No way Poles adds a 25mil salary to this team. He has a good mix of cheap-big contracts and will save money to pay his core players as he goes forward. The Judon add was going to be 14 mil and I doubt he resigned him next year.

The last two trades are upgrades of our depth. Taylor is this yrs Ngakoue. He has some talent and is much cheaper. The last 3 yrs Taylor has 21.5 sacks, in comparision in the last 3 yrs Ngakoue had 23.5 and Sweat had 25.5. You never know when someone takes off or they already reached their peak. Sweat is a complete player as the other options arent great at run defense. Overall we have more upside at DE with a couple young players still have time to grow. (Booker-Hardy). Cris Williams is only here because of an injury to Pickens, Poles is at the point in roster development to have options as he deals with injuries. There is a chance these two pop like the Billings signing did last yr but if they dont, they are cheap acquitions. It appears these two players have high motors where when he signed Ngakoue, he wasnt noted for that. He keeps adding to the culture as well as just adding depth.

Putting another DE in the picture that leaves Walker to play more inside as the third DT. That adds depth to the only two positions that has questions. There is still questions on the OL because of injuries but Poles upgrades the depth this year. Bates, Matt Pryor, Bill Murray, and Kiwan starting to play. The OL isnt great but it wont be bad.

Thanks, when I got Chad to commit to joining, I told him that we werent drafting on the day of his live draft . He wouldnt have joined. I once tried to do a live draft and online draft at the same time and it was difficult.

I thought we were having the draft on September 1 ? I seen the 9-3 date pop up? Chad had his own league and has a live draft on that day. Both of us cant make that date.

In the last 3 yrs with limited playing time he has 23 sacks and 5 FFs. He has only played 33% of snaps average over the last 3 yrs. 58 pressues also

I think Poles drafted Kiran to compete with Braxton and may end up with the better OT. I dont think it changes early. Jones did well but the neck injury may effect his future. If both are good, he could play either one at a OG if he deems it neccesary in the future. He values players that can play several posotions and wants the best 5 on the field.

Billings is the outlier. Its Dexter to NT and Walker to 3 T. or Pickens. They signed a FA Jaylon Huchings so I think they are still looking for the backup to Billings. Not sure if anyone is out there but I think they deem that more need than edge.

Someone making 10.5 mil last year, probably looking for 4 or 5 mil. with incentive. If I was in his position as this time of the season , I would take whatever I could get to get on the field. I think egos get in the way. T j Edwards is a good example, he didnt hold out to try to get big money, he took a fair contract and is playing. Easy to say he could have have got more but didnt want to end up looking for a job like Yannick is.

Poles was in an interview with Hoges and Jahans snd said he wanted his talented young players to get rep. Ngakoue was paid 10.5 mil last yr for 3.5 sack. Jacob Martin can give that at 1.3 mil
