Echo your sentiments. Plus its training camp...a lot of picks get thrown by all QB's.

Reportedly needs surgery on his hamstring. Given our lack of depth at the CB position, this is a big blow. On the bright side, Frey apparently has been having a great training camp. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,0,324278.story

Awesome.

Hopefully DJ is okay. Even if Bostic steps up and takes the starting job (which would be great if he earns it), DJ is fully capable of playing on the outside and provides the Bears with a lot of depth.

Wow...if Lacy doesn't pan out thats great for the Bears because the Packers with a running attack are one scary offense.

Great stuff Brian!

This staff has no allegiance to Webb. If Webb doesn't earn the job, he won't play. And I'm not about to complain after a few days of training camp. My main concern is a healthy camp and the offense coming together.

Idonjie would sure look good right now. But the high character guy went to the Lions for barely any more then what we offered Ellis.

I'm also irritated at how stupid we were with Idonjie. We are pretty thin on the line and Israel is a good type of guy to have from a depth perspective. Now we are stuck hoping that everyone stays healthy and that Paea and Shea take big steps forward. Our line is thin.

I don't like it. I still don't know if I like Emery. This year will say a lot and i'm curious how his draft picks progress.

I'd love it.

I always liked him for whatever reason.

Didn't he play almost every game in college? Either way this is just sickening.

Excellent to hear!

Mills will not be the opening day start at RT. Only way that happens is if our other tackles are hurt. Not a knock on him, but 5th round picks don't typically start the 1st game of the season.

Agreed. I really like this pick.

I really wanted Arthur Brown...at least they got the positions right. G and LB were both major needs.

That is a great mock.

You got me. I believed it.

First mention I've seen on Bears ever having discusions with Cutler on an extension. Throwing out a 15M/yr extension prior to Trestman's arrival.

With the talent and players this team has, this absolutely can't be seen as a rebuilding year. Midway through last season we were considered one of the best teams in the league. Anything other then playoffs and playoff wins is going to be a dissapointment in my mind.

I find it more likely that the Bears would draft a speed receiver early then a TE like Eifert.

He fills a major need but I still think G and LB are our top needs. Guard being the greatest of needs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them go DT if one were there that they really liked. Who knows what their long-term plans for Melton are. I think all of the other positions previously mentioned are far more likely though.

Lots of really good moves over the past 7 days. I like this a lot more then Emery's previous offseason. I hope I like Emery's draft a lot more too.
