This really comes down to, Pace & Fox don't want to go with a total unknown at QB, which would have been crap in yr 1. There was no legitimate upgrade for Jay who could step in next year on a team which contends. I don't think they are banking their future on Jay, they just know that if they went another direction, we are talking about a 2 win football team. If we were sitting with the top pick in the draft, I'm guessing the answer would have been different and Jay would be somewhere else. I don't think this means we won't be considering drafting a QB though. Everything was about Jay being our QB for 2015.

I agree they aren't round 1 needs, but if you are looking BPA, hard to argue Cooper. I don't think Collins is at all worthy of the #7 pick. Way I see it, this is a couple year rebuild so we shouldn't be short-sighted on who we pick. All that said, with Cutler as our QB, we could potentially contend. I wouldn't have said that if we went with any of the other realistic QB options. We would have been guaranteed to be awful had we got rid of Jay (which I'd have been okay with as long as we could execute on the plan). That said, its always a little more fun to know we at least have a shot of being relevant / decent before the season starts.

Supposedly the Bears have targeted him as being a high priority signing. They liked what they saw on film. That was reported by Lemming a day or two ago.

It sounds like Royal might have signed. Rolle seemed to be indicating via some tweets he was coming, but who knows. I like the more prudent approach Bears seem to be taking. They also seem very focused on the quality and character of the players they are bringing in.

End result was Rams got the better QB and better draft picks (including a 2nd rounder next year). I don't understand this one. I am not a Foles fan by any stretch but I'd rather have him than Bradford.

Isn't only McPhee confirmed to be coming? I thought all of the others were still open?
