I was pissed at that as well but the point is when we tagged Briggs as franschise, he didn't HAVE TO sign that multi-year deal. Now on the flip side, who knows what JA told him in the negotiations. JA could've said "we'll revisit this for a raise and extension after X-amount of years". Who knows, but this is not the time to bring it up. We have 1 contract dispute already (Forte) which I pray gets resolved. We don't need another 2 weeks away from the season kickoff. Just bad timing IMO. He could've brought this up in the offseason or wait for the next one. I think he knows the cap space and wants a bigger slice of the pie. Can't blame him for wanting to get richer, but the timing is piss-poor.

The field has been in shit condition since they took the astroturf away. Ridliculous amount of money paid for sod. Paying for the synthetic would pay for it self after 2 go arounds with replacing the sod.

I agree Grizz. We gotta keep Forte even though a CJ-Barber backfield a nice thought with the speed, then the power, but Forte is just as proven and I like that he's healthy and able to hold the ball. Not to mention the fact that Forte's number would be more comparable if the line was worth a shyt last year.

When we, and I'm sometimes guilty of it as well, sit there and act like those mistakes can't be overcome is what pisses me off. Preseason doesn't count and neither do the players we didn't draft, sign, or trade for. Everyone is starting the 'what if' crap again. What if we traded for Mays? What if we didn't sign Williams? Would Terra finally be happy with his performance even though it was Webb who didn't pick up the oldest gorilla who happened to get get first crack at Jay's crack? I know it was hard with the time. It's mostly guys stationed with me in Turkey. Got a decent squad out of it and the names in my league are ridiculous.

I don't think we'll get that high of pick if any for Taylor given his YPC. I think we're gonna cut him anyway and AZ would just pick him off the scrap heap. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get something for him though. We won't get anything higher than a 6th rounder for him.
