  1. Famtastic pick - dude is going to have a good career.
  2. I now think we will see a qb, rb, db, dline/oline with our remaining picks. No particular order but I see a lot of best available from poles right now.
  3. Yeah - whether I would have taken the exact guys, maybe not, but I like the positions he went and how he stayed patient. I still want a center if they like one - a developmental qb and If they like a back take a shot at one.
  4. I’m guessing Porter or a Dlinemen but I think the bears aren’t in a position to mortgage to move up that much. Better not be dangling any of next years FRPs.
  5. I think 2 dlinemen and a center, but definitely could see a db and I could see them maybe moving back and grabbing an extra 3rd with one of those 3 day 2 picks. Note: I have seen some rumors they are talking about jumping to 32. I would be pissed. No one I would give up a bunch of talent for to get up their. No thank you Poles.
  6. I think it was ski was a guard. He is going to be a really good one - but they valued the tackle over the guard and depth wise we have multiplE guard options.
  7. They got a tackle. I would have went Jalen, but I can’t argue tackle. I would have preferred one more trade down but you know what - I’ll take it. Now use one of those late rounders on the UCLA qb ro if Hooker falls to 3rd or 4th grab him.
  8. I don’t mind what Poles is doing. He knows this isn’t a one and done off season. He is working on making roster better but also balancing not getting wreckless as he knows this is a long project. Bears are still going to have massive cap space next year plus good draft assets…possibly great draft assets if the Panthers stink (hopefully bears pick isn’t too high cause the team had a good season).
  9. If we can ink Mooney around that range I am good with them doing it.
  10. He also has been very productive everywhere he has been too.
  11. Velus is pretty explosive so I do think he will be a good gadget player / special teams player.
  12. Seems like Gabriel was right. Bears didn’t even have him on their board as they didn’t see him a fit for their scheme - at least not at LT. Also seems very clear, he wasn’t interested in playing RT.
  13. Anyone have any idea / seen where the Bears stand from a cap perspective at this point? I am predicting we see one more big money signing (i.e. at our > Edmunds move). I'm assuming it will be a Dlinemen or Brown Jr.
  14. I'm curious how they do it; Edmunds is the most athletic - wouldn't you want that playing in the middle? Interesting to see - but last time we had a 4-3 Cover 2 shell - our LB corps had Briggs & Urlacher and that worked pretty well. Not saying either of them are those guys - but this defense puts its LB's in a spot to make plays and relies on having strong LB play. We also know we need to improve the line - to ensure the LB's can play with speed.
  15. 3yrs 30M; I wonder if Jenkins is flexing back to RT?
  16. Sanborn I believe played on the outside last year for us - so wasn't an MLB. I am guessing he'll play weakside, but we'll have to see. TJ & Edmunds are both very good in coverage.
  17. He is a very good linebacker, but he, just like Roquan was, have been light on the "splash plays". Edmunds is a really good athlete and I think both Edmunds and the other LB we signed are very good in coverage - so 3 down type of guys.
  18. 4yr 72M; 50M Guaranteed. Compared a lot to Roquan early in their careers. Turns 25 in May - so very young (albeit 5 years in the league already). Long and athletic - some of the same knocks Roquan had in the sense that didn't make as many splash plays. Missed a few games due to injury last year, but has had a good track record of being available (*knock on wood*). Pretty excited at how much the LB corps has been revamped today. It was awful last year - and Sanborn still has an opportunity to fit in nicely (plus I'm sure they'll draft someone later on as well). Shoot - I don't even remember who our LB were other than Roquan that we traded and Sanborn; I have to think really hard before my brain remembers them (which tells you how bad the rest of them were last year).
  19. People compared him a lot to Roquan and early in their careers I recall people saying Edmunds was better, so not surprised he got big money. He's in his prime.
  20. I was wondering same thing Pix. Or will they keep Whitehair as a flex option (not cheap). We know he played center earlier in his career too. Maybe they hold and cut him later (post draft). But one thing with Jenkins is his durability requires us to have a solid guard.
