Fantastic...damn did Turner have a very creative gameplan today.

Peterson did a really nice job. I think we are going to see more of him since he's a bit different than Jones. I'm very curious as to why Bennett/Lloyd aren't playing (Lloyd getting limited snaps and Bennett inactive). Give the freakin WR's a chance cause I"m sick of seeing these guys get no chance only to eventually go elsewhere and be productive.

Anderson had a better push but he still takes really bad angles. Briggs was ridiculous again today. What the hell is up with Urlacher, he made a couple plays but he also missed a chunk of tackles.

I don't quite think the Vikings are going to score on every drive, but who knows. I think the Bears match up well against the Vikings. Its Green Bay that we match up horribly against.

Orton looked very good in the first half and in the second half he looked a lot like Grossman. He was throwing off his back foot, but the Bears were also running a very vanilla offense trying to run out the clock. That pass to Hester early in the game for 28 yards or so was beautiful. Also, you could definately see Orton is still bothered by that ankle. The good news is it keeps getting better and he hasn't re-injured it yet. As that ankle gets better, so will his accuracy as he'll have much improved footwork. He also has the worse WR corps in the NFL to work with.

I swear, if the Bears can't get a pass rush against the Rams...well the entire dline should just quit.

The Bears have too much money tied into Lovie and there is no way they are going to just fire him. Plus the perception around the league among players is still very high when it comes to Lovie and that has to be worth something. I bitch and moan a lot about our coaching staff but I can't forget all the good things the Bears have done with Lovie at the helm. He's made some mistakes and the team has gone backwards but I still think there is a foundation here to win and Lovie just has to learn from his mistakes and I believe he's going to at least get a chance to show that he can learn from those mistakes.

I also want to know why we aren't seeing Bennet out there. I don't give two shits, the Bears have seen a bunch of WR's leave here and produce so its time we just give the freakin young WR's some time, especially since Booker blows (He has no step whatsoever). Solid vet presence and for a key situation I don't mind having him out there but for the most part his time has passed

Vasher isn't a shock, I still think he'd be best suited as a free safety playing next to a very strong tackling strong safety. He's a ball-hawk and plays well in space but as a corner he's lost it for the time being. I hadn't noticed Dusty until late but I'm guessing he's completely out of gas being that its been a couple seasons since he played a full year and that was in the college ranks. He looked like a really good prospect early in the season, but has definately slowed down. It's time we start leaning more and more on the vets like Adams and another youngster Harrison (who looks really good to me, imo). I didn't think about it, but if Dusty is playing that bad it could be a reason why Urlacher has tended to dissapear.

The Bears coaching staff has done a poor job in general generating a pass rush and it doesn't shock me that they are miss utilizing Anderson. Anderson should be in on all "passing" downs, no iffs and ors butts about it. If it isn't a passing down, than his ass shouldn't be out there unless he's giving Adewale or Brown a breather.

The move was necessary at the time. Williams was still hurt and the Bears obviously needed to have someone who could step in if St. Clair struggled or got hurt.

Schedule the next two weeks lines up alright given that the Vikes have suspension coming up and the Rams are really beat up. Gotta take care of business this Sunday and put this past weeks disaster behind us. Pretty sad that this Packer game happens two weeks removed from a bye week (following a tough loss to the Titans).

Would anyone else consider makinga run at Peppers? I'd like him if you could get him to play at his potential but the Bears have so much money tied up on the defensive side of the football that I doubt it makes sense. I expect the Bears to take an end in the first round.

This might have been the only bad game Turner has had all season and as a whole he easily gets a B to B+ grade as the OC and if you factor in the absolute lack of talent I might just bump that grade into the A- game. Last year Turner was awful but the other two years he's done a pretty darn good job so I don't see the reason for people to berate Ron. Orton was also hobbled and rusty (lack of practice definately effected him) and the total lack of WR's really hurt the team yesterday (something I've long bitched and moaned about).

I hope Hester is benched. I also hope the Bears stop throwing slants Hesters way because he can't catch shit.

It's a huge problem. Payne and Brown are the same player, both are liabilities in pass coverage yet strong in the ground game. I'd personally move Vasher back to a safety position and let him kind of be a ball-hawk type of safety (yep, not Tillman because he's our best cover corner). The one weakness having Vasher back there would be his lack of tackling ability but with one of Brown/Payne as the other safeties I could live with Vasher because the pass coverage should significantly improve.

It will be Marinelli. Marinelli has a lot better track record than Babich ever did. Just get me someone that isn't afraid to blitz or do something when you can't get any freakin pass rush.

The lack of emotion was the most pathetic part. You are playing your division rivals when you know damn well how important the game is (3 way tie for 1st and we know only one team is coming out of the North division this year). Absolutely pathetic. I fully believe its time for Lovie to fire Babich or reduce his role and take over for the remainder of the season. A statement needs to be made and a non move would be a statement that Lovie should get fired too because I believe your coach is doomed once he's forced to fire his assistants (ie, he still wants Babich but Angelo forces that Babich gets axed).

Nick Roach or Jamar Williams could potentially fit in a 3-4. Hell, maybe you could get some value out of Mark Anderson in a 3-4 (albeit it would be a bit of a project). He's been completely awful since his rookie season.

The problem was the Bears were already buried. You had to see the writing on the wall cause the D had no chance at stopping the Packers. I can't wait to see what happens in a few weeks when they go up against Drew Brees. We may see a historical day.

I don't have major issues with Ron Turner. Is he the best no, but he's far from the worst and I do believe in Kyle Orton (not really going to hammer him based on this one game). I will still say a lot of the Bears offensive issues have to do with a complete lack of personell (ie a freakin WR whose any good). I also would never get rid of Dave Toub. Lovie is the worse in game manager in the NFC and just ignores the problems. He keeps thinking the D is good and that probably why we see morons like Harris, Urlacher, and Vasher continue to act as if nothing is wrong and that there is just always an excuse.
