  1. Cheapen it my ass. A Super Bowl win is a Super Bowl win. If we win the Super Bowl, does it matter that we beat the Seahawks/Packers/Falcons and whoever the AFC representative is? NO. If we win the Super Bowl, how many other teams can say that they won this year's Super Bowl? Answer just us!!! It is irrelevant who we play to get there, the job is to get there by beating whoever gets in our way. If you want to say we should have played better teams in the playoffs, then the better teams should have won their playoff games or made it to the playoffs for that matter. Then this discussion would be valid. Who would you rather play? The Saints who stunk the joint up or the Eagles who lost their game? Would that justify a Super Bowl win. If so, then maybe they should have won instead of losing to the unworthy teams. If going from June all the way to February and winning the Super Bowl is cheapened because we were healthy, earned the record to get the bye, beat two teams that earned a spot in the playoffs, then do me a favor, don't watch the game if we make it. I wouldn't want you to waste your time on 3 hours of a cheapened Bears Super Bowl. We earned everything we've done this season. The other teams did what they had to do to get in the playoffs.
  2. It must be lonely being in the JA fan club. You said "It isn't Angelo's goal to get great picks with every pick" I say: Why the hell does he have the job if he's going to half ass it? No one here is taking the picks out of context. This is not baseball where you are successful if you fail 7 out of 10 times which is what he has done in the first three rounds of his tenure...8/26 (Olsen, Harris, Forte, Manning, Hester, Tillman, Bennett, and Briggs) Your job is to find the best TALENT to fill the positions...not just FILL the position. He is a bad judge of talent, this in turn causes us to spend even more on free agency because he misses in the draft. I'm sure JA will send you a Christmas Card next year for having his back.
  3. But we won and we're in. What if worms had machine guns...birds wouldn't f**k with them.
  4. And Tavaris Jackson is their starter...not too worried.
  5. I want Seattle. Week 6 consisted of Martz calling an insane amount of pass plays and us only running 15 or so plays the entire game. Cutler had 39 pass attempts that game. When have we EVER rooted for GB?...It's ironic but I think GB wins and we get the SheHawks next week. Our coaching staff has been too good the last 10 weeks of the season to continue the Week 17 play calling.
  6. JA didn't pick Urlacher or Terrell. His first 1st rounder was Columbo.
  7. He was but he was too fast for the camera....
  8. Chico will be the next ex to coach
  9. For every Lance Briggs there is a Michael Haynes. Marc Columbo, Roe Williams, Mark Bradley...because his Drafts haven't panned out, we've had to exercise even more money on FA's. Archuleta, Manumaleuna, Pace, Taylor...yes Peppers is great but still...Angelo is a Jackass
  10. I think we could have gotten better value for our dollar if we bought a ball bag instead of Taylor. The bag would have had a better YPC. Manumaleuna is flat out stealing a check every Sunday. Charles Woodson made him look like a 2nd grader out there last week. I would consider cutting our losses with both of them and rebuild in the draft...of course after Angelo resigns for sucking.
  11. I totally agree. How many points has Ray Guy put up? Steve Tasker? Hester creates scoring opportunities every time he steps on the field as a returner. Whether he takes it himself or the opposition kicks it short or out of bounds to keep it away from him. He is our field position. He impacts the game more than any other facet of our team.
  12. JA=JackAss Far too many haven't panned out than have. He has made some horrible moves. Bad contracts, bad signing, horrible draft choices.
  13. Totally agree. If you don't like the thread, don't read it. If you do read it, appreciate it and don't ride the poster...It's not like were getting link to the Pau Gasol trade from 3 years ago or link to throwback jerseys that have been out for 3 months.
  14. As bad as we have looked in 2 of our losses (NYG and GB), we were still in both games. vs NYG - 9 sacks in the 1st half yet we were only down 3-0 at the half vs GB - 6 sacks and an Offensive Offense and we only lost 10-3 Even vs Dallas when we got our asses handed to us on the first couple of series, we buckled down, adjusted, and got the win. I am very optimistic going into the playoffs. Our Defense is playing well, even if we didn't get the pressure on Rodgers we wanted, we still held them to 10. I am going to say something that I hope I won't regret...I have faith in Martz, Tice, and Lovie to fix the problems that occured against GB. I believe our line play will be better than average, more running plays will be called, and I believe Knox will get open more. Bottom line is this, Gentlemen, we have a chance to win. Anything can happen and the first step is getting in the playoffs and we are there and we'll be at home. Like Lith said in his thread, we can beat any team in the NFC. No teams stand out as an overwhelming matchup for us. Seahawks- Let's face it we owe them one. A playoff atmoshpere is a lot different than a Week 6 one. Plus Martz is smarter since Week 6 Packers- We've had our way with them for a while now and we owe them one too Eagles- We control Vick. Saints- Being outside will slow them down considerably and they aren't nearly as dominant as last year Falcons- Lovie needs to take this game personal. Remember his poor decision making a few years back? He needs to remember. Let's win this f'n thing, whatcha say, guys?
  15. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=5985271 Best single season return average at 17.1. Congrats Devin.
  16. Dear Lovie and crew, Start watching film on New Orleans!!!! Stop the pressure!!!
  17. But he strikes out more than not. Jarron Gilbert and Juaquin Iglesias were both top picks that year for us. Granted 3rd rounders, but come on, there are still great players that get drafted in the late round and that's what GM's get paid for.
  18. Another example of how bad JA's drafting skills are in evaluating talent.
  19. If worse comes to worse, all the Catholics caqn give up their resolutions for Lent!!!
  20. Thanks Lith!!!...Gonna see if I can bust out a Giordano's in Turkey...lol
  21. Thanks Noots...but the score is backwards...I hope your wrong too
