Is X working now or TV information? My is down right now.
-
I would like that. He's had some big contracts so he might swing a deal our way. We really don't know the extent of people that want to play for Johnson. Still could be a rookie or tim Patrick worked for Ben last year.
-
Yes of course but they haven't did that yet. DJ and JJ contracts has flexibility. I'm all for going for it now but Caleb's contract will be huge in 4 years. I think they keep that in mind with Cap spending.
-
We need 2 DL and 2 OL, I supposed a later OL for development could come later. DTs are strong maybe pick 145 falls to DT. I think Poles adds 2 more picks some how.
-
With effective cap space, we can make one more large signing but unless we redo contracts we don't have enough money right now. I've seen 45 Mil flashed around. That doesn't have rookie pool money subtracted yet. That's 11 mil as of now, trade backs could reduce that. Plus, last year Poles has 7 mil for operating capital. Mack getting 18 mil and if Dalman gets 15 mil, 33 mil which is all we have in Cap space.
-
The first 4 picks need to be trenches and get some trade back picks to get a RB.
-
I predicted no Mack and no Dalman. I suspect Dalman gets a 4 yr 62 mil. To rich for us. Mildly hope I'm wrong but been pushing Evan Brown so might as well not change now.
-
All of that may come true and yes they will bring in a rookie. I think it will be a power back since Johnson runs a 2 back system. That player may get the drivers seat but not sure that's instantly. The proof of purpose will be what round they do that in.

As I wake up, periodically, I'm looking here first for info so stay on top of the TPD . I'll go to bed at. 12 (noon) your time.

IMO, I think Swift will have more value in Johnson's scheme with a better OL. He doesn't have the power Gibbs has but still had some big plays last year and is a good receiver. 959 yards- 6 tds - 3.8 / 42 receptions 386 yds He had a 44% running success rate and 53% receiving success rate. Gibbs 53% R success rate, 56% WR success rate. With a better offense scheme and better OL, he can be almost be as successful as Gibbs.

I forgot what that's like, I've been retired for 8 years but just work part-time when I'm in the USA. Being in Thailand, I actually have to much time on my hands so I take in a lot of football content.

Thanks for the information, Lenoir is a NCB so top money is 17 mil a year. That will change his price but those payments don't start until next year unless they throw some money on this year as a bonus.
-
I usually look at OTC Over the Cap, , I like their design better, but all of those sites have value. They rate his play last year as a 5 mil value but don't project his future values. Ive never compared if they provide the same cap accuracy. Right now they have us 45, 489,070 but effective cap rate is minus rookie pool allowance ( 11 mil) which gives us around 34.5 mil useable cap money. You also have to estimate the in year operating capital. Last year was 7 mil. So we basically have around 27.5 mil to spend.

Agree, PFF is good for comparison but not exact value of players. I've seen high ratings with high penalties and medium sack total. For me I look at penalties, sacks and pressures. If those numbers are good and then see a low PFF score, I ignore. Tape is best for judging. It's just a tool to add to the conversation.

I was trying to find what Nickel CBs make. Moore from Colts is the highest paid nickel at 10 mil a year from what I can find. Signed in 2024 So how much will Gordon get? 4 year 45 Mil extension,24 mil guarantee? He is signed threw 2025 Anyone have any input into this?
-
We brought back Johnathan Ford and Chris Williams. Of course can be cut if they aren't producing but not much money. Roster: Billings, Dexter, Williams, Ford and Pickens. If they draft a couple of DTs, not much room for FAs. I figured one at medium pricing and get rid of Pickens.
-
Hicks was the perfect example. He was in NE went to NO and when he came hear , exploded on to the scene. I get that's rare but sometimes you get surprised. Billings was an above salary player. TJ Edwards was another value signing. I just don't think their paying Mack 20+, or Johnathan Allen 20 mil. More likely Poona Ford for a 1 yr 6 mil type player or Joseph Ossai 8 mil. The biggest question is Dalman coming here,I'm not sure of that while lots of pundits believe it's happening.

Wh Well it's Monday morning ( 12 hours ahead) and I have to wait untill I go to bed to find out what's going on. The one thing I expect is to be surprised. Poles has already did that twice and we are just getting started. All of these projections and someone not expected Will be the story.
-
I look at youth and see can they improve. Most will be like Walker was, 8 sack season and then fall off. Which one gets better? I hope they can figure it out because I surely don't know. Would rather pay for youth potential than old fallen off because of age. I actually would just prefer 3 DL in the draft and let Booker have more development. Free agency is always overpriced.
-
Zadarius Smith is now available as a late free agent option.1 yr 6 mil ? I think we have one more big signing and then wait until 2 tier free agents get signed for less money. Because of abundance, we still can get contributors in the DL.
-
All these big contracts affect the price. 12.5 to 15 mil. I don't think he's worth it. I think a player like Evan Brown at half the cost is just a notch below Dalman and plays healthy. I expect us to draft the center of the future so he's a gap player. He can play guard and center. Played with Johnson for 2 yrs in Detroit. Zabel - Mbow - Wilson could be ready next year and you have good depth with Brown. I have read Dalman is not a good fit for our OL scheme but I don't know who's right or wrong, Johnson will.
-
I just listened to a podcast and heard that Joshua Grey/OG played for one of our new OL coaches last year. He was the best OL at the Shrine game stated by Eric Edholm. He is listed as the 193 ranked player in the draft. Expect us to draft him at 145. Guard or potential center.
-
My 3 favorite DTs are Harmon, Kenneth Grant and TJ Sanders. Harmon and Grant probably go first round.
-
I expect one more but , we have between 30 and 35 mil effective cap space and about 15 roster spots left to fill.
-
Keep seeing trade proposals and DL possibly signings. Bosa, Mack, Hendrickson, Landry. Sign someone that isn't a trade. Mack, Landry, Sweat. If we're going to pay 20 mil get Sweat that is young. I'm not sure Mack's giving you 10+ anymore. Sweat can contribute for 3 or 4 years. Prefer something like that.
