I agree with #9 the most. In his first two years (Super Bowl anyone?), Hester was the most exciting special teams player there has ever been. Now that he has to focus on being a receiver, his special teams numbers are down. There is no way that he would ever go back to being just a special teams player, though. He would be furious and likely thinks he can cut it if he had an offensive line to protect Cutler.
Still another game with the Packers and Lions each, two teams the Bears have already lost to which leaves little room for error. It is so important to get early wins in the NFL, ugly or pretty, 1 point or 3 touchdowns, winning is winning.
As a Bengals fan let me say that if I were a season ticket holder and my team decides to play a game in Toronto or London, whatever have you, I would be furious. Only 8 games a year at home and they are too worried about internationalizing the game. There is clearly a following but make those people come here to see the teams! We all saw how well NFL Europe worked out.
I don't remember which analyst said this, may have been Bill Cowher or Herm Edwards but he says players these days lack solid tackling fundamentals. They just want to deliver the big hit which the NFL is cutting down on.
Vikings are poopy this year. I say their ultimatum should be a winning season = new stadium. lol.
On any given day though, the Bears could lose to the Vikings and turn around and beat the Packers by 2 touchdowns.
Why would the Bears need an elite receiver when Cutler is getting smacked every single play? The receiver would never get the ball The Bears need an elite offensive lineman. A Michael Oher, a Max Starks, an Evan Mathis. This team prides itself on its defense and has proven time and time again that they can win with an elite special teams and defense.
