  1. Interesting, makes sense with McBride moving to safety. Gives the Bears a bit more depth while they see if Vasher is healthy and if Moore is ready to make an immediate impact.

    Poor Rex

Wow, thats awful. I never expected him to fall that far and I still think a team gives him a call.
  3. Interesting, hopefully Vasher returns to form and Moore looks like the player a lot of people think he might be (and he seems like a great fit in the cover 2, where size isn't that important in the secondary) as Manning/Mcbride are nice Nickel and Dimebacks. And Graham, well he could be a bluechipper at FS.
  4. This seems like an excellent fit and he'd be a welcome addition to our starting defense. Hopefully we can get him inked.
  5. Oh and I'm fairly certain if there was a line, my % would go down cause I'm certain I'd get blocked a lot.
  6. I've hit a 45 yarder (a little wind to help me...sucker hit the crossbar dead in the center and bounced over). My real limit is in between the 35-40 as I'm probably about 50% from there. Of course that isn't that great, but thats with only soccer experience.
  7. Awesome recap Pix and it sounds like you guys had a blast!!!!
  8. Good approach Jerry. Last season people seemed to get complacent and while I like both Idonjie and Ogunleye, Oguneley specifically hasn't played all that well over the past 2 seasons so he needs to show up motivated and kick some butt.
  9. We heard a lot about Stelz when they drafted him and how much the Bears loved him. Than he kind of fell out of favor most of last year and was pretty meh in general. He definately lacked speed on the field as he was always a step or two slow in coverage. I wonder if he's improved this year or if the Bears are just talking out there butts knowing that they have mediocre safeties and nothing more. But in coverage our safeties, until they prove otherwise, are below average.
  10. I loved this guy coming out of State as well. I kept hoping he'd be a Bear. And I still would love him on the Bears. He'd instantly make our WR corps better by giving us a legitimate #1 which than pushes everyone else down the charts and takes pressure off of our developing guys. Hester gets more time, Bennett and Iglesias get some time and in general we just get a ton more depth. Plus Plaxico possesses a skill-set that none of our WR's have and could be ridiculously huge for us in the Red Zone along with Olsen.
  11. He was good in college, but never put things together in the pro's and while I'd like to give him a shot, we already have enough raw WR's in here right now, imo.
  12. I still don't get how they were able to get the appeal last season.
  13. They are a much much improved team. I wouldn't be shocked if they win 7 to 9 games this year.
  14. Entertaining article, I like it.
  15. Non story, unless of course thats a lie and he got stabbed or something.
  16. Sounds like the guy takes a few plays off but has very good athletism and potential to be a starter. Man, the Bears definately got athletes, now its up to the coaches to further develop them and turn them into NFL starters one day.
  17. I actually spoke to someone who was involved in bringing Earl in and they were raving about him and how much the Bears like him. Basically put, from what this guy told me the Bears belief is that a healthy Earl is the starter and it sounds as if he's finally healthy.
  18. And they are clearly trying to hit on some guys with first round talent, but who are raw, hoping that they can eventually develop them into very good football players. Not a bad idea, especially since we didn't have the early round picks. Its also why I like trading down because the more picks you can stockpile the better your odds that you hit on a couple of these developmental guys.
  19. Wow, this sounds like great value this late in the draft. Maybe the Bears found there Colston or something like that.
  20. As an Iowa fan I'd love to get King here. The guy has heart and should have a place in this league as a backup tackle or end. However, I think he'll get an offer from a team with much less depth at the dline and it would be in his best interest to take that offer.
  21. If we could get him for our future 2nd would you? The Bears would obviously have another draft without any picks in the early rounds but if you could combine it with what the club already has received in this draft it might not be too bad. I have no problem with the Bears being unwilling to give up much more though, since you do need to have early round draft picks to fill needs that might turn out to be pretty glaring during this next season.
  22. Wow, sounds like the Bears got themselves a football player.
