  1. Urlacher fit DJ's scheme a lot better with mammoths in front of him keeping blockers off allowing him to run sideline to sideline. While U-Boat has been unreal in the Cover-2, he mostly just turns around and runs backwards in it. Urlacher would have been brilliant in any scheme.
  2. Ummmm no. No we don't. Sure the OL was bad when he got here, but it still is. Its really bad.
  3. For whatever reason Webb has done quite well against Allen....which is high praise against one of the best DEs around. It is almost like a hitter v pitcher matchup in baseball...sometimes you just own a guy. While I don't feel Allen got owned (I don't know that he'll ever get owned) Webb certainly handled him today.
  4. Agreed. The biggest worry right now is how bad Cut's concussion was. If that "illegal forward pass" was overturned and it should have.....that game could have been very different last night. I also feel had the Bears had Cut for the 2nd Half they win the game. If Cutler turns out to be fine, the Bears will be fine as our defense still housed Houston.
  5. If we were his agent we'd be looking for no less than 4yr/18mil......just my .02.
  6. I started a Tim Jennings appreciation thread a few weeks ago and two other threads have been dedicated to him since. APPRECIATES!
  7. This. Who wouldn't be gun shy or rush things after they're getting rocked every play. The analysis is still very good, though.
  8. Don't make this any more complicated than it is..... That was an INT. There. Done.

    Tim Jennings

This needed to be done. The past three games has been the best 3 game span a CB has had in Chicago since Donnell Woolford. His coverage has been fantastic and he has blown up a few screen plays here and there with his physicality. Out of the Bears six picks, Jennings has four of them and batted the other two into picks. *Appreciates*
  10. I also noticed that and liked it very much. I believe SMC will be a hell of a ball player in time and I like the pick more and more each week. He has another gear to him and just never stops going. Izzy is a perfect example for SMC to follow as it took Izzy years to become the DE that he's become in this system. I understand some people may be a little upset about SMC needing time to grow and needing a special package here and there as he isn't an every down DE just yet- but his potential is undeniable to me and I see what the Bears saw in him.
  11. They'll need Tillman's size against Jennings and Nelson....I do however have a lot of confidence in Jennings and Hayden, though.

    Forte unhappy?

Agreed- I don't believe this to be a huge issue as he never said much about this LAST year as it went on when Marion was the short yardage guy. Unless Bush is getting stuffed on short yardage or at the goal maybe I'll listen to Forte on this.........but until then he needs to stop talking.

    Winslow cut

I'm sorry but I think Rodriguez can ball.
  14. So did I. Mainly because its basically what Williams did!
  15. I'd imagine D1 refs aren't interested as it is looked at as only a temporary position, but that's only speculation on my part.
  16. Trade Megatrong or Fitz for a RB or two. You can't win in fantasy football without multiple solid RBs throughout the year....especially if one goes down, which Gore probably will at some point. RBs can always get their own usually no matter what. WRs need QBs to get theirs and we all know how often QBs get hurt.
  17. I agree and I'm almost positive they will. Rodriguez reminds me of a more physical Chris Cooley.......this guy can play and I now love him in the 4th Round.
  18. Your love affair with Chris Williams has gotten old....but I agree he isn't expensive at just $1MIL this year. I'd rather just have him as a backup G, let Brown be the backup swing T and cut Spencer who makes $2.25MIL this year.
  19. If Spencer doesn't start he'd better be cut making 2.25mil this year.
  20. This. I'm not that high on Bell, but I'm not that low on him, either. My guess is Bell's agent tested the waters a bit and knows someone will give him closer to #2 money.
  21. I agree. However, I still feel as if Webb has more potential than Williams does....but that's not saying a lot. I do feel Webb has the edge somehow going into Friday night's game, but we'll see. I also feel like Williams still has a shot at the job.
  22. It's subjective, but I've always believed Urlacher to be better suited under the Jauron regime when they let him roam and play sideline to sideline. The design was to have to monster DTs in front of him (Washington and Traylor) and allow those DTs to keep blockers off of him and freeing him up to make plays in the process. The Cover 2 just has Urlacher back pedal and run backwards more often than not IMO. The DTs just attempt to play their gaps and get up field in this scheme. Yeah they don't play Cover 2 hardly ever.....but they play a ton of zone, which drives me crazy.
  23. Good luck to him and his family.
