple WRs to pick at that spot and if they arent there, will go a different direction with the pick. I think if they get there guy they will pick up another body after the draft in FAency but if they have to draft less of a prospect in a later round will go after one of the few top type Wrs in FAgency.

I think we might have an interest for him but not at 2. Probably a 3rd or 4th pick. He may or may not be there then. I have a feeling we will be surprized by the Bears 2nd round pick. Like a 1st rounder dropping down that low and cant pass him up.
-
Actually I think Robiskie gets drafted ahead of Britt and Nicks. If one of them drop to our spot, I would suppose we would take them. If Harivn drops to us in the second, do we take him?
-
I dont know if he will be any good but I do know none of you know either. If we draft him, I hope he does well and some of our opinions were just wrong.
-
I think your right on with one of the 3 WRs dropping to that point, I think Robiskie will be the first of those three off the board. Instead of McBath, insert Clemons/FS/Clemson. Brad Briggs gave a heads up of a great interest that the Bears have. Also I see us drafting a OLB with the 4th or one of the 5th round picks. I think they want to upgrade S LB position.

Since the Titans really would have perfered Nicks, but has to settle for a boom or bust playmaker like Harvin/WR/Florida

I didnt fall out of my chair laughing, but did find it humorous.

I will sight PFW rating of players as an example because they do it for a living instead of a hobby as most mock drafts and information sites do. They rate Delmars/FS as the 37th rated player and Duke is the 51st highest rated player. I would consider FS as more of a need right now than a OG. We have acquired Omilaye and have Buening from last year that are still young and will win the OG jobs. So taking Duke would be nice, but the Bears are not going with a guard or tackle with the 49th spot. If they were rebuilding Duke would be a good pick but after getting Cutler it is going to be about right now, not 3 years from now. By the way Inglesias is the 87th rated player and wouldnt take him at that spot anyways.

By the players available , I would take 2nd-Delmars/FS 3rd-Follett/OLB-Cal 4th-Lewis/OT-TS 5th/a-Melton/DE-Texas 5th/b-Collie/WR-BYU Actually Massaqoui is still there at 3 and draft Williams/OLB at 4 as another option with grabbing Parrish/OT in the 5th.

I think with more O weapons he could be very creative, just hasnt had the opputunity with our team. Good QB, better options, more offensive. I was impressed with him with the fact we got to the Super Bowl a couple of years ago with only one good offensive player, Jones/RB. I know the defense was the key to that year, but still have to have some contributions from an offense to get there.

You actually with your draft breakdown, have picked the best available player at a position we have as a need. According to PFWs big board Delmars is the 37th ranked player, Bryd/FS/Oregon is 47th, and Johnson/FS/Ala is 48th. with the second pick Thomas/WR/ASU is 69th, Ogletree/WR/Vir is 95th, and Collie/WR/BYU is 96th. With the third pick Cadogan/OT/PSU is ranked 78th. You would get great draft valve with Delmas, Thomas, Cadogan and later draft a bigger WR to help. Melton/DE/Texas would possible be avaiable with our first 5th round pick and is ranked the 117th ranked player. Those first 4 picks would address needs and have valve.

This is going slower than expected, but would like to carry it to see who would be available at the Bears pick. We have plenty of time before the draft so at least do the second round.

I only refered to the high horse statement of telling somebody they dont know what there talking about. Depending on what you read you gain lots of different information. I agree with most of your statements. Draft Tek has Martin as the 5th best FS and 84th overall player. PFW doent have him listed in the top ten FSs, or among there 150 best players. GBN has him as the the 5th best FS and the 100th best player. Mass and Martin are both reachs at that point of the draft. IMO I think we should take the highest rated player on the board and hope to hell he is a FS or WR or maybe a DE. Or close to there supposed slot.
-
I wouldnt say your a expert on all of this, as for people that do it for a living cant get it right. We all have opinions and unfortunately it would take a couple of years to prove any of us right. I am not pushing for Mass but there are a few that think he will be a 2nd rounder. PFW has him as the 7th WR and the 49th best player off the big board. I am not saying they are smarter than you but they definitly have more information to go by there predictions than you do. They say the 2 most difficult things for a rookie WR to adjust to is the physicalness of the NFL and the mental adjustment of the game. He may very well be able to handle that, who knows. I do know you and I dont. So the point is get off your high horse, unless your job is a pro scout then I will shut up.

I considered Massoquai a reach in the 3rd round but several informed people have him going in the 2nd round now, so he may no longer be considered a reach there. I want RJ from Bama also, but think he may not be there. Kiper is not at the top of my look for insight lists.
-
I think they probably have a better perception of who can play where. I think tackle spots are more similiar than going from tackle to guard. Although if you a good player you should be able to play anywhere on the line except center.
-
I would see us taking a DE with the 4th round, if any left we have rated high on our board instead of CB, but maybe that is a value pick.
-
I could have an orgasm if we actually got that draft. The only thing i would do different is draft Melton/DE/Texas instead of Veikune. We have interest in him and will fall around the same slot. He is a converted RB that has excellent speed and great upside. Also bigger that Veikune. Also I think Follett would upgrade a position and will turn out to be a long time starter for us. I have read alot about him and it all sounds good.
-
Its hard to say who will be good and will take time to be good, or fail. Its a crap shoot, who ever we draft hopefully he will turn out productive. Out of 12 2nd round picks last year only two did real well, so we will see.
