1st and 2nd is today.

Isn't he like a midget?
-
Makes sense. If I'm New Orleans I add a big rb later in this draft that can handle the majority of the workload. Jenkins could turn into a really good player and the Saints have an awful secondary.
-
McDaniels rubs me the wrong way. He might be super smart but I think he's ultra cocky and that this whole McDaniels experiment will fail miserably.
-
Saints will make a dumb pick here and ignore there defense just like Denver did and take Beanie Wells. I'm calling it right now
-
Wow, great for teh Skins. My good buddy thats a diehard Bronco fan is literally crying right now. What an awful pick. I'm not a fan of Moreno though, just doesn't appear to have the ability to be a great RB, solid sure, but great, I don't think so.
-
Wow, Broncos took Moreno. I was pretty convinced that Texas DE was going to go.
-
Does San Fran taking a WR hurt the Bears shots, since no one really expected the Niners to go WR here.
-
Definately, Crabtree goes right here.
-
Haha, I'm blind.
-
Pix, do you have the chat link? I'll get it posted.

Well I was the fool that drafted him #1 overall in our mock, haha, so I love Sanchez. I would have wanted the Bears to move up to get him. I love Cutler though too...afterall I'm wearing my Cutler jersey right now as I listen to the radio since I'm putting in my direct tv today. Surprised Darius Heyward Bay goes this early.
-
Well they got a first rounder in return, so basically they gave up a 2nd round pick to get a QB. Thats a steal for the Jets, imo, a steal. Especially given where they were picking. The players given out, one was a restricted FA, one is a random practically undrafted QB and than another the Jets wanted nothing to do with anyway.
-
Jets moving up for Sanchez.

Bada Bing Bada Boom!!! Beardown!

That is too much to offer. It would be one thing if it was like in baseball and moving Hester was basically removing his entire contracts from your books but I don't believe it really works that way. However, if it was Hester and a 4th or something like that I'd do it. Thats tough though to give up Hester and a high pick.
-
The thing that scares me is the financial rammifications and the fact that Boldin is very injury prone. I still would rally behind the move but at the same time historically speaking you can get burned by trading away too many picks because they are a cheap way to find needs and bring in youth which is a key in the NFL where players have such short NFL careers.
-
I go Nicks, MJohnson and if neither are there have no problem taking best safety on the board (or moving down) and than drafting Wallace.
-
I'm installing direct tv in the morning after a million years of cable. Cable finally pissed me off (I have been an avid cable supporter for years) and in this economy I'm getting a lot of money up front to switch ($350 from DirecTV and than another 175 from ATT). And than my monthly services are also significantly cheaper. Only crappy part was that I have a few HD TV's so I had some upfront costs associated with that, but with the amount I'll save I'm going to buy me NFL Sunday Ticket SuperFan and put my buddies in charge of food and drinks every Sunday at my place. So if all goes well, I'll be watching the draft at my house for a bit before going to a draft party at another persons house. But most importantly, I'll be getting set up to watch all my Bears games and Sox games in HD.
-
Get Johnson and Wallace in the next round and I'd be thrilled. Both could bust out, but you could be getting two impact players at need positions.
-
I'd love a FS or DE and than Wallace at 99. This Wallace guy has the potential to be special. Sure he also has the potnetial to be a bust, but he could be one of those guys that turns into a hell of a player.
-
I would rather have a young LB like Lauranatis plus Bolden than Urlacher and Boldin. Financially its smarter, age wise its smarter, etc. However, I do see your point.
-
Cutler is the franchise guy now. Getting him Boldin benefits him and if it allows you to hold onto your 2nd round draft pick you do it, imo. Boldin >>> Urlacher to the Bears for the next 5 years. If in fact you blame the scheme for Urlachers struggles than I ask you, is the scheme changing? Lovie is running the same defense Babich did. The play calling will be different but the scheme, very much the same. Urlacher is slower, less strong, etc, and as a guy who fundementally was never the greatest linebacker (ie, he relied heavily on his pure athletism), the writing is on the wall that he won't be that productive player in his thirties, imo.
-
I stil think you start the package at Urlacher and a lower round pick and than use your 2nd rounder on a LB. This is a deep LB draft and I like the Bears depth at the position. Plus our window was extended when we got Cutler so moving a guy like Urlacher whose at the tail end of his career flat out makes sense.

It goes back to my belief that the Bears might trade down. I like this guys measurables and given that there really isn't a sure thing out there and that all of the guys available have potential flaws getting an extra pick plus a guy that has awesome measurables could be the right plan. Plus having a guy like Cutler can really help get the most out of someone with good measurables.
