  1. I think the jury is still out for SMC, but am hopeful he turns out positive. I think the possibility exists that next year and beyond we may end up changing to a 3-4. We would need to draft a couple of NTs but I think we have enough depth at LB to be able to play that scheme in the future. I can see Anderson, Greene, SMC, Washington, and fit DJ and Briggs in there somewhere and make that all be better than where we are at right now with all the injuries. I think Wooten, and Peppers(if we keep him) can play the end position. Just throwing out some food for thought after 2 straight losses and just thinking out loud.
  2. I am a sports fan, but the only team I rout for that puts me in a good mood (with a win ) or bad mood (with a loss) are the Bears. I dont really understand it, but I am always hopeful that we win even when the odds arent good for us. That makes me an optimistic Bears fan. I didnt put any money on the game, I know NO is a good team, but that didnt detract from me wanting the Bears to win, I am not sure why any Bear fan questions that attitude towards a game. I can always say, I dont think we can win, and be right most of the time, but there is no fun in being right when my team loses.
  3. I think a better team beat us today and was out coached. What does that make us? We still have a shot at playoffs, other teams that were suppose to be good, arent playing well either. I thought we would be 10-6 or 9-7, some where in there, and I still think that. If we beat the bad teams, and improve as a team, that is all I am hopeful for. If you look at our schedule we should still win 7 games which would put us in a good position. It is all about IF we improve as a team and see where that takes us.

Its a football game not business USA. So would you prefer gloom and doom? Either way you look at it, the Bears lost and I am not as happy as I would be if they won. I am a realist but looking at a glass half full is just a better way to look at things than half empty. When I hit on some chick, I can say I dont have a chance and be alone or I can try and score 3 out of 10. Its all about attitude and effort. Im a plumber and in construction you meet people that you enjoy working with, or you meet people that bitch and complain all the time. I am pretty sure I know what category you fall in.
  5. It is just his nature , unless you throw to him all the time, he will feel slighted. that is one of the characteristics of his mental disorder. He blows things out of proportion in his head and comes up with the whining. It is a triggered reaction to not feeling like he is doing his best. He will have a few moments this year but will be fine,if we keep on winning. If not it could get out of control.(the whining)

We have matchups problems all over the field with there weapons, but what we can do now is potenially keep up with other teams with scoring. Everybody knows what the Saints will do, who there weapons are, but I think where the insight comes in to play with Kromer is he knows the weakness of the Oline and maybe we can exploit that. Keys to the game: pressure Brees to make him uncomfotable in the pocket. we need to get a few turnovers we need to tackle better we need the special teams to get their head out of there ass run well to keep the time of possession in our favor we could blow up very easily against a good team like the Saints, but I think after losing last week we actually get our shit together and play a sound game in all aspects and like I said before, 28-24 Bears win

The problem is other than Peppers our defensive line is undersized, thats why we still keep getting beat up by the run. Wooten is just too small to play lots of reps at DT. Trades are tough to do in mid season especially this early. Most people will wait on there expectations and by then it will be to late to trade someone.

I listen to M. Bennett on the score last nite, he is a real trip, well worth listening too. He will be on tues with Lawrence Holmes on Bears live at 7:00 , check it out. Also they have a sit down on the tribune called 3 downs, with B. Briggs, Steve Rosenblom and two other guys. That chat is worth checking out.
  9. He is just a rich guy , do you honestly think he knows what he is talking about.

We played a lousy game Sunday and with NO coming up, keep in mind. NO has played 3 games at home. There only road game they had trouble beating a lousy team, TB 16-14 There strengths are our weaknesses, Graham and Sporles, but keep in mind we have Kromer on our team now. I think Kromer will give us insight that will help greatly. NO have never played well in Chicago. There are coming off a short week. Teams have been able to run the ball against them, we need to pound the ball and hold the clock. Graham will get his catches but the key to this game is stop Sproles and we will be in good shape. Im an optimist, (what did the optimist say when he jumped off the building? So far so good.) 28-24 take it to the bank. Bears win.
  11. There are some good things that showed up: Peppers is playing better Jefferys is capable of being our #2 WR We showed we still have an offense that can make plays. We kept the best WR in football in check Gould is gold The bad: Interior defense is weak Red zone offense not scoring TDs Paea to 3T and Collins at NT Tillman still hurting the ugly: Cutler being bad Cutler 3rd down efficiency poor tackling ST breakdowns Conclusion: We are a work in progress. I dont think the defense is capable of being great but can still make plays. I think the offense will win some games for us and lose some, we are a flawed team, as many teams are in the NFL. If we can cut down on our turnovers we can compete on offense with anybody but Denver in the NFL. I thought we would be a 10-6 team at the start of the season and make the playoffs. I still think we are in good position to make those goals.
  12. I think part of the problem we had yesterday was moving Paea to 3 tech, and moving Collins to nose tackle. It changed two positions, where as Paea was playing well, now he got put in a position he didnt play well at. We need to leave him at NT and play with the 3 tech position. We weaken two positions instead of just the one.
  13. Cutler played like shit today, relax and don't panic. He was responsable for our three victories and this loss. I will take 3 out of 4 any season. Our poor tackling and poor ST play bothers me more than a lousey game by Cutler. Im intrested in the full season outlook not one bad game. Some of you guys are drama queens, feast or famine. It's NFL football, good teams lose somrtimes, I like the potential of the offense. If any of you guys were asked if we could pick a 3 and 1 record in our first 4 games at the start of the season you would have been elated. RELAX
  14. The thing is if one guy gets in the others head and causes some penalties , will be interesting to see how this turns out. We thought Geno Adkins would be a load and he handled that well. Will be fun to watch.
  15. Just something to talk about will never happen.
  16. As every game, I find this one to be difficult. I think Lions will have there way with our defense, the question is can we keep up with the scoring on offense. Again it will come down to turnovers. Hopefull but not confident.
  17. I am not sure where that is but have a link to (How to make a woman orgasm every time and beg for more) if your interested
  18. Wright's not great, but isnt terrible either. I think if we can resign at a favorable contract, we will stick with him.
  19. Im as big a draftnik as anybody on here, just hasnt crossed my mind this early.
  20. DTs are in short supply, I dont see anybody trading anybody of valve during the season except maybe Cleve, what do they have? They seem to be willing to get rid of anybody.
  21. Wow, were 3-0 and we're talking about the draft?
  22. Stinger226 replied to scs787's topic in Bearstalk
On Spotrac they list his cap hit as his full salary for the next two years as 18+ and 20+. They keep moving money out to the end of his contract to relieve the cap the last few years. It is full salary as a cap hit. It aint happening, he will be here until his contact is gone. You might as well have him here if you have to play him and get what you can out of him. It will cost his money and plus the other players money to replace him and that aint happening.
  23. Stinger226 replied to scs787's topic in Bearstalk
We redid his contract again this year, we are on the hook for his full salary if we cut him next year.
  24. Right now I think the only two teams we wouldnt win with is Denver and Seattle, but the next few weeks will define better which teams are good and just so so .
  25. I think our defense line will show improvement going forward, it is the same group that played well last year. As far as Melton goes, that could be a problem, but I actually think Collins was more effective than Melton has been playing. Going forward I would expect Melton to get back to form which wont happen now. I think our defense will not be great, but if we get some big plays every game, cant expect more than that.
