The deal is we wont be signing 4 top tier players, so you have to get players that are cheaper with upside. I would much rather miss on Roy Williams at his pay as I would Sydney Rice at his price.
-
I think I mentioned this is not my first choices, it is what I think they might do. Royal hasnt did crap since his first year with Cutler, but the idea is to rekindle the relationship with Cutler and hope he can start over again. Robinson only started 4 games and had 54-858-11tds. What is so shitty about those stats as his breakout season? I would like to hear your opinions on what you(realisticly) think we will do.
-
Your right I confused him with Zack Miller, I disagree with you on Randle not being ready for 2 to 3 years. I think he is one of the only WRs coming out of this draft that will cotribute right away.
-
Will LR that is a risk you take but for 1/2 the money Jackson gets. The slot wr in their system was Lance Moore. At 6-4 225 I am not with his size , he would be considered a slot wr, even thou on some of their formations he did line up there. In 86 games he average 5.5 rec. , 14 ypc, 73 ypg, and .52 TDs. He has been consistent except for a few knee issues. I think I would trust him more than Jackson for 2 to 3 mil less.

He could be gone, as well as Floyd at 19, but do you think he is a good enough of a prospect to take at 19? The highest I see him rated is the 28th best player, so strictly from a BPA pick there should be other options to get a blue chip player. Now maybe move down 10 spots and pick us an extra 3rd and draft him, OK. I think he could turn int o a good player, but of the best prospects he is said to need time to develope. I want someone that can make an impact right away and he could not be that guy. As I rate the WRs Blackmon, Floyd, Wright,Randle are the only ones this year that could make a big impact.

With all the shit going down in NOs, would it be interesting if they let Brees go, and signed P. Manning as there new QB. That would be a big distraction to the pending issues that will go down in the south.
-
It wont be a big loss, we have better options and shouldnt be jumping in for a driven price. The Bears werent going to jump on him with out a try out and if he does look good, the competition would have driven the price up anyways. He could be a good addition, but as a 3 or 4 wideout not our #1 focus in FAgency.
-
Concusions could be an issue, but we dont know that right now. Take a chance if others OL upgrades fall thru and base contract on playing time.
-
He could easily be there in the second round leaving us the first round to get a OL or DE.
-
I think what ever offer he gets, he will take back to SD because he would rather stay there. Rivers and the weather have to be attractive if the money is close. So the point is he wont be a quick hit, he will take a week to look over offers and the SD pitch. I think we should shoot for Colston and make a quick hit with him, most teams will be after Jackson and leave us as a first thought for Colston.
-
I am leaning your way now, I wanted him but am thinking for a couple of mil less we can have Colston or 5 mill less Robinson. The problem is not he wont make our team better, but trust isnt there and the money will be 10 to 12 mil. I think we can do a better valve pick for close to same results.
-
I wanted him in a big way, but I think it is a high reward but a high risk. He will command the most money out of all the WRs left, so maybe shoot for Colston for a couple of mil less a year, leaving us room to grab others.
-
I hear he has already talked to the Jets.
-
In his Saints workout he declined to run the 40. So me think speed might not be there if his tryout doesnt include a sprint.
-
It would be best to leave the tag, and do it again next year then move on to younger legs.
-
I dont think Know will make it out of training camp, Sanz will be cut, Hester as the special play guy. I think Royal is a risk but upside potential and cheap. I think they will need to address the WR spot in a big way, because we have played games there and how long will Culter stay if we keep playing Russian Roulette with the same old group. Also a TE that had good days in Oakland but was hurt in Sea., and two new OL to put in the mix to try to get it right.
-
It is getting close to the start of free agency, so lets put it down in a post what we think we will get. I am assuming after Forte we have 22 mil of cap space. rookie pool- 5 mil signing our own free agents-6 to 8 mil Bell,Idonije(DT), Stelz,Jennings,Graham,Okoye L. Robinson/WR/Dal Porter/CB/NO Carlson/TE/Sea Bell/LT/Buf Royal/WR/Den This is not what I prefer but what I think the way they may go as far as positions and players. That leaves us in need a WR,DE, CB,LB,OL, so with this as a start we draft. #1 Mercilus/DE/Ill #2 Randle/WR/LSU #3a Norman/CB/CC #3b Carder/ILB/TCU #4 Jones/OC/Geor #5 Egnew/TE/Miss

He had some injury games in the last two years or his stats would have been among the best in the league.
-
He would be a good second round pickup, but we still need to bring in a couple of FAs to compete this year. Rarely do rookie WRs have big years out of the blocks.
-
I agree with that logic, I dont think Know will play football again, Hester is a special play guy. I would prefer someone else that can be here the length of time Cutler is here. A younger guy. Now if we fall on our face trying to get a #1, then sure, but not our first option for the off season.
-
Ideally it would be Orton, but he will cost you 3 to 4 mil. I dont think we will ty that money up with the back up QB with all our needs. I think we will resign McGown, and have a late round draft pick as third guy.
-
Just because they are interested in signing him doesnt make him great. With Brees he would put up good numbers, but pay attention if somewhere during the year he becomes a head ache. NO has several WR options, we dont. They have a great TE, we dont. It will be easier for him to be better there than he would for us.
-
He is not the studs that A. Johnson, C Johnson, or Fritz but he is a top 10 WR, top 5 in y per catch, tied for 5th in TD passes. I look at great WR over there years, not just one year.
-
According to PFT there is a possiblity that SH could be a cap hit. Old , but could he be Ruben Brown?
-
His cap hit this year is 11.2 mill according to Spotrac. com a stats website. I dont see the Bears tying up 25 to 28 mil at one position. thats almost 25% of the cap for 2 players at DE and with Culters contract coming up in 2014 that wont happen. It all sounds good but the fact is one big contract and 2 or 3 fringe players. Of course if we have 46 mill in cap space then we can have both and Nicks.
