Come on Terra, if you hate the Bears, find another team to beat up on...seriously.
-
Give it a bit of time Alaskan....I hear what you are saying, but let's see. I hope you are well, and not too cold in that wilderness you reside. Come to England! It is nice here...
-
Exactly, and have no guidance from any real leaders, with Tillman and Url gone and Briggs being his worthless self....I am not that worried about Conte, or Wright, given guidance, I am sure they can do the job, if the rest of the D is doing it's job and we have one or two leaders on the field that can give some guidance.
-
I hope this happens, I would love to see Tillman only play in a Bears uniform! I think he could be a quality contributor if his health holds up...
-
I don't think safety was our biggest weakness, I believe D Line was, leaving our safeties trying to cover all day due to no pressure. I don't think we get worse this year at all on Dline with Houston coming in, Collins back, and maybe Melton as well as possible one or two draft picks high up that will help.

Certainly is a very impressive sounding man, I am glad that he is a Bear! I hope he can stay healthy and retire a Bear, he looks well worthy.
-
Love that avatar Stinger....just saying.
-
Amen! On a personal level, I would be happy to see him go, almost as much as I will feel bad if Tillman leaves.
-
Appears that you are right, if so, good for McNown, bad for us....best wishes to McNown either way, a stand-up guy who deserves whatever money he can get.
-
Amen, I hope the comment was an isolated one taken out of context but if it was any indication of his outlook.....bye bye.

I am not sure if you are referring to the last contract that he refused to sign, which appeared to be more than any other team wanted to provide, but I was referring to previous contracts which if my memory serves he got all the money he could....which equates to no loyalty, all business. So, when the Bears treat him, and Hester, the same, then it is a problem? If nothing else, the Bears may have overpaid him the last few years of his contract. I agree entirely on Hester, 100% class all the way thus far, and I hate to see him go. But business is business, and he has made a handsome amount of money from the Bears. Url is another story entirely...no loyalty, no class IMO.....
-
You would never know how much Url, and Hester for that matter, have been paid through the years from Ulracher's comments...and Url never gave any kind of hometown discount as far as I can remember. No class whatsoever.

Thank you!!!!!!!

Just so you are aware, I am not racist nor would I agree with anyone who was...not because it is the politically correct view, but because it is what I think is right. Take good care!

Hi Guys, I am going to weigh in quickly on this one only because I love the board. And the Bears. I have been away for a bit due to personal issues, which will likely continue.... Regardless, at the risk of sounding trite, please, let's be respectful and courteous. I am not saying anyone is not....and I have no wish to get into any kind of slagging contest on the net. That is my vote, let's all try to be kind. And remember, we are all friends here....at least I hope so. I consider this a friendly place, lets keep it that way.

I have to agree with some others about Lovie vs Trestmann, but as Alaska said, that is what I believe not a surety of what will happen...which despite the amount of statistics and theoretical ideas that can be given, is all any of us have to offer in the end, albeit some definitely know more than others. And I am quite aware I know less than many others here.....which is why I love coming here and learning about football and hearing views about my beloved Bears. What I really don't like is the personal attacks and vile unnecessary comments....do we have to resort to name calling when we don't agree? I am just asking, for what it is worth, to keep the site free of personal attacks. I have a feeling if we were all together in the flesh, without the barriers of the net, we would likely have a great time and have a good beer or two...or 10. Let's try to have it that way here! Take care all! Life is too short for bad feelings.
-
That is cause us older guys actually have a few brains...haha.
-
Perhaps you are right, but in my view Jay has been his own worst enemy at times, particularly in the past....and only a very naive fan is going to call for Jay to be cut based on minor issues.
-
i would hope Jay would benefit as well, and would be wholeheartedly in favour... If Jay has something to hide...let's see it! Regardless, I want to know as much about the Bears as possible.

The article makes for an interesting read and has some good points. What I would question is the fundamental decision to keep the old style defence. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but IF Tucker had something better to offer it would have been better if he had been able to put his own system in and make the players perform within this system. The players should not be making decisions, either directly or indirectly, about the direction of the team, and need to remember that they play on a team and need to follow directions. If they can't, whoever that might be, they need to go. I particularly feel the comments the author made about Lovie's defence are true; it was a good but not great defence and I never cared for the passive nature of it....it never suited the Bears at all IMO. We need an aggressive style defence....could we get one of Buddy's people back on board? Buddy would adapt to the offences now if he were here and aggression came be formed in many ways. And I am pleased to say that I believe in the coaching and management structure right now and am confident they will do the right things...and if they don't, they better BEWARE, because Bears fans are watching. BEAR DOWN!
-
I love Peanut and wish nothing more than for him to retire a Bear...he is my next jersey buy! I am sure at the very least he can play safety for us, and I believe he has another year or two of CB possibly as well....
-
A personal matter for a home game against the Packers which will determine whether we get in the playoffs? That better be one hell of a personal matter!
-
Makes sense….
-
Would be interesting to hear what Trestmann would say.
-
I would be having a hard look at Tucker and if he doesn't seem feasible, would have a good hard look at Frazier if he would be willing to move down a step to D Coach….but then, how about Lovie as D Coach? Or Marinelli? Of course, Ryan would be great too. It might be time to dump Tucker….
