  1. The more I read about him, I have to agree with you. A few websites had him listed as a under tackle, same as A Adams would play, but his stats show he can be a disruptive 3 t. I dont think Williams will be around if we bring in a quality tackle, Omiyale beat him out last year, and Webb showed enough promise to keep developing him. He would have to improve drasticly to start at LT, and I dont think he has it in him. Sims-Walker drops a lot of passes and whines when he doesnt get the ball. Him and Rice both have some down time with injuries, but Rice with a good quarterback will shine, as he did with Brent, Walker will be cheaper, but why did Jauguars get rid of him when they are hurting at WR? I think if we get a stud OG in FAgency that he will be not much less money than Rice would be, and Rice will be a stud with Culter. I think we will take the highest rated DT or OT with that first pick and pick the opposite with the 2nd round. Its possible Watkins could slip to the #2 pick and that would be awesome, or a Boling/Geo and possibly Ijalana/Vill at that spot. What do you think about Alex Linnenholt/Ore State? I think he sounds like a perfect fit to replace Olin in another year and could be had with a 4th or 5th round pick.
  2. I like the positions you took where there took them, but in the second round we need to address a 3 technique tackle, of which Paea is not. Better choices would be Wilkerson/Temple or Austin/NC or Drake Nevis/LSU. One of them will be there. O'Dowd in not a good choice at center. Injury prone, plays to upright, easliy bull rushed. Better choices would be Linnenkohl/Ore state or Kirkpatick/TCU. Both are hard working, leader types, smart players. Will develope into starters at the next level. Walker sucks, we need to sign Rice/Min or Smith/NY. Much better wrs. Would like him to be, not sure Carimi will be there. The top 4 OTs are worthy of being picked that high, but probably wont be there. Sherrod is now being rated more of a early second rounder. If the tackles arent there, I would love to Watkins/TCU/OG. He is nasty and physical, will be a starter till he retires. Could possibly play OT at the next level.
  3. I think they franchise tag him which means 2 first rounders, which wont happen.(Jackson)There is some risk with Rice but he is an attainable asset.
  4. Andy Fantuz instead of Krutz, scewed that one up.
  5. I will assume that they sign a WR in the FAgency as there are many out there, and maybe a OLineman. Ideally Sidney Rice and maybe Deuce Lutui, guard from the Cardinials. Rice is young would be perfect for Cutler. Lutui had a excellent year in 2009 and sucked in 2010. Hes 28 and could come reasonable. I also assume they resign Kruentz for another year or two while we train a new center. That they cut T. Harris. 1) Sherrod/OT/Miss St or Castonzo/OT/BC, one of them should be there. They will play RT as Webb moves over to LT as he has the body for the left, and has improved. 2) Williams/CB/ Tex or Smith/CB/Colo, need a CB to start right away and both are over 6' and project around here in the draft. 3) Austin/DT/NC, because he is a head case, he may drop to the third round. Has all the tools to be a good DT and hopefully the Lovie group changes his attitude. 4) Linnerkhol/C/Ore State, has the leadership qualities and toughness to be groomed to take over for Olin. 5)Lloyd II/MLB/Conn, had injuries in 2009, and missed some of 2010 trying to return to early. Has speed and great upside to be groomed for Urlacher spot in a couple of years. 6) Jackson/FS/Ohio, someone to add to the mix in case Manning leaves. Our OL is rebuilt with Webb-Lutui-Kreuntz-Garza-Sherrod. Omiyale becomes the swing tackle and Williams a backup. Linnenkhol the center in 2 years. We sign Rice and bring in Krutz, Hester goes back to special teams all the time and a trick play guy on Offense. So it will be Rice, Knox, Bennet and Krutz. With Taylor gone, (a mistake) Unga (a big back) becomes Fortes backup with Bell. Defensively we bring in a DT, CB, future relplacement for Urlacker and another body at FS.
  6. everybody looks good on highlight films. I hope this means we feel we have our big WR spot filled, so we dont spend money on Rice or someone else. We can no longer look for bargin WRs or make a KR our #1 , we have to simply go out and get a legit #1. God help us all
  7. Sidney Rice, all the way, young and fights for the ball. Also grab Duece Lutui/OG from Arz. bad year in 2010 but big time in 2009. should have a reasonable contract. We will draft a OLT
  8. I think we need to draft a LT with the first pick, there are several rated as a late first round pick. Nate Solder or Tyron Smith should be there. Also in the 4h round draft Alex Linnenholt/c from Oregon State. A team leader type that can be groomed by keeping Kreutz for one more year. Also in f/a go out and get Duece Lutui/g from Arz. He had a great year in 2009 but a poor year in 2010 on a lousy team. Should be at a reasonable rate. I think is developing enough to be our RT for a long time. Our OL needs new bodies, Cutler wont last another year of pounding. Also in FA go out and get Sindey Rice, hes young and just what Cutler needs to fight for balls in the passing attack. our draft will be: Smith/OT in the first Austin/DT in the second- a character issue but thats why he is there in the 2nd round. we need to take a chance. Lewis/cb/Oregon in the third- tall CB that will fit right in to our Tampa 2 scheme. Linnerholt/OC-already mentioned in the 4th. Summary: We have a new line with Smilth, Lutui, Kruetz, Garza, Webb. Omiyale is our swing tackle. Williams is a backup where he belongs. Rice added to our Wr core will be huge. A new CB and DT will keep our Defense playing ok.

    help

I noticed you live in Loves Park, and Im your neighbor in MP, so I might be able to help you out. I have a dvr but might be able to transfer the games to a dvd, I will have to check that out.
  10. How did crushers get both Rodgers and Cris Johnson, doesnt seem fair.
  11. You won it last year, I think? and get the first pick, you'd you have to blow for that one?
  12. If it hasnt been noted from before, Devildogs-keeper-Ray Rice from the 8th round
  13. Other leagues Im in, trash talking is quite the norm, name the format and Ill be there, I have a werid sense of humor
  14. Cris Williams-6-7 315 Garza-6-2 312 Krutz not large Louis-6-3 304 Omilaye-6-4 314 I think size wise that we are about the same size as we have been for the last few years. Now Webb and Marten are bigger but dont see them starting anytime soon.
  15. I think some people want to use the first round picks as there keeper, and in a keeper league, it might not be fair to not have that choice, but in all fairness everyone loses the first round option, so that should be equal to everyone. I will agree with the 2nd round on for keepers. In one league I am in you only get to keep a keeper from the 6 th round and up, and lose it in the round you picked it in and that works well. Last year I had picker Cris Johnson in the 9th round from the year before, and had the stud for last year. I always project with my latter picks someone that could be good going forward, so later picks seem to work out for me.
  16. I totally agree, I picked 9th last year and finished 2nd(should have won it ). I dont care where I pick, its about being smart enough with who you pick and when that makes it interesting. You cant always goe by professional rankings, that means you would have selected Forte very high and that didnt turn out to well. You just have to inject your opinion into the draft and roll the dice. I thought Ray Rice was going to a breakout year and would have took him higher but everybody selected there running backs earlier and were on to there other positions and knew he would last. The problem with letting everyone pick there slot, is what if two people want the same slot? Then we go deeper into confusion. SO random slotting by the computer. one keeper ( was just trying to over due the 4 keeper vote) to show how ridiculious the keeper rule can be. Keeper for two total years the round before the keeper to lose is ok with me, but that confuses keepers in the first round for those who wanted them. One plahyer is not going to make or break your team
  17. One keeper is more the norm for this type of thing. I have 4 I would like to keep, so I am favor of having 4 keepers and then that would make us a very unique league. the problem is the draft would suck. So to clear everything up, lets just let the league members have there say and be done with it. I am voting for 4 keepers, but my next vote is for ONE,
  18. I perfer one keeper, so it keeps the draft fresh and more interesting. I think you should be able to keep the keeper for the year you picked him and the next year. Otherwise, why have a keeper league, might as well just draft. I perfer losing the round you picked the keeper in to be skipped. If we do the round before, it eliminates the first round and most of the teams have there best player picked in that round if they are any good. What ever we do with the money, just make sure it gets posted now instead of leaving it open.
  19. Im in a lot of FF leagues, and lets just keep it simple. What ever round you had a keeper , you lose that round. You dont have to keep your keeper, you just go back in the draft. I dont care if we go in inverted order or re draw. ( I picked 9th last year and finished 2nd, so the order isnt always the tell tale sing of where you finish)
  20. Im the Devildogs, need to start paying attention to FF
  21. They still need to find someone, hopefully a starter that gets cut from another team because of youth or big contract. At least we might have an option for an upgrade if nothing materializes.
  22. I read this morning Shaffer is getting a look at LG. Maybe that will be the answer.
  23. I have read a ton of info on Wright, and it is conflicting. One says he is a poor open field tackler, one says thats his strength. One he is instinictive, one he is late to the ball. We now have him, so I hope he works out, but fact Lovie and Jerry praise him, probably means he is another SS.
  24. If you can pick him up for not big money, that would add to the mix. I think getting released would put a chip on his shoulder not unlike Ruben Brown.
